First Time a Princess

This is my first C99 grow. I've being wanting to do this for a while, I have being impressed with Female Seeds in the past, the last plant out was a Pure AK which will be run again early next year, a superb plant. Lets sit back hope this C99 pops and see if she really is fast and furious sativa.

A Big week this week, she popped up, and i had the room to move her straight into a 2lt fabric pot. I do tis by providing her a buffer, a good dose of seaweed and some Mycorrhizal, if you grow organic the mycorrhizal is really worth trying , increased everything except stretch in my garden. So now she be left for a good 20 days before i look at fiming her. I will take cutting in about 30 days or 35 days and make pollen from her too, i'll reverse one clone with silver @40ppm for 6 days before flower cycle.

Week three, not a lot to say, last few days she's starting to get her roots, still no water since transplant , I like to run her dry at first after transplant. I think it will be two more weeks until FIM and three more weeks before we see flowers.

(Update; Ok didnt think i would be able to update today, today i did the fim at 24 days from seed, she is fast.. next week we see how many tops she will give..) Not a lot happening, just happy growing, she will be FIMed this coming week. Anyway has there is nothing to talk about I'll talk about dirt.. My soils were mixed, and composted initially for 8 weeks, I chucked a load of oats and mixed seeds in and composted the lot, I used John inns number 2 30%, 30% perlite, 15% worm poo and 5 /5 /5% chicken poo, bat poo and seaweed. I use the same soils to grow container vegetables in French beans add Nitrogen and rotating soils / crops keeps solid active. When I chop, the stalks get pulped and the soils and roots go to the rough compost bag, using fabric pots stops thick roots and instead you get a fine web of roots which compost easy. Three times a year I rotate and amend my soils with 15% worm poo and 5 /5 /5% chicken poo, bat poo and seaweed. I have added gravel and sand and more perlite, and extra base mix which I use John-inns number 2. Also, I compost all the container plants end of summer. I don’t add waste from the kitchen no worms and now need to add more volume. My soils are over three years old now. I shall try a grow with just water soon. Oh, also I use mycorrhizal fungus when transplanting. Feed your soils and your soils will feed you :) Green Thumbs to all the growers

The FIM is ok now, it slowed her down for a few days, this coming week i will LST her and take two clones from the bottom. she is vegging longer then i thought she would in 12/12, She is a nice plant. her leaves are curling up today but it is very dry atm. I do know the the soil is very rich though so maybe i stop feeding her seaweed for a two weeks,until flower has properly started.

Thank you for waiting this week is busy, also this is the first week that she is showing her sex, and starting the flower stretch. by now I thought she would be further along for a "fast" plant, but I can wait. She has doubled her water and her roots are growing through the pots, I will show them tomorrow when I show the TD. She is easy to work with and very supple to tie down. Maybe her flowers will need support later on, I wish! lol. Happy growing all. Box

All is good, i had to H202 some fingus gnats - i don't like using h202 on living soil but i don't see any harm done. bio will regrow withe a top dress tea. Happy Smokes Box

Still in flower - i cant change veg week to flower.. OK, shes looking really nice - a real true sativa, and short and mini for a sativa, beautiful node structure and slender fans, a real lady. I've not grown C99 nor Cinderella 99 before, so its hard to judge the smell, but this is the first of 4 seeds from femaleseeds and she did smell of Pineapple, like really pineapple and only pineapple, a friend says this is C99 its a cubed pineapple Cinderella mother. idk, the smell has faded a bit now. Issue this last couple of weeks was she had root rot and stopped drinking , here is the story. I use rootnurse pots excellent for roots, i did have her in a tray of water and seaweed for a week due to work commitments. i had this for three weeks but then the temp dropped at night, i didn't think much but when i came back home the box stunk of a Rotten pond... and she had drank very little and the pot at the bottom was slimy and horrible. To fix, one root fabric pots probably save her from total rot – thank you nurse. So I made up a solution of 1 part H202 – Peroxide and 4 parts water (H20), I used this to drench the root ball and sat her in the solution a ¼ up the pot for 15 minutes, I did this for two consecutive days – I know I needed to dry her out but 2 more days wet but clean is not going to effect the state of the roots compared to leaving her to rot while the soil drys out. I cleaned the environment – everything with H202 solution. I turned the fan up by two so to dry her faster, she has started to drink again but will refine from water her until she is dry. To help the soil good bio regenerate after H202 Nuke I will topdress with some of my potting living soil, and water. In two weeks, I will water with black strap molasses and a tea of compost, then just back to seaweed. This way she will be restocked with good bio from the topdressing but any bad rot should be overcome. The danger is of course I feed sugar too early and it just feeds the rot. It should affect her too much, she is early in flower so plenty of time to recovery. Happy Smokes Box

All good really, recovered after a bit of root rot - shes a N2 whore thou Just cant get enough. I love the structure of this a real bonsi landracy sativa. I never thought i could finish one of these sativa's in my box, not that she likes it much, ,but hey we work with what we got! Happy Hols Box

Here is week 10, I added some nitrogen at the beginning, so really end of week 9, she really likes the N2.. she is starting to fill out now the stretch has finished, she is displaying strong sativa traits. The lovely pineapple smell she had early in flower has transformed to a real grapefruit smell. The smell is unique, if you didn't know you was smelling MJ, you would be sure that you smell grapefruit.. I had to super-crop one main stem, she didn't mind and is now filling out all her bud-sites. It is to early to see any seeds from the branch i pollinated with left over TDBoi pollen. I don't hold much hope really. Maybe 3 more weeks, even four? but i feel three will see her at her finish.

Only 5 Days between update this week, but i needed to clean down today, so thought id grab some pics. Looking ok tbf, She is squeezed in for a sativa, but so far looks like she'll be ok. another 3 weeks / maybe two, haven't seen much in to way of seeds from the pollinated branch, but we will see. Smell has developed into a deeper grapefruit / pin apply smell too. Happy smokes all Box

So week 12, She was due to come down this week, but i think it will be end of this week or even next. If she goes until next week, she will be in the cold room for a week, as i need to cycle Black Dog into the flower room. She is as fast has "they" say but she still has the wild look about her, which is what I wanted, all these nicely behaved squat, do what you like indica dom hybrids are great, Pure Ak being a favorite, but just sometimes I want a feisty wild one. She is smelling nearly done. Talking of smell - i rearly if ever see Smell as a marker for ripeness, this intrigues me - we smell weed all the time to judge cure, freshness, dankness etc, but never use smell to harvest, I use a loop and trich color but to be honest i'm less about that now - bk in the old days we used Pistil color and re-tractness, the trich color is a good marker, but a newbie marker I believe, You soon get your eye into a ripe bud v a early bud - lets face it very few growers esp new growers are going to let it go too far! So smell - i notice at the start of flower, the smell can be wildly different to the finished bud, then it goes trough a clean smell, about week 3 - 4 in which the dom smell is all there is, then about 3 weeks from being done the smell is strong and gooooooooood, but around harvest time the smell fades to almost nothing, except when disturbed / trimmed ect. It got me thinking to a very stoned conversation with an old hippy grower, one of the only people I knew years ago who grew indoors. He used to say, i can smell when they are ripe, cuz i can't smell nothing.. i put it down to him just being old and playing at being mystic, but now i'm beginning to understand. Anyway she is a little later then i expected, but she is a beautiful wild, heavily laden with wild Sativa flower - buzzin! Happy smokes Box

Tbf I think she could do another three weeks, but she has to come down next week - i have striped the lower stuff from her - 6.5g wet quick dried to 2.5g - lower chaff.. nxt time i will strip all this off in week 2 of flower - although it did give me a taste of this fine herb - she taste of pinapple like lemon grass tastes of lemon. A real nice sweet smell. looking froward to curing her main colas for sure, Thanks for following - next week i will have the harvest pics, weights and smoke report - but here are the early summery; Smell - gorgeous Smoke - out of this world sativa Weight - less then norm - predicted final dry 18g Thoughts - needs space to be free and grow to potential Cloning - easy Growing - Med - needs a calm hand to tame her. Would grow again - YES!
