Doc_Homegrow Yesterday I started my first grow. I am using Runtz Auto from Zamnesia, because it is a good starter for newbies. I just have very little room for growing (60×60×120 cm), so I decided to use just one seed and LST/Scrog. I plant the seed directly into the pot, because I have read that this is the right way for an automatic flower. I use a choped bottle to substitute a greenhouse. I am growing "low budget", because it is my first time and I dont want to spend much money. The soil is Biobizz-Light Mix. I used about half a 20 L pack.

Doc_Homegrow One week has past since I put the seed in the earth. I water the plant as soon as the earth feels dry (not completly dried out). I just use about 100-200ml water (because I don't want to "drown" her). My lamp is at 50% because it seems to be a little to intense for the small seedling at 100%. UPDATE: My first mistake Found out that the leafs of my seedling rolled up, because the light was too intense for the young plant. So I put my light again on 25% (around 6.200 Lux). I have read that a seedling just can take light between 5.000 and 7.000 Lux. My lamp was around 18.000 to 19.000 lux! So I am very glat, that I haven't killed my plant 😅

Doc_Homegrow My plant revocerd pretty good from the light-burn. The new leafs are looking healthy. The young plant is still to small for fertilizer. I want to start use Biobizz Grow when she is around 13 cm tall. I let the fan run many hours per day to strengthen her stem and make her tough for LST. Update: She has developed 4 real leafes and is about 12 cm tall, so I decided to start use 1 ml Biobizz Grow per litre water. I want to use the suggested 2ml as soon as her leafes have developed a little bit further.

Doc_Homegrow My plant is growing pretty well. She has developed many new nodes, since I used fertilizer last wednesday. I want to top her next wednesday or so, becuase of my limited tent-height. I also put the light from 14 DLI to 20 DLI. I want to increase the intensity every day a bit more to let her slowly adapt. Edit: I rotated her so that she can absorb light evenly and therefore grow evenly. Update 08.04.24: Some roots have reached the surface, so I decided to cover them with some new soil. I also decided to top her today and bend some of her leafes down. Update 09.04.24: I actually didn't want to start LST until next week. The topping is actually intended to strengthen the growth of the secondary branches, but a few of these branches received little light. That's why I decided to start with LST now and continue to enable the growth of the secondary branches.

Doc_Homegrow I trained her pretty much in the last week with LST. I also constantly trim her leafs and cut off fan-leafes to improve the airflow and to let the lower branches get more light. Update 18.04.2024: Yesterday I cut off a few fan-leafes. I want to improve the airflow and I hope that the plant got more energy for growing branches because of that (I thought it would might work like lollipopping). I also turned the pot because one twig is significantly smaller than the others and I want even branches.

Doc_Homegrow She shows the first signs of flower, I have found some hairs. I started to use 0,5 ml/L BioBizz Bloom and Biobizz Top Mix additional to my 1ml/l Biobizz Grow. The most branches are getting trained with LST. I am pretty Happy with the outcome right now. Hopefully I can start to use a Scrog-net next week :) Update 22.04: I cut a few leafes off and did some LST. I try to bend some branches in every direction to fill out my tent as much as possible.

Doc_Homegrow I lowered the temperature by opening the window in my growing room for a few hours at night. I increased the amount of fertilizer to the suggested amount from Biobizz. I also cut off a few "buds" and leafs. Did some LST and bend some branches like crazy. I try to get a very even cannabis-plant with an even hight. Update 07.05: I tried to do some lollipoping. Hope that the main-buds will now get more energy. If nothing changes in a few days, I will start to go on with trimming. I decided to cut off the lowest branches from the tribe. It was a tough decision, but I think it was the right one.

Doc_Homegrow Because some stems starting to get purple I stopped watering her dayly, so her routs can start to get more O². I think this was a terrible idea, because her leafes start to look yellow. I don't think that she got a light-burn, because I reduced the DLI to 30. I also didn't feed her with fertulizer so I don't think that she got a nutrient burn. The buds wouldn't get any bigger and she doesn't develope any smell.

Doc_Homegrow I increased the fertilizer so that the still small flowers can continue to develop. Unfortunately I was only able to partially solve my problem with the yellow leaves. A few have recovered and turned green again, but new yellow leaves have also appeared in other places. Also, my exhaust fan broke and is now making very loud noises. I have ordered a new one, but it will take a while before it is delivered.

Doc_Homegrow I put her on a box and put my lamp higher, so that she still gets around 40 DLI and that on the ground is a level of round about 15 DLI. I did this, so that I can use the tent for the first weeks of Veg. from my NL outdoor grow. I increased the amound of fertulizer and the yellow leafes are completly disappeared. Also the buds are growing much bigger. I am very happy with her right now.

Doc_Homegrow The buds are getting really leafy and big! I don't know if that much new little green leafes in flowering are a good sign, but I am happy as long as she is growing bigger. I am going to increase the amound of top max this week.

Doc_Homegrow I removed all of the LST strings, to let her grow more freely in her last week. She looks amazing and i am very happy with my first grow. I will harvest her next week or the end of the week. I won't do flushing, because I only use organic fertilizer and want her to grow till her last day. Some crazy Things are happening right now. She ist growing new buds on her buds! I decided to give her another extra week, just to see how this experiment will turn out.

Doc_Homegrow I harvest her today and got 396,39g wet flower! I am super happy with my first grow! The LST and topping was a wonderful combination. I couldn't weight all together, because I didn't have a big enough bowl to fit all. Update: I got 88,02g weed after drying. Update: After trimming I got 61,39g left. With the 26,63g Trim i am going to make ice Hash.

@Qutro, Thank you very much mate! I tried my best to trainer her :)

Beautiful grow! I’ve grown a couple years before but have limited space so am trying this year LST method. How did you get your plant so perfectly flat to perfection?
Doc_Homegrow
Doc_Homegrow commented1y ago
@Friesian, Thank you :) I have looked every day after her. If there was a new branch, which hasn't got tied down, I put a new string around it. I adjusted the strings every couple of days and let her slowly adjust to the tension. I bend the branches in every direction, so that they have enough space to grow long and don't need to grow in hight, because they touch another branch. I used some "earth anchor"/tent pegs (sorry don't know how to translate it), some smooth garden wire and hemp string. If you trade her with care and love, nothing can get wrong :) Good luck and have fun while growing :)
the end.
