The seed germinated very quickly in 24 hours in the paper towel, I planted it straight away, it came out in 2 days and since it has developed well and she is in good health, for the start of my first grow I am satisfied and I can't wait to see what happens next :)
After germination the plant did not develop very quickly I suppose that this is due to the strain being quite long for an auto, apart from this average start it seems in super health she has a beautiful green with pretty leaves, my substrate was already wet so I only watered very lightly at the end of the week.
Also the second layer of leaves is starting to show, to start more consistent photosynthesis, I really enjoy growing :)
This week went very well, she’s well launched into her vegetative phase, the leaves quickly developed, it grows much faster, I brought the lamp closer by 10cm it must have helped. I didn't water this week but I will do it early next week.
Unfortunately, some personnal obligations forced me to leave my plant alone for a week, so I don't have any photos from the end of this week and I would only have photos from the end of next week.
Apart from that, it continues to grow well, I watered well just before leaving I hope it will be enough, especially since she’s a bit bigger her water needs become bigger too. I can't wait to come back, it scares me a little to leave her like that.
Amazing surprise on my return she is beautiful and very green, she has grown a lot in size and her stems have thickened. I'm starting to see small leaves coming out of the buds at the base of the nourishing leaves, I hope that new ramifications will soon appear.
I also notice that the room smells slightly, what I didn't expect because there is no flowering at all but its quite pleasant :)
Here we are !
It started to flower at the beginning of the week, it is growing in height and the secondary branches are growing a little, and the main head is magnificent. It's not a big plant but I'm happy to have a decent result for my first try.
This week I removed the first 2 pairs of nourishing leaves, they really didn't receive enough light. She's finished stretching and the buds are really the priority for her now :)
I'm gone for 2 weeks, I won't have any photos for those weeks all I can say is that the sugar leaves of the main bud have turned a pretty cool shade of purple, I didn't expect they take this phenotype, It doesn't seem to be due to a lack/excess of anything, perhaps because of my low temperature, don't know if it's common with jack herer strains.
I finally came home and it smelled really strong throughout the apartment. The flowers have developed well especially the secondaries and there are more trichomes now, I also removed 2 leaves from the bottom which were yellowed. Half of the pistils are brown, I think the harvest is close :)
Really low harvest on my part but at least I got something for a minimal budget and a really cheap setup, I learned a lot and it was a nice experience, I can't say much about the variety, just that she managed to provide a little bit of weed with what I gave her.
@Jack11, Thank you for your detailed response, I appreciate :)
For the next time I would do LST and I would better optimize my lighting with additional bulbs if I can, I would also change the substrate and add mycorrhizae.
I also thought that putting at least 20 hours of light would be a good idea, but is it a good at this stage of flowering?
Nice noodle :) This bulb is good only up to 3rd week with distance from 30cm (after germinating) to 15cm(3rd week), with plant height 15cm too.
Then canopy area, light angle and intensity goes not together... Need add 2-3 bulbs after week 4 and start again at distance 40-60cm. This one will produce minimum yelds.

@jakethedog, this year im trying cheap emos 19w bulbs, with removed plastic difusor. It really works, but high voltage without covering is little bit dangerous. Already hitted me 2 times :D I cant see difference on plants between sansi and this bulbs for less than quarter price. Only lifetime can be lower, they are shining 3 months without problem, 4 bulbs in distance 20cm for 60cm tall plant... Much safer what i can recommend will be ready products with promo from marshydro, spiderfarmer... etc, with dimmer. Its not cheapest, but it have much more power, dimming, hundreeds od leds, deatachable led driver (heat source).... Or you can buy 2-3 more sansi leds :) p.s.: look at spring discounts, sansi have promo too. I am using same bulbs for vegging vegetables in grow tent, all plants looks happy. What you need is adjust ppfd/DLI, try app for mobilephone "photone" ;)
And yes, LST is way. But now too late for you. Now you need more light power. Next time: 1 bulb start with 1ft distance from germinating to 1st week veg, then each week 1" lower. After 2nd veg week apply LST. 4th week after plant stretch increase light distance with more light power (at least 60w). Now you have maybe 600umol at top of plant, but lower leaves (at 0-60cm) do not receive enough light (less than 150micromoles is useless). This is reason, why is better use strong lamps (150w or more) with higher position... If you have at 2feet distance 600micromoles, 1 feet lower your plant receive still enought (+-300umoles) With this one 24w sansi you have 600umoles at 0,5ft, but 1 feet lower you have 1/4 of light. And this is not good.
I knew that this bulb was not of very good quality, with lst it could have worked better perhaps?
What lamp with a small budget do you recommend ?
Thanks for your advices :)
