Hi there. It depends. Topping has the advantage of giving you an even canopy, which ensures that the top buds receive light more evenly. But you can also pursue a similar goal with LST. With topping, the ladies need about 1 week longer in the vegetative stage because they have to recover from the intervention. During that time, the side branches also get a bit more momentum, so they grow towards the height of the main stem. With a scrog net, you can additionally ensure an even canopy. Without HST and LST, the main buds get quite a bit of light, while the buds on the side branches don’t get as much light. It depends on how much time you want to give them in the vegetative stage.

jo69420 last day of week 4 i defoliated a bit of the big fan leaves so the lower nodes can hopefully get more light and catch up to the top canopy. will keep trying to make the canopy of nodes even until plants are bigger. most likely gunna veg for 6 weeks.

should i veg till the end of this 6th week or go till 9 weeks? im not sure what would be good for the size of my tent, especially after they stretch. id love to hear people's thoughts on if they'll be big enough once they stretch after 6 weeks. 5 days till end of 6th week btw

I think you could almost flip them end of this week or if you can wait 1 more it would give you a little more growth

how longh is a piece of string?
It will depend on your growing conditions light strength feeding etc etc
also genetics will play a part in yield potential
but if its a ball park figure you want then I'd say 20-30grams per plant is possible
