This is my second grow, the last one was a total success, minus fighting root rot. I used an 02 Grow electrolysis emitter instead of an airstone and it really did a great job. I Actually feel like without it, my plant would have probably died. In the end my roots were healthy, but I wanted to get something that could kill the root rot entirely for the next grow. I've heard voodoo juice does a great job, so I'm hoping it can keep my roots healthy.
I'm posting this at the start of week one, these three little jacks popped out 2 days ago. everything is looking dandy. I'm just hoping for the best. I'm going to have one plant only using the 02 grow and the other two are going to have a regular airstone setup. But I'm thinking of giving them boosts of 02 with the emitter when I can.
Okay , so just re-nuted last night ,and saw some roots finally after checking every day. I love it when you start to see them coming out of the net pot. Also gonna start using terpinator for rest of the grow, I want some extra tasty stuff this time. The two airstones are working great, I’m starting to think that the 02 grow Is just a hyped product, but only time will tell, maybe the one hooked up to 02 grow was just a weaker seed, I don’t know. Other than that though, everything is still looking pretty good
Okay , so now it’s week three, I got some pretty nice roots so far on the two airstones. The O2 grow one looks tiny, she was looking really bad two days ago, but I gave her 12 hrs of darkness alone and she looked much happier the next day. Gonna keep it on hydroguard for the rest of the grow just as some insurance.
Had to terminate the little one. Had some ugly root stuff forming on both of them, attacked it with the hydroguard and they started looking better immediately, had kind of a late feeding though .
Super happy , look at the roots! Hydroguard kicks ass , and if you don’t have a cooling unit, toss a frozen water bottle in every once in a while, your roots love it !
Things still look like really good , haven’t had any issues so far, trimmed about half the fan leaves off of both plants and they still look super thick.
Okay, so someone pointed out that I was posting that I was putting a 3x the nutrients, totally wasn’t doing that, I just hadn’t fixed it and being the lazy guy I am , I just chose to post my total amount of nutrients already calculated x3 ( I’m consistently using 3 gallons of water). but now my numbers on this site from this point on are going to be accurate. Once again, haven’t changed the amount of nutrients I’m using, just now posting it the way it should be .
Other than that, these babies are flowering, and are looking nice, smelling nice (lemonene), also did a little conservative trimming to expose the flowers more. I just can’t make myself strip my plants down as much as you guys, I feel like I’d be hurting my girls , lol.
Just noticed that my grow light is broken, don’t know how long that’s been that way, so that kinda sucks, but luckily I’ll be getting a mars hydro led light comprable to the one I had , but hopefully much better with more longevity. Both the girls are looking fine, however, one seems to be flowing harder than the other, probably has something to do with the light. When I get that replaced this Sunday, everything will be a-ok, hopefully. Gonna extend flowering as long as I can.
Roots looking great, leaves looking great, buds forming and smelling great. The temperature here has dropped in the last couple of weeks and it’s been really beneficial to the roots. I don’t always check temps, the hand test works fine , and my water is usally freezing to the touch. The smell is actually really fruity, and that has to be the terpinator. I’m loving it. Still waiting for that Jack smell though. The other plant hasn’t really started to boom so I’m keeping it on a different schedule.
So, some phosphate deficiencies most definitely, I thought that the strain may just have purple stems, I mean , if you look at the same strain from greenhouse seeds , it looks very similar to mine. I’m adding liquid koolbloom to help things out a little, well see. I hate that I didn’t catch it earlier, I am still learning though. The roots are still white as can be , and it smells amazing. Like a fruity peppery garden. Oh yeah, the crafty was my b-day gift to myself , just thought I’d throw that one in there for whatever, it’s an amazing unit btw, and I can’t wait to use it on my Jack Herer!!
Sloowwwww , it feels like. The other plant still looks about 2 weeks behind , so I may chop the frosty looking one down sooner than anticipated. Both look great, however I really believe that the one that’s in the furthest flowering stage is a different strain altogether. One smells like delicious tropical fruit, and the other smells like coffee , or Honestly dog sh**. But a good dog sh** if you know what I mean. The point is, they smell completely different. Definitely both sativa, but I’m not sure it’s the same strain, only time will tell. I’m starting to get anxious.
Smells very strong. Up close, still clear trichromes. Waiting for them to become foggy, and a little Amber. Also waiting for the hairs to curl in . Still have some time left for sure. The terpinator is really proving itself.
A little late to post .Harvested and currently curing one of them , the other , I’m keeping on the same feeding schedule. I made some Bubble hash from wet trim and small buds, it was really good, not being bias. Actually a really uplifting/energetic high. It’s gone now but it sure was great. The cure is going well also. The other plant is going pretty good.
@Bongpyro420, smells like woody and pine and anise little bit. When she is starts budding she create less smell. She was more smelling while starts in flowerring week. And i dont even understand ☺️
Nice looking roots! You nutrients say 7.5ml/gal for your hydroguard this is 3x the suggested 2ml per gallon is this intended and do you ever see nutrient lockout?
@Bongpyro420, That makes it all clear now haha!! Yeah hydroguard is amazing stuff really. No worries I do 2ml/gallon unless it gets really hot and the reservoir temps start going up to much then ill add a little extra.
@HighTV, you’re absolutely right, according to my info it says that I’m putting in 3x the dosage of everything, lol. I kinda screwed up doing my entire journal from the beginning, and I’m really lazy , so I decided to personally ignore the “per gallon” and I’m just putting in the total ml of each nutrient. but what you see is I’m using 7.5 ml of hydroguard in 3 gallons total, I’ve been consistently staring each week with three gallons of water. I’ll eventually update my info here so it’s actually accurate, sorry for the mistake, please don’t put in 3x the dosage lol. I do add a little extra hydroguard , but we’re talking like a ml, and personally I feel like the extra ML helps , but that’s just me, I have had pretty ugly root rot , so I praise this stuff
Terpinator is an additive that I will use every run from week 1 Veg all the way through flush. I left it out of my recipe last round and it made a significant difference in the final bud quality and smell. Really magnifies the wonderful aromas and oil production in the plants...
