This seed was a freebie - AK Feminised was from CBD Seeds.
Orginally got Haze #1, however happy to use the 'free' sample as my sacrifical self-tutorial.
First week, as expected...
Going to be sat outside on the balcony until it gets bigger!
Outside on the balcony, capturing the rays in the afternoon!
started feeding small amounts of nutes from garden centre. Phostrogen. NPK 16-10- 24
Very strong stuff, however advised under good authority.
Just arrived in the post!
Trailing the grow tent out for when it gets too dark and cold outside.
Not taking her from outside just as yet. Just preparing for the swap later in the next month.
Signs of preflowers....
Getting dark outside fairly quick now, in a day or two daylight will be 12/12 and cold!
Finishing off from using the Phostrogen - NPK 16-10- 24
Slowly the flowers are beginning to be more visually dominant.
The weather outside is turning for the worst, setting up the grow tent with 97w for the remainder of the flowering stage.
Tent is not big at all, 40 x 40 x 100. However should be perfect for one or two plants.
All the hard work with LST has failed. Stormy week blew my pegs off and let her posture go!
Started to use Megabud by THC (NPK: 0-50-32). Not too sure how I managed to get the most obscure brand of fertilizer out there. However going to get it a try, definitely flushing that crap out near harvesting.
First week inside the grow tent in the shed. The tent is only 40x40x100 with the 97W CFL lights. Combination of 2600k & 6700k bulbs...
She is really taking on some serious shape and producing good surgery leaves. Seems the warmth and the direct lighting was a good change from the natural autumn weather.
After a little research I have decided to use some Molasses syrup in small doses for spraying the leaves and flushing the soil. Seems very good so far. Rather use a organic additive then the Previous chemical feritilizer as we get closer to harvest.
Week 7 of Bloom. 2nd to last week of the fertilizer, keep pushing the nutes up with a weak mixture of molasses.
Getting slightly taller per week it seems, getting very close to the CFL bulbs overhead. Still using 2xwarm and 1xwhite (circa 97w), I simply can't justify using more bulbs or a different rig, I may scare myself with how serious this experiment has become!
Just waiting on the trichomes to change in colour and shade, along with the hairy pistils. From the close up shots, I think it is safe to say they are crystal clear, like spherical prisms. check them out, should be the last few photos.
Any finishing advice would be most welcome! I wonder how dense these buds will be from small CFLs....?
Looks like it is not going badly for the one lady...
Well what an interesting week....
My own guilt enticed me to add another bulb, bringing the total CFL watts used up to 112w (6944 Lumens)... which for a 40cmx40cm tent should be ideal!
Realised I have been seeing a few fungus gnats flying around inside the tent, after looking closely at the top layer of soil, I saw dozens of small larvae wriggling around! Damm'it!!!
Scooped the top 1/2 inch of soil off, added a layer of dry perlite
and then strategically placed a pot of cider vinegar/soap to drown the flies.
5 days into the week, started to see all the major fan leaves start to turn yellow and mottled. Instantly thinking this must be the natural process of losing chlorophyll before harvest, as a result I started to flush out the soil.
Still flushing a few litres every other day and now looking at the fan leaves the yellowing looks more like a major nute burn from a lockout....
If anyone can identify the burns, let me know... I have no idea if this is natural slow down before harvest or a major nute lockout/burn...
Probably cut her down after 5-7 days of flushing (or longer if the burns stop), don't want any of that fertilizer in my lungs!!!
Last week, got to harvest her in three days. It been a long grow, good learning curve, with what expect not as much bud as hoped...
I want to get the other seedlings in the same tent back into serious veg mode with 20/4 lighting schedule.
Been flushing her out for the last week, by harvest day she will have been clean from fertilizer for 9 days. Plus the last three days (72hours) I will be leaving her in the dark to 'emergency ripen' a little more, hoping this trick only leads to a frostier more potent lady.
I did cut of two very small (low low branch) buds and gave then a quick vape. Glad to say got an instant shot of headiness/clean and cerebral, almost exactly what I hope for...
Judging by the trichomes pics they are predominantly clear/milky...
Not a fan of couchlock, therefore will give the Amber trichomes a miss this time round! ;)
Cut down week. Straight to drying/curing...
Not as smelly as I hoped, but I have tried a few premature buds already, it still has legs after a vape....
