Started germinating 4 seeds by placing them in a shot glass of water over night to soak up water. Then I placed them in a wet paper towel for about 10 hours and when I checked they had already sprouted. New to the Rapid Rooter but it was recommended to me so I will give it a shot. Hoping it produces positive results. Very easy to use, basically soak the plug and place the seedling in the centre. I germinated the seeding prior to ensure it sprouted. - Update - Rapid rooter so far has been success full I decided to stick with Pro-mix HP as that seems more available in Canada than Fox Farm. There are numerous Hydroponic store that would supply it but they are a 30min drive for me. Indoor Farmer in Waterloo is a great place to visit for any supplies or questions. Week 1 went well, seen a lot of growth so far. One of the seedlings sprouted missing a leaf. Seems to be a bit behind the others but still growing well.

Week 2 began very routine so far I have only watered with pH adjusted water and no nutrients yet. But looking to do a 1/4 strength feeding the next time I water. 10/26/2018 - Catzilla damaged 3 plants!!! I left the tent open for 5mins to get some water and by the time I was back the damage had been done. I am hoping they will still pull through. Any suggestion on what I can do to help save them??? Ironically the culprit appears to be my cat called Poison.... 10/28/2018 - 1/4 Strength of Nutes 3gallons (11355ml) - 6ml Micro/12ml Bloom/3.75mlCaliMagic 10/30/2018 Two days into first feeding. Plants seem to be pulling through and look good "Disco" still has some discolouration in the leaves, still unsure what is causing it. 10/31/2018 - Final day of week 2 Lots of growth since giving them nutes. On to week 3!

Week 4 - Nov 7th - Nov 14th Nov 7th Day 21 - 1/4 Strength Feeding - 10 days after last feeding - Did a small flush of 2 gallons in between Nov 8th - Day 22 - Began some Low Stress Training and Slight Defoliation which is not recommended for Autos but I have been doing it strategically to get the light to the lower regions of the plant Nov 10th - Day 24 - Plants seemed to have stopped growing for a day or so. Leaves started showing signs of root issues so I added more drain holes to my bucket to ensure better drainage Nov 12th - Day 26 - Flushed plants as drainage may not be the problem. Did a heavy flushing to see if plants are actually locked out due to salt build up/ph levels since I have been feeding heavily for Autos - Also defoliated all plants to improve light penetration. Not recommended on autos but in small doses seems to improve growth Nov 13th - Day 27 - Already noticed a difference in the plants, flushing has definitely helped and will be careful to monitor my feedings better

Nov 14th - Nov 21st - Week 5 - Flowering has no begun! Nov 15th - Day 29 - Flowering very nicely - Trimming and LSTing seems to be forcing more tops through - Will continue tying the tallest tops down spreading them out around the bucket trying to maximize space/light Nov 16th - Day 30 Nov 17th - Day 31 - 1 Month - Did a 1/4 Strength of the Lucas but increased CaliMagic to see if that helps with deficiencies - Tied Tops down around the bucket and trimmed leaves again Nov 18th - Day 32 - Big trim and LST day. - Cleared a lot of leaves to allow more light throw to the lower tops Nov 19th - Day 33 - Lots of trimming on this batch. Decided to see if autos are capable of being trimmed and so far it appears to be working well Nov 20th - Day 34 - Nothing to ensure plants can bounce back Nov 21st - Day 35 - End of Week 5 - Plants Have definitely moved into the flowering stage - 2 seem to be further along than the others - LSTing heavily as well hoping to.keep canopy even and potentially add a few more tops - May have an issue with lockout. will wait another day and flush plants

Nov 22nd - Day 36 - FLUSHED - Flushed plants as worried about lockout - I swear I am now getting a small hint of the cheese small but it may be in my head - More trimming and LSTing Nov 23rd - Day 37 - Switched to the HPS - Installed HPS during the off period to make sure bulb was not hot - Not essentially need but some sites/growers suggest even for autos to switch from MH to HPS during flowering as it may increase trichome production Nov 25th - Day 39 - Feeding time - Added more bloom to this batch as it is for the flowering stage and i am hoping to encourage big buds - Very dry conditions may need to invest in a humidifier for the next grow

Nov 29th - Flushed plants - 1gallon each plant - 3/4 are flowering really well. Interestingly Cheetos the one first to sprout and veg but the last to flower. In the flowering stage now but behind the others in terms of flower growth - Started undoing the LST as the plant growth has slowed now and it is focusing on flowering Nov 30th - Day 44 - Trimmed Cheetos to see if that may encourage some more flower growth - Rotate the buckets regularly to make sure light hits all sides Dec 3 - Day 47 - PH Water only for 3 out of 4 - Disco got a small dose of nutrients as it is still behind the other four autos Dec 5th Day 49 - Last day of week 7 - just letting them grow, all tie downs have now been released and some minor trimming

Dec 8th - Day 52 - Flushed and trimmed -Really pushing these autos to their limits to see what they can handle Dec 9th-11th - Day 53-55 - At this stage I have been leaving them alone to do their thing - Only trimming the dead leaves Dec 12th - Day 56 - Notice Cheetos has developed a high PH. I immediately started working to correct that - flushed again

Dec 13th - Day 57 - Checked trichomes under Microscope and saw the first signs of amber trichomes on Gimli Dec 14-16 - Day 58-60 - Left plants alone Dec 17th - Day 61 - 2 Months - Flushed with tap water only. - A friend of mine gave me a good tip. While flushing do not PH your water. This way no nutrients are absorbed into your plant and you will still get the intended flush with a cleaner finish @Primitive Dec 18th - Day 62 - Changed Light cycle - Slow flowering time so increased the dark time to maybe help encourage some more flowering - Changed to 16/8 from 18/6 Dec 19th - Day 63 - Nearing harvest - Cut some early bud off Gimli to cure and see how it compares to bud harvested later Week 9 down and Gimli looks to be ready first. Gimpy looks the best but needs to flower a bit longer. Cheetos and Disco seem to be behind, may have been caused by trimming leaves. Will have to hang back a lot more on the next grow

Have not gotten final weight for it yet, still drying *******update - Gimpy produced 52g****** Dec 29th - More Nutes - Add a small amount of bloom to watering today to maybe help encourage the bud to fill out. Any thoughts?? Jan 1st - End of Week 10 - Cheetos and Disco seem to be developing still - Maybe another week before I Harvest them, unsure why they are so far behind

Week 11 - Jan 2 - 9 Jan 4th - Watering - Added some CaliMagic as there were some signs of decencies and PH was on point. After this it will surely be time to flush? Jan 9th - Last day of Week 11 - Getting close now. I believe within the next week I will harvest Disco. Cheetos seems to need a bit more time yet Unsure why these last two autos are taking so much longer to finish up. Trying to be patience and see them through as they are so close I can actually smell them LOL! Any suggestions on how to speed up the flowering process are welcome!! - I have currently been trying to increase the amount of time the receive darkness to promote more flowering

your plants will look good with multiple good size colas! Have you checked your runoff to see how many ppms you are getting. How come your night temperature is higher than your day time? Ideally 15 deg Fer difference between night and day will give you rock hard colas 👍

GreenHouseLabcommented6 years ago
@Wiebechillin, Have a read its quite interesting and probably explains why your plants are dense and not tall and flimsy.... https://hightimes.com/grow/grow-hack-day-and-night-growroom-temperatures/

Wiebechillincommented6 years ago
@GreenHouseLab, Thank you! This is my second grow so I have not bought a ppm meter yet just mainly because I had some success without it on my first grow. I am planning on getting one asap! My night time temps are higher because the city I live in has an "on-peak" hydro period from 11am-5pm so I have my timer set to turn off my light for that 6 hour period to try and utilize the cheaper hydro at night and it works great with my 18/6 light cycle. So the temp fluctuation can actually benefit the colas density? I was worried to much fluctuation would cause stunting?
