I have a question. I have a 2 by 4 tent 60" high. I have a higrow 2000 watt led. The light is as high as possible in the tent for my plants. 2 plants are 3 1/2" tall 38 1/2" away from the light now. As they grow that will reduce. I don't want to burn. Take them out of the tent?
The main thing here is the light is way way way to strong for the space which is fine but you have to compensate your going to want to adjust your exhaust fan and your intake fan to run faster so the air can get cleared out as fast as possible as for training your plants they are going to grow a tremendous amount with that light in there so I would invest into some trellis netting (Scrog) this way you can control the stretch as well fill out your space to its maximum potential ! Checked on the little seedlings this morning and they are starting to pop through the rapid rooter "tops" I put over the holes. This is so cool. Quite a bit of study, money, and effort to get to this point. But well worth it!
Looks like the same tent I use. also, please don't underestimate the value of having the appropriate ph lvls. distilled water is at 7 which isn't too bad for soil however 6.5 is more ideal. also, it's a lot cheaper in the long run to get a digital ph meter and a bottle of ph up and ph down. Update; I just ordered 2 Mars Hydro 300 watt lights. 1 covers a 2 x 2 area so this should be good. Now I have to put this big 2000 watt light to work! Thanks again.
Thank you @TurkeyGravy. I have a ph meter I just haven't measured the ph in the water yet. I have read quite a few journals where a few people use it but I will measure it today. I read about earth juice crystals to raise/lower the ph so I will see where I am. I want to stay all organic if possible. Thanks for the feedback and comment. I was checking out your first grow and it looks great!
