OVERALL OBSERVATIONS: Hot this week! Buds fattening up nicely. Platinum Cookies and Platinum Purple are getting super frosty, while some pixie dust is starting to appear on Lemon OG. Did some light defoliation throughout the week of lower leaves and any bigger fan leaves that were shading popcorn buds.
SMELLS: Cookies was initially minty and now more like toasted pecans and now also rubber. It smells really good! Platinum Purple smells like a musky grape Jolly Rancher. Lemon OG smells a bit like hash.
WATERING: Now using bottled water which the plants are loving and added a touch of coconut water. I soaked them well on Friday because I went to a big music festival this weekend and came home today to some thirsty plants. I've needed to water almost every other day because of both the increased size of the plants and the heat.
NUTRIENTS: Just a little coconut water which I read in High Times is a good potassium supplement. No nutrients from here out.
PESTS: Still some fungal gnats but I'm persistent with diatomaceous earth over the soil. I've been so careful not to keep moist soil but with it drying out every other day this has been difficult. No noticeable eggsacks or leaf nibbling otherwise.

You are so close @TheFairyBudMother
I can't wait to see how this looks once you pull them all down!!!!
Tag me in a comment when you harvest so I can check it out friend.
Cheers!
@DabCrab,very soon! I have my cutters ready.
What's your thought on leaving plants for a full day or so of dark before harvest? I see this recommended but I don't understand why this would improve the end result.
You must fill up your trellis before switching into 12/12. That means you have to put a top in 85% of every holes and let each tops grow 2 nodes minimum before switching them into flowering . It's a long process to scrog plants but patience pays π
@JUNGLE_B4RNS, Yeah you told me before, and now I will be lucky to get a few joints. I had a friend encourage me to flip earlier because we all go to Burning Man late August, and I can't trust other people in my house to do fairybudmother duties while I'm away like water, climate adjustment, and check for bugs, balls, bananas, mildew and mold. So I wanted to be sure to finish in early August. I think my friend, who does SOG and maybe it makes sense for him to flip at 4 weeks, also wants to be sure to get in on the harvest.
I have a whole list of things I will do differently next grow. Many lessons from this one.
Thanks for your help!
That lemon og is looking so dense and potent! Cool to see how the Platinum Cookies strain grows too, from what i've understood most 'cookies' strains grow small bud clusters right? Looks like a good lilliputian town to be living in to me π

Spider mites my friend .... they are the worst π
You're starting a long battle, increase RH , and spray Neem oil every 3 days for 2 weeks , I hope you'll get rid of them before you can't spray anymore.
@TheFBM,you should get rid of them in 12 days , 9 days should be enough.
These bastards reproduce every 3 days , first spraying will kill the adults ( spray under the leaves ) , 2sd spraying will kill the new generation. Keep in mind that it won't kill 100% at each spraying , so it's better to do 1 or 2 more spraying .
I really hope you get rid of them before flowers starts to bloom !
Diatomaceous earth is excellent π
Just in case , get some ladybug π when blooming ( a full bag for each plants ) and put them when your lights turns off .
@JUNGLE_B4RNS, thanks for being the bearer of bad news. I've declared war on these little @holes. I got a swamp cooler in there, which raised the RH to about 65 and lowers the temp to 77 which seems copacetic with the VPD charts too.
I pulled the lower most infested leaves days ago and got rid of them, cleaned the space with alcohol/water, sprayed the plants with water then soap/neem/eucalyptus, have the fan going a little harder, and covered the soil with food grade diatomaceous earth. I will keep at it as I know these are horrible mofos. For now at least plants look healthy.
@JUNGLE_B4RNS, I recently saw The Brian Wilson Orchestra perform The 50th Anniversary of Pet Sounds at the Santa Barbara Bowl!
I currently live a bit south of where "they're surfing the nose." I have to drive 45 minutes north or south to the pot store or order illegal delivery because my county is still backwards about cannabis. I can legally cultivate with my medical rec. I can't do it outside though even though this is an ideal grow climate. So ridiculous. Luckily I am in an accepting neighborhood.
@CANNASIM, thanks. I'm pretty sure that's an improvement over spider mites, though I would prefer no pests. I used cold pressed organic neem oil, 1 tsp/gal with Dr. Bronners soap, actually went in with a small paint brush and then sprayed.
@HOW_i_GROW, All of my clones came from Buds and Roses in LA, and I'm pretty sure they are all Kyle Kushman's veganic strains. I sent an email to ask because @GrowDiaries requested the same info, but they haven't gotten back. I will find out though!
I'm hoping to go in and get schooled on using and maintaining a living soil instead of using soil as a substrate for water and direct to plant nutrients.
@TheFBM,alright. It's a lot of money for an 1/2 once π±
Hum sorry ... I can't tell where I leave, let say that I leave somewhere in North Pole between Santa and SuperMan houses π
