Drive-Thru Wedding by Covert Genetics in Living Soil
CannabisFarmerGuyDude Here we go again! Running all Covert Genetics this time but doing separate diaries for each strain. This will be the one for the Drive-Thru Wedding (Wedding Cake x Gas Powered Sherb X Chem Brûlée (Copper Chem x Lemon Brûlée) )
Trying to get 2 females so popped 4 seeds each. Used paper towel method and got all 4 to pop within 1 day.
Filled red solo cups with Build A Soil 3.0 and planted each seed then watering in with some dechlorinated tap water mixed with a splash of the Therm X70 Yucca Wetting agent and just shy of a full tsp of Rootwise Mycrobe Complete. After being in soil for less than 24 hours most of them have broken the surface and some even have shed their seed hull which is great this early!
Preparing the 30 gallon containers for transplant. Have been watering a few times a week with an IPM to try and knock out the remaining fungus gnats. This is dechlorinated water, 1 tbsp of Neem, 1 tbsp of EM5, and a couple tsp of Dr. Bronners Hemp Castille Soap. Seems to be working at least somewhat. Have also placed a handful of yellow sticky traps in each container.
Planted cover crop about a week prior to germinating seeds and that has started to sprout and get established. Have been watering with Yucca Therm X70 and Rootwise Mycrobe Complete and then hitting them with the IPM (Neem, EM5, Castille) as well.
Plan to veg these for about 5 weeks or until they can be sexed and then transplanted into their final home in the 30 gallons. Will move them to 1 gallon pots before they outgrow the solo cups.
Have also started a worm bin for this round and will be putting about 25 worms in each 30 gallon to help breakdown organic material, cycle nutrients, and add to the microbiology. Purchased 1 lb of Red Wigglers and put them in a 15 gallon black tote with a lid. Lined it with some shredded cardboard, some old organic potting soil, a bit of craft blend, crushed egg shells, and have kept it wet with dechlorinated water with some Rootwise Mycrobe Complete. Have fed them with a mixture of shredded lettuce, banana peels, and avocado peels with a little bit of avocado left in them which they seem to be liking a lot.
