Cut cover crop as I’m not sure it is worth it too have. Watered and filled valve almost immediately. Was absorbed so I will add the second half of my watering mix tonight. Second run on this soil. May need to watch more carefully.
Turned off res and waited for valves to dry out. Waited one more day because media is so lite but too lite to wait. Top watered w/Fish Shit and 1/2 tbsp Recharge per gallon. Watered sparingly for 24 hour period due to fast drain. Was able to avoid water leak which was actually water overflow by NOT watching valve boxes close enough. Happy with results so far. Plan to kill remaining mulch and scratch the top leaving straw in place. Forgot to mention I added 4 red wiggles worms to each pot from yard compost bin.
Both plants in flower for most of this week. Showing hairs and bud sites. Light turned up to level 5 on AC controller. Plant A started to show some leaf curl so spent some time working on VPD. Needed to lower humidity by adjusting tent exhaust fan. Very pleased with larger 6” fan as it hovers around 0 and 1 to maintain humidity. Need to do some reading on defoliation and flowering. Plant B has stretched far more than Plant A. Plant A seems to be behind Plant A by a week or two with everything being the same. Light was raised this week. Mild pruning on Plant B. I t is a more open plant than A which I feel may be genetics as A looks like an Indica but B does not so much. Light top water with line drain. Plants look better in person.
Removed mulch layer and scratched in nutrients. Followed by .5 gal top water w epsom salt drench. Need to spray salt on leaves next. Short daily top water from line to keep top moist. Pulled some leaves to thin out both plants.
Tent has filled. Plant A stretched to the height of Plant B overnite. Still behind in bud development. Did scratch in 1/2 tsp of bat guano and watered. Top is full of roots. Buds seem to be growing slow but have frost so thinking this gonna go 75 days plus. Plan to add co2 if I can close tent and maintain vpd
Pictures suck. Plant B has some hidden but very frosty bud sites. Unable to get pictures while using two hands. Plant A is about 2 weeks behind. Plant B is quite pungent and difficult to be around without getting frosted just looking at it. Looking forward as this is first grow w new lights and living soil w mostly dialed in environment. Added 4 more red wigglers to each pot and hand watered with supply hose runoff. Light settled in at level 6. Tent fan running constantly at level 4.
