Dropped the seeds into the Root Riot cubes this morning. I am growing the Divine Apocalypse (Diva), Strawberry Diesel and Kali Mist (Western Winds) again due to how amazing they turned out in size, ease and smoke. Way better smoke than the store bought kind. I cant say enough good about these three turned out, (way better than their Jack Herer, White Widow and Blueberry grow companions). I have some outdoor Orinoco ready to harvest in about one week and is looks and smells amazing, so decided to add it as my CBD strain. I usually grow CBD strains outdoors and after several successful small personal grows my friends and I have started believing some of the best well balanced highs are from CBD hybrids. I plan to start growing at least one CBD strain with each indoor grow. I had a couple freebie seeds (Neville's Haze and Northern Soul.) that have very good reputations so I threw in as the wildcards. All told I have plants that should harvest from flower in 9-14 weeks. I like the challenge of growing several strains. I find it more interesting and challenging, as each plant takes on its own phenotype and personality. They will all need a little different care. I wish grow diaries would design a giveaway for this type of grow. But then again, the rewards are in the grow and having several different strains to partake from. Crossing my fingers they all pop!

Well - lucky me - they all popped. Took 4 days for them all to emerge from the root riot cubes, (they are currently between 2-5 inches. The Neville's Haze is the most vigorous. The Northern soul was the slow-poke. They have been getting sun for 3 days now. Tonight they go under a LED system raised to about 36 inches to hit them softly. After 2-3 days of that - I will bring the light down. I will start lightly Foliar spraying them tomorrow. Everything is looking good- so far. On a sad note my outdoor plants took a hard frost last night despite being under cover. The last pic is of the Orinoco, she is almost black and smells amazing. I am debating to harvest or let roll for another week, my other outdoor ladies look sad and droopy.

They are doing very well. Really broad dark leaves. Had to back the light up a bit on them to 30" - misted them for a week, now onto fertilizing them. Light dose of Bio-grow and Cytoplus for a week then hitting them hard. So far so good - looking better than I had thought they would.

What a week. Lots of growth. One issue with leaves hugging the plant. 1. Divine Apocalypse, - man she has some broad leaves, looks like a maple and is the second shortest in stature. The last time I grew her she was one of the favorites. but she looked a lot more like a Sativa. Anxious to see how she pans out. 2. Orinoco - smallest in stature. 3. Strawberry Diesel - another favorite from my last grow and looking good. 4. Kali Mist - tall already. Legendary stuff here. 5. Northern Soul - looking good, second tallest. 6. Neville's Haze - looking solid and right in the middle of the pack. I fertilized them yesterday and all of the leaves are turned down this am, very deep green. Either root bound, too much water or too much fertilizer. I am going to transplant them tonight into large permanent pots and they are going in the larger tent under a 400W HID MH, I may bump to 600W, I will flower with 1000W. I tweeked my grow room a bit with knowledge gained from the last grow. I had problems with higher temps than wanted. This time I am pulling cold air directly from outside vs. was pulling from inside an enclosed insulated room. I suspect this will help immensely with temps, but the air will be much drier and significantly colder. Will be a work in progress, especially when temps drop down significantly during Dec and Jan. I plan to filter it slowly in thru small holes drilled into closed off ducting. I will take some pics to show the room and the system. Wish me luck! **************************************UPDATE********************************************* I transplanted into larger pots and placed under 400 HID. Results from transplanting are simply amazing and obvious. Within 24 hrs they brightened and opened up, (no more hugging the stalk). I added some pics to show the difference - I cant get over how much they responded to HID and larger pots. I think it was the lights more than the larger pots due to responding in less than 24 hrs. Temps ranging from 68-71. Humidity is low 25-33%, I may supplement with my small humidifier, it has its own hygrometer and so I can bump up the humidity as needed. The ladies are a'rockin

Quite the week for growth. All the ladies have responded quite well. The Neville's Haze has taken off the most and its genetics are showing. I plan to take it back under the LED and flip it in about two weeks due the rapid growth and long flowering time. Northern souls is the smallest in size, but all are doing very well and the genetics are starting to differentiate. I have noticed they all seem a litter smaller under the Ultrasun in comparison to the Hortilux. I plan to monitor for this as a trend.

The ladies are growing well. I did swap the plants under the lights. The Hortilux bulb had the nodes spacing much father apart than I like. I need to check the bulb life, I thought it only had a couple grows on it. Anyway, I swapped the ones that were stretching (Neville's, StrawD and Diva) and put them under the ultra sun bulb. I also super cropped them all again and micro topped. I also tied them all down for training. They responded exceptionally well. The Neville's haze is wood and she broke very easy, so tying her down didn't work well. I will try to go to low stress training and crushing for training. They are all sitting in Happy Frog soil and I have had no reason to supplement with nutrients. I do add Cytoplus in the water. Of note somehow my Orinoco was changed to Candida - weird.... I will attempt to change back.

? for experienced growers. 2 lights running. Plant genetics aside my Hortilux bulb may be causing stretch (more than I want). Node spacing is more than 2x's when compared to Ultrasun bulb and the Hortilux has my ladies tall. How far is to far for node spacing? Advice?

Hello @schmorgastheborg ! Anything above 5-6 cm is to far for node spacing. Maybe its a sign that the lamp has lost her strength or its just genetic because i don't think 20 inches is too high. I usually use every lamp for 2 grows only. Just try to place the lamp as close as you can without raising the temperature at the tops of the plants and hope for the best. Happy growing ! 👊
