Sharklato grow from hermie produced seeds from last grow.
Transplanted 01/2
Soil 1 part Happy Frog to 2 parts Ocean Forest.
x2 Vivosun VS4000, 18" from Canopy, dimmed to 5 of 10.
Nutrients 1/2 teaspoon per quarter gallon BioThrive Grow, 1/4 teaspoon per quarter gallon CaMag+.
Over watered on day 2 of transplant.
Back Middle plant growing slower then the rest.
When they started growing true leaves, the first set has 3 fingers, next set of leaves has 5 fingers, and now all new leaves have 7 fingers.
3 finger leaves could be natural, stress, genetics, or because plants were produced from hermie seeds.
Light dimmed to 5 of 10.
02/02 Topped 5 of 6 plants.
Split photos show before and after top.
Plant that wasn't topped is growing slower then the rest, was the same size and growing at same rate prior to transplant.
Soil in all pots seem to be taking a bit longer to dry out then previous grows.
I poked several small holes in the soil to aid in aeration.
02/07 posted individual plant pics of growth since I topped 5 days ago.
The plant I didn't top is still growing slower and leaves seem to stay curled down, I'm not quite sure the problem yet but maybe from over watering after transplant.
I have 2 stealth box cabinets that grow 4 small plants each, I used these to grow until I upgraded to the tent. I now use 1 of the stealth boxes to grow 1 plant of the same strain that is in the tent except for I try new growing and training techniques on this 1 plant and if results are good I try them in my next tent grow and this way I have a test environment so I don't hurt or kill my main tent grow trying new things. I will eventually use the stealth boxes for clones, mother plant, or something else.
Anyways, the plant I have in the stealth box is doing much better then the 1 small plant in the tent so I decided to switch out the plants so the plant that wasn't doing so good in the tent is now in the stealth box in "quarantine" by itself so I can find the issue. The plant that was originally in the stealth box is the smallest plant in my tent, as you can see it looks much healthier then the plant that was there before. I will continue to post updates on the potentially sick plant that is now in the stealth box.
02/09 Beginning of week 3, text and photo updates will be made throughout the week.
Turned light dimmer from 5 of 10 to 6 of 10.
Smaller plant was the plant transplanted on 02/07, see week 2 notes for more information.
02/11 topped smaller plant and plant in stealth box, hopefully this gets them to take off.
Girls have been thirsty the last couple days.
Humidifier stopped working, humidity was in low 30s for a couple days. Purchased a different humidifier until other goes through warranty. Humidity sitting at 50 now.
02/16 Start of Week 4
Signs of to much light, dimmed to 4 of 10.
Smaller plant starting to take off.
SCROG, should of put up sooner.
Stealth box plant is looking much better, little droop and still growing slow but much approved.
02/18 Posted pictures of growth since SCROG was placed.
02/23 Start of Week 5
Light dimmed to 4 of 10
Setup Scrog last week but only tucked new growth that grew above net since then. This grow was the first time I've tried Scrog so I played it safe, I will be more aggressive in future grows.
02/26
Defoliation of most of the growth below the net.
Switched to General Hydroponics Flora Gro and CALiMAGic, will start Micro and Bloom soon.
Stealth Box plant is doing good, still growing slow but not a bad thing when the box is only 36" tall. Will have to flip within the next few inches of growth.
02/29 Started adding FloraMicro nutrient
Light dimmed to 6 of 10
Drinking same amount of water consistently
No signs of males or hermies
Small Stealth Box plant is doing well, grew slow from the start and moving to the Stealth Box seemed to improve all around.
Light dimmed to 7 of 10
Developing more everyday!
Staying on the same water and nutrient schedule.
Stealth box plant is coming along, it ended up filling out the box more then I thought it would with it's slow growth.
03/22
Start of week
Light dimmed to 8 of 10
Developing more everyday
Moved Stealth Box plant to Spider Farmer tent with SE4500 Dimmed to 8 of 10
Figured since my seedlings for my other have some growing to do that the stealth box plant would benefit from being in a bigger space with more powerful lighting.
03/25
Last defoliation
Posted pics
03/29 Start of Week
Light dimmed to 8 of 10
Developing nicely.
Hope to see them start to fill out now that they've had a week to recover from defoliation.
Lowered FloraGro nutrients by 1tsp and upped FloraBloom by 1 tsp.
This was my first SCROG and I was not aggressive, I did not want to screw something up. I will be using the SCROG properly and more to my benefit in future grows.
I've never defoliated heavy in flower like I did this time. I was a little nervous but after, I'm glad I did it. Just being able to see everything going on with the plant now that there's no leaves hiding everything and how it reacted to training, gives me valuable insights for future grows.
Late Week 11 update but all pictures are from beginning of week 11.
Light dimmed to 7 of 10.
Slowed down drinking some, watering less often.
Plants have responded well throughout entire grow, have not observed any issues other then a little light stress that was quickly corrected.
I swear they look chunkier everyday, pics are from beginning of week but I'll have some nice updated ones in a couple days for week 12 for comparison.
Plants from my other diary were ready for the tent so I moved the 1 plant that I put in my SF Tent under the SE4500 a few weeks ago back in the stealth box to finish.
Decreasing light intensity each week, now dimmed to 5 of 10.
Stopped FloraGro
Decreased FloraMicro
Increased FloraBloom
Watching tricomes, they're almost ready!!!
Nice and easy grow.
Out of the 6 plants in the 8x4, 1 plant has purple buds while the other 5 do not.
These seeds were produced from a female that I intentionally pollinated with a hermie to prosuce more seeds. They were all the same strain, no chance it was something else. Seeds came from same plant and all other characteristics look the same so must be a Phenotype.
More photos and more updates to come once drying and trimming is complete!
Update 04/16
Stems seem to be at a good spot to start trimming, I trimmed part of a plant last night just to see where I was at after putting in a Grove Bag with new hygrometers, hygrometers were tested for accuracy and 3 were dead on and the other 7 were within minus 1% or 2%. Humidity seems to be good after sitting for 8 hours in the bag, picture added of the hygrometer in the bag.
I posted a picture of all all the hygrometers next to each other, all except the 1 in the Grove Bag.
Update 2, 04/16
Decided to trim some more, have 4 more plants to go. I'm using 1 ounce and 1/2 ounce Grove Bags, I'm using 1 hygrometer per plant so 1 plant might be 4 bags but I'm only putting 1 hygrometer in 1 of the 4 bags. Didn't think I needed 1 for every single bag, just 1 per plant.
Posted picture of bag with hygrometer from the plant I trimmed this evening.
05/22
Bagged 338.55g and smoked 1.32g while trimming giving a total of 339.87g/little over 2g per plant
I think I would of yielded more if I would of utilized the SCROG better, It was the first grow I've dome scrog and major defoliation at week 3 of flower. I think better plant spacing may of helped with yield as well. I've added a third light for the next grow so my floor plan is going to change quite a bit.
I harvested when mostly cloudy and some amber trichomes.
Started drying on the 5th, on the 16th I started trimming and with work and everything finished on the 22nd.
Drying conditions were 63-66 degrees, humidity 59%-64%.
I would normally hang the plants whole but I did my first SCROG this grow and pulling the net off the top was not going to happen lol, I cut individual branches off to make it easier.
I did not mix plant branches with other branches, I like to take individual plant weight and also jar each plant separately.
It would of took me forever to hang all of the individual branches so I instead used the SCROG net to set some on and then took some mesh drying racks I had laying around and laid them on my empty planters underneath.
I made sure air flow is good and I will also lift and move the plants around a little every couple days.
Excited for the smoke report! This way my first time producing my own feminized seeds and then growing them, can't wait to see how it hita!
@Lemonhazelover,
Much Love, Thanks!
Look forward to watching yours and other members grows, as well as picking up some tips and techniques to help me in mine!
@keldog420,
The seeds I used for this grow were from a female that I pollinated from a plant I intentionally hermied my last grow in order to produce feminized seeds.
These plants in this diary/grow has no hermies or males, all females from self produced feminized seeds.
This was my first time producing feminized seeds and is why I highlighted it in the diary title.
