28 days from seed, 12/12 lights - fim'd at 22 days from sowing. I expect her to start flowing in the next ten days - fiming this early under 12/12 is always close to the sail. Too early and it stumps the seedling, too late when she had already started to flower and she wont recover any new cola's / stems. This way i can keep her at low profile, with many bud sites.
She has recovered well from the Fim, there is a good half dozen tops forming, just gone into flower at day 34 from seed, next week will mark her first week of flower. looking forward to a post Christmas chill with this one.
Big week, first real week of flower, LST was done early in the week and now she is in stretching, pulling the Critical linage down apart really promote in everything reaching for the skys, lots of tops with close nodes. I try to keep the center clear due to overcrowding the crown late in flower.
She is starting to drink to, it's still warm summer here so she has 500 - 750 ml day.
i expect to see a need to add a little N boost next water.
She has made a good recovery from the FIM and LST, I had to pull the main top back towards the centre so to shorten her and to keep a level canopy.
There is a couple of dominate tops coming now, I shall leave training now.
I used to defoliate, but I end up with bigger yields if I just leave them.
You will notice the dark dark green,
I add 10ml of Nitrogen once a some point during week 3 or 4 of flower, it helps build strong foundations I find. I never get burn, but they do go dark for a week or so.
Anyway, this Critical Kush is strong and growing fast.
I think one more week of stretch, then to fatten her up :)
This weeks seems to be the end of the proper stretch she may add 10cm more before she finishes.
She has buds all the way down each cola, she responded well to the FIM.
She has had a lot of water now that she is stopping the stretch and is still very wet, I will let her dry out so maybe no water for 10 days or so, you see the leaf’s how she droops them. I think this is because she is so wet, it is no problem the is starting to smell very fruity.
My observations on the critical linage are that the do respond to FIM and LST very well, has soon has you pull the top bud site down below the rest all the other push to be first and tallest, I maybe pull three down during the first week of flower, with critical linage this seems to work very well.
Linage I find this not so good is NL (northern lights) and White widow for me HST / supercropping works best for these NL / WW families.
So, I am happy with this plant, I use not to really want to like the critical linage so much – I don’t know, it seems a bit normal. But after all my experience the critical linage is a solid line and personally it gives me the best medicine for me at evening time.
Thank you for stopping by, Tight budz and sweet resin.
Thanks for waiting, I was away this week for four days, one cola grew into the light!, I am hoping that it recovers it is looking better and starting to fill out so fingers crossed.
She is till drinking lots of water, but she is late stopping the stretch this is good with the critical linage, for me sometimes the stretch is too short with some other critical crosses.
I am impressed with the smell and the amount off solid buds on the LST stems, the height is very uniform too - apart from the rouge one! haha
Happy growing!

Started to develop a deep berry smell this week, interesting as i've always had earthy Kush before. Ey days but she smells beautiful and deep forest berries.
Getting sticky too. I had a fungus gnat problem, so i had to let the soils dry and used H202 5:1 with water. The soil fizzed, the gnatts leave fried :)
sticky card cleared up the flys.

So getting close to harvest now , maybe two weeks. ready for Christmas :) so i find the critical linage does swell too much in small grows. I really like the critical line and I'm looking forward to this, what it lacks in density it makes up for in tops and quality.
This strain smells like deep berries on a forest floor it smells beautiful.
She is starting to shoot a tail so i will ignore that and look at other buds for harvest time.
Next week will be harvest week :)
Yo may notice that i don't change my feeds - i don't not being lazy - i use living soil and most of the amendments happen outside the grow cycle - i may top dress worm / bat guano, but rarely now my soils are mature.
I do like the critical linage for size and training, but i find esp at 12/12 from seed the buds are light in weight - big heavy hitter, but not a lot of weight, not much denseness, could be my box, but other lines can get real dense - i don't mind but just what i find.
So real easy grow, very uniform, no issues at all.
Thanks for following along

So here she comes to an end - well almost, she gave one clone with was seeded with the LadyBoi Dream. (Tangerine turned with silver) I now have mature seeds from the clone.
So Critical nice and easy to grow, grows typical of the critical lineage, nice consistent heights, responds well to FIM / LST even through early flower.
Nice frosting, I've said before the buds are not dense, but not airy, a really good resilient bud structure, fast to finish so doesn't have too much time to fatten up.
Also as before i grow in living soils, it's not uncommon for me to see random shoots form other seeds such as marigolds when i pot up. this i good for me. I have a feeling tha these critical lines would get real fat on hydro, but i'm more then happy with them.
I'm currently on a T-Break, stock up and stash time, the bonus is this will cure perfectly and be nicely aged by Easter.
I may have to have tester just so i can do justice to the review, I did sample a bud a week or so age and wow! Cured and stored this is serious Kush / Indica flower, spark up, lie back and forget your worries.
Very resilient to rot both flower and root. Flower i have never had any critical rot, this time you will see in C99 i had a root rot issue this cycle, well C99 had rot, same conditions and this Critical Kush had no worries, kept drinking rotten water until dry! the rotten water in C99 caused her to get sick.
So all told a nice flower, friendly plant.
Due to the consistency of height and positive response to LST / FIM I will make prediction that with a veg time she would make for a killer SCROG Net grow.
Happy Smokes - Next update will be the chop.
Definitely some heavy hitting Kush, good for late evening of seriously chilling, it has a very laid back euphoric start that just transforms quicley in a a very relaxed stone, not a narcotic stone, a real nice laid back, but heavy stone, listen to tunes, relaxed creativity kind of happy deep sleeper.
Good to relax the muscles, for me heavy indica's and Kush i prefer in small hits and ride through the high, else that fog my head, this Critical Kush will last me for a long-time, one for late summer evening after surf or gym, maybe a laid back bbq with mates, overly smooth almost fruity start with a musky woody fine finish.
Don't hit this and expect an easy time doing anything but sitting around chatting crud or melting into music. nice deep colors compliment the deep sensations of bass.
I had a sample of this a week or two ago and the immature bud was a bit wild, now some may say i cut this early, but with Kush / Indica's i like only 2 - 5% amber and somtimes non, heavy foggy herb is not a preference. I have a friend who lets them run lat and he loves the knock out, i suspect letting this one go late would produce a perfect heavy goodnight and forget everything smoke, as it is I'm well happy with my timings but its personal for sure.
If you too grow in a box, try this or any critical line from barney, always resilient, top shelf smoke and easy to keep small and produce well from over all size and speed.
Due to 2 month cure, its final weight is a bit open, but from experience im confident i'll get an oz of dry flower, i generally, weigh in the wet bud after the trim, then take 25% of the wet trimmed weight as the dry weight once I've dried and the removed the stalks and cured at 62%RH using the Bov packs - this weighed in at 111g so 11.1g x 2.5 =27.75 .. close enough its for my medication not commercial, I've noticed when i occasionally buy commercial its a lot drier then 62% good for cash, not so for bowls - so pls keep in mind my final weights are really at approx 62% RH

Thanks guys, good to have you on board, so just into flower, Fim'in is a bit hit and miss - by nature but you always sure of more tops then straight topping ime and less trauma too imo.
It is possible to take clones and FIM even at 12/12 from seed. You can take two clones, which are the first / bottom set of side shoots at about 30 days from seed, just before flowering and when the shoots have enough about them to root out.
