Hello, this is my fourth grow (#1 & #2 on my profile). All bud is for personal use only. This go around I have 3 plants: 1 Surprise Auto & 2 Gorilla Zkittlez Autos. I grow in my closet, no tent, no filter, trying to see what kind of quality bud I can produce in this type of environment. I'm using Mother Earth's Groundswell soil with added peat moss. Using tap water. Using citric acid to lower the ph of my water. Oscillating fan for air flow. 2 art presentation boards lined with foil for light reflection. Cheapest ph pen & TDS meter I could find. DynaGro nutes grow/bloom along w OG Organics Tea & blended aloe leaves on occasion. ~this strain is a SURPRISE, labeled on the MSNL website as a random seed from their top-sellers~ sprouted with helmet head, I spritzed it with water and waited for the shell to fall off itself. It fell off within 24hrs. Unfortunately, the leaves that were not exposed to light within that time frame were underdeveloped, close-up picture on week 2

I struggled with thoughts of letting this plant go due to the leaf issue. Nothing else exciting to note for the week. So, starving artist part. Quit my job January 2020 so I could pursue jewelry making. The choice has been fulfilling but man am I just scraping by. All my grow items have been purchased here and there over a 2 year period. This is the first grow without a huge problem (so far 😬) so hopefully I've finally found a system that works for me. Hoping to get an ounce and a half off each plant. Let's see if using the cheaper stuff can do that. Btw I am kind of an "all-natural" person so I've spent a tad bit more on what I feel is a healthier soil compared to something cheap like miracle grow. Same goes for the nutes. After I finish these dyna-gro nutes I'll get a duo by Advanced Nutrients since I enjoy the tea I got from them.

This is where I would normally start LST but I've decided to skip that this grow to see how tall each plant will grow. 2nd time doing no training. Still monitoring growth which is slow, she is less than half the size of her sisters that sprouted same day. Soil has small amount of nutes in it which is why I haven't fed yet.

Gave a dose of cal-mag this week after noticing some discoloration on leaves. Going to switch her underneath the lamp with the other plant closer to her height. Noticing some fungus gnats. I wouldn't say it's an infestation. Waiting for the soil to get pretty dry between watering and using sticky traps.

Fed first round of grow nutes at the beginning of the week and she shot up. Plant has entered flower, lots of cute little hedgehogs forming. Quickly growing past the gorilla zkittlez she shares a lamp with. I may tie down the main stem a bit to stay even with the other. I had to do that in a previous grow (#2 white widow) mid-flower and it didn't seem to affect growth. They're at the stage where I visit them a lot and spend a bit too much time staring haha, I'm obsessed.

Day 37: Tied the stem over, saw some liquid droplets at the bend but at least it didn't snap. I removed some lower branches and bud sites but kept lower leaves. Moved the grow light over so now both plants get even lighting. Gave second round of nutes (1/4tsp grow & 1/4 tsp mikes og tea). Re-calibrated PH pen. Day 39: went up a node on the plant twist that's holding down the main stem. Added twist ties to the highest branches that are connected to the main stem. Goal is to keep this plants canopy even to the plant beside it. (Gave 1/4 tsp dyna gro silica) I'm thinking I may have got my seeds mixed. This may be a gorilla zkittlez and not the mystery seed. Looks a LOT like the tall lanky GZ that's placed on the floor edit: it is the surprise! Buds are smaller then the other two and pistil structure is longer, thinner, and curly.

Slight training on the main cola and top of the canopy. Lots of bud sites appearing throughout the plant. Water intake constantly increasing, pot dries out before all the others

small flush with water & ProTekt day 53, defoliation on day 49. Smell coming along. Using plant ties to bring outer branches to the center. Last week I took them off the table and onto the floor w lights @ 20" to encourage last minute stretching. Back onto the table today & lights are 11" away. Looking back, I spent a lot more than I thought. Probably could have omitted some things and bought a tent. Oh well, I'll get one in the next six months. Already planning what photo beans I'm going to snag. Thinking about trying a Banana Kush & Mango 🤤

I'm thinking phosphorous excess. Last feed was 3 days ago. fed 1tsp/g of mikes og tea 3-2-5. This yellowing wasn't present. Today ppm was 420 in & 774 out. Ph was 6.57 in & 6.99 out. Lights are 6.5" away from the main cola. 60rh, 79°F .Some leaf tips are hooked down. Brown spots

day 56: bloom feed 1/2tsp per g day 58: tea feeding 1/4tsp per g day 61: CaMg & bloom feed. I then noticed that the youngest leaves on all colas was a lime green color, had some pale spots, pink veins, couple brown spots, along w a strong smell of freshly cut grass PH in 6.57 PH out 6.99 ppm 420 in, ppm 734 out dli main cola 24 dli center of plant 2.6 dli mid-sized colas 9.8 I might add, this plant is between my 2 grow lights. It's positioned so that each half of the plant is under the edge of each grow light with the exception of the center of the plant not under the light. When the main cola is under the lamp the light is 6.5" away. I try and keep it slightly off to the side so that it isn't directly under so that it won't experience light stress. after reading up as much as I could, I've determined that my PH is too high, possibly causing lockout. Day 62: did a 9 gallon flush with water ph'd at 5.8, fingers crossed it helps & won't suffer any over watering symptoms. If you have any input as to what the problem is, please lmk. I feel stumped.

week 6 of flower is finished, 69 days since sprout. Super cropped maim stem on week 2 of flower & slight training to bring the other branches towards center of plant. This strain is a Mystery Surprise from MSNL. My guess is that it's white widow or AK47. Currently battling nutrient lockout. Did 2 flushes and watering with 6.0 PH. Next 3-4 waterings will be just water so she can use up the nutrients that have accumulated in the soil. Day 65: 1/4tsp bloom & 1/4tsp CaMg

Week 8 of flower is over, day 83 since sprout. I can only laugh at this point. I have failed this plant. Leaves keep dropping and curling, she's turning bright green and fox tailing. I don't think the citric acid is a great mix with my water. Recap: on a budget, growing in my closet with cheaper supplies, no tent, seeing what's possible of growing.
