04/02/24: 72 hour initiation soaking
05/02/24: 4/5 Sprouted
06/02/24: 5/5 Sprouted
07/02/24: Sprouts transplanted into rock wool cubes
... Now I will wait until the end of the week and then move the sprouts into the aeroponic system. The aim is to obtain a good initial elongation.
10/02/24: Elongation period over, I proceed to choose the 4 best genetics and move them to the areoponic system
Beginning of the vegetative phase, the focus of this first week is to bring the apicals to the center of the respective growth areas (I only have a small central lamp). I hope to be able to start with the first topping this week but I prefer to leave a few more days if I see that the girls are not ready yet.
Explanation of the plant training:
- LST: The goal is to keep the tip as close to the lamp as possible.
- HST: Removal of lateral branches to concentrate energy on the apical
- Topping: The idea is to obtain 8 or 16 tips from each plant in order to have more homogeneous buds
Leaf necrosis is due to the alkalinity side effects of silicon-based foliar spray on plants that are still too young.
This week I will stop the administration of silicon to allow time for beneficial fungi and bacteria to colonize the plant before stressing them with potassium silicate which is a natural antifungal.
Sad me :(
I'm sorry for the plant that I accidentally killed by breaking the main stem; I'm currently trying to resuscitate it by keeping the two parts forcibly attached, if by the end of the week it hasn't recovered in the slightest I will remove it to avoid the risk of it rotting.
This week the plants have literally exploded, I will resume the application of silicon and I will use super cropping to keep the taller plants at the level of the smaller one as well as trying to cover the free area left by the plant that I accidentally killed. If the situation allows it I could start with the SCROG.
Another week of vegetative growth has come to an end, I think this week they will all go into pre-flowering. I will continue to apply supercopping to keep the tips all at the same height and to apply silica foliarly.
The plants are starting to flower, I left this week of tranquility to let them fully recover from all the training carried out in the previous weeks. From now on I will only proceed with supercropping and in case of extreme necessity I will apply a second scrog network.
This week the plants entered hard flowering, I continue to apply supercropping to keep the apical level at the same height. Everything is going great, I just wish I had another scrog net to support the incoming outs
Another week has come to an end, in the last 3 days the bud sites have multiplied visibly, I expect explosive growth this week which is why I will continue to apply potassium silicate during the week as well as, as my usually, the application on the weekend.
In the last 3 days the buds have been swelling visibly. I cleaned the plants from the lower leaves that died due to lack of light and the supercropping is keeping the tips at a consistent height between them.
