Left them in der germination pots for the first 2 days of vegetation before moving them to their big girl pots on Day 3 (2/7).
First round of nutrition.
Wasn‘t home for a couple of days and the babies ain‘t babies anymore.
Amazing growth and shape.
The leaves were a bit drooly after watering. Something is causing them stress. Going to reduce water/nutrients and skipped another defoliation for the sake of a happy plant during pre bloom.
We have officially entered blooming stage .
The two look alright. I have one single leave showing early signs of CalMag defficiency so I am going to keep an eye on that.
Debating another defoliation later this week.
Switched Lighting to 20-4 to support strong bud growth.
Ok. It‘s been a rough week. Adjusted pretty much everything as my BK-plant was showing strong spotting.
Here‘s what I did last week:
1. flushed plants and fed CalMag and general nutes (bio)
2. cut off damaged leaves
3. increased temperature
4. lowered fan to improve soil ventilation
5. increased distance to light source
6. took 5 days watering hiatus
Let‘s hope for the best.
Hey there :)
Good news- the Bubble-Kush-Drama seems to be over (for now).
I had been using mineral nutes for Veg without adding ph+ which caused her some blocking and, ultimately, spotting. I flushed her two weeks ago and switched both to a bio autoflower nutrition.
Since then, they have both been easy going but you can definitely tell the Bubble-Kush went through some stress… Northern Light might just be a couple of days ahead but she is definitely the one getting me more excited for now.
As these two are heading towards their finish lines, they welcomed a new roommate (Black Muffin F1 Fast Version) today :)
Nothing new here. My BK and I are not going to become best friends this grow but I have much respect for her (and my fight).
Both plants‘ buds are growing, thickening and producing terpentines but it‘s definitely the Northern Light that get‘s me to look forward to lightning it up (in the best way).
Update!!
It seems like Bubble Kush was just a bit behind because of all the stress. She has been ramping up her terpentine profile like crazy this week 🙌
NL was flushed today, will probably flush BK later this week.
Both plants have reached the final stage.
I flushed NL three days ago and BK got her last shower today. The sugar leaves on both plants are changing their color. All white terpentines.
For some magical reason, they managed to be ready by 4/20 :)
While my Bubble Kush Auto was sensitive to pretty much everything, Northern Light Automatic was cool with anything. Very forgiving plant and her buds had an amazing terpentine profile. Still, not the densest buds.
Definitely recommend!
Ok, so this entire thing was probably more a me-issue than the strain but the Bubble Kush tested me. I did tons of research during her grow because she kept reacting to low ph levels, too much nutes, too little nutes, calmag,… you name it, we went through it.
BUT we made it to the other side and she lived up to her calling name „Tiger“ with the fight she put up. The result looks amazing. Beautiful plant in late flower and big yield even with all the stress.
@Jack11, thank you! We are THIS close to harvest and for now, it looks like it bounced back even though bud density and terpentine profile could be better on BK…
Overwatering definitely sounds like me 🙄.
@sarahkbc, the tent is 60x60x160.
I prefer to keep it at two plants but can fit three small-mid sized plants easily (if this is where you‘re going haha)
Enjoy your first grow journey
