Hello again, fellow growers!
As the journey with our cannabis plants continues, I'm excited to share the latest developments from our grow space. About 8 days ago, the plants underwent a significant transition as they were repotted from their initial 0.2 liter pots to larger 1.5 liter (0.3 gal) pots. Utilizing BioBizz Light Mix as the substrate, we ensured optimal conditions for their continued growth. Mycorrhiza was added to enrich the soil, fostering a healthy environment for root development.
๐ In hindsight, the decision to repot may have been a tad premature. While the root formation appeared promising, there was a need for more time for root penetration into the substrate. Nonetheless, we proceeded with care, adding a 3-centimetre layer of expanded clay for drainage purposes.
During the repotting process, the soil was moistened with 250 ml of water per 1.3 liters of soil, ensuring hydration without overwatering. Following this, no further watering was administered. Additionally, as a preventative measure against fungus gnats, a yellow board was implemented. Thankfully, the BioBizz soil has proven effective in deterring these pesky pests in the past.
๐ In the pursuit of optimal growth conditions, the light output was increased on the 3rd day of vegetation. We elevated the PPFD from approximately 200 to 350 by adjusting the Lumatek lamp to 80 watts and maintaining a distance of 30 cm (12 inches).
As we continue to nurture our plants, I eagerly anticipate the experiences that lie ahead with this remarkable strain.
Happy growing,
