Exciting genetics from Mohawk Meds. Banana Flambe! 😱 Spawn of Banana Cream Sundae x It's Fire. Estimated 50% Sativa/50% Indica. Placed 5 seeds in 1% Peroxide & Mineral Water and covered for darkness. Growth Plan: Cull Males, Veg Strongest plant 6 Wks, the rest 3 Wks. start in Clone Cup for 2 Wks, up pot to 1 Gal for 3 Wks, up pot again to custom 2 Gal just before Flower flip. TOP, LST & SCROG training techniques. Medium starts with basic seedling soil with Mycorrhizae additive, perlite, and dampened with Wollastonite Mineral (Silica/Calcium). Then a series of up potting with 50% Sohum Living soil for Cannabis and 50% Purple Cow Indicanja. I'll be using Mineral Water ph 6.0 administered slowly to run off, then wait for slight droop of the plant, then water to run off again. No Fertilizers will be used unless absolutely necessary. I will use compost teas during flowering Stretch Wks 2-5 once a week. Ripening to 15-20% Amber trichomes. Environment will be a consistent 70-80F, 50-60% RH, 500-700ppm CO2, Lighting will vary (seedling 150-350ppfd, Veg 400-900ppfd, Flower 1300-1500ppfd) all maintained in a closed loop ventilation system. Thanks for stopping by and checking out the grow. Excited to try out this Genetic.

Mohawk Meds: Banana Flambe (BF): 100% germination rate on all 5 seeds by day 5. 4 of them popped by day 3. What's funny is the hold out popped on day 5 but only took 1 day to break soil. 3 total have broken soil. As per the growth plan they were planted in a clear clone cup and a red cover cup. Drilled holes throughout the clear cups for aeration/drainage. The clear cups allow me to see and take pictures of root growth progression without disturbing them. Red cup is to keep the light out and catch water runoff. Each day they get a quick spritzx2 and under 150-180ppfd 18/6hr lighting. Environment has been consistent 74F, 60% RH (Domed 80%) & Ambient CO2 (550-700ppm). As always appreciate the views, likes, emoji, and comments.💪

Mohawk Meds: Banana Flambe (BF): Realized 2nd Week of germination the lighting was 12/12. Explains the slow start. Now its corrected and started to grow like they should. BF #4 was having some problems breaking soil. I had to dig it completely out and it was curly Qued, growing deeper into the soil the wrong way. I probably planted tap root up. I dug it out and corrected its growth direction. Its cotyledons were present just underground. Unfortunately, between miss planting, 12/12, and digging it up BF #4 did not make it. 😞 They have had spritz of 6.0ph waterx2 each day. Will start to bottom water to get those roots to stretch. Environment is consistent 79F, 60%RH, 320-390ppfd, & 650ppm CO2.

Mohawk Meds: Banana Flambe (BF): Day 21. 4 BF plants green and growing. Cut off a piece of leaf for gender testing. Should hear within 10 days results. Roots have reached bottom and looking healthy. I've been bottom watering them 6.0ph mineral water to get those roots to stretch along with a spritzx2. Environment: 76F, 55%RH, 650ppm CO2, 510-620ppfd all week. Increasing the lighting really helped them grow. Giving them another week in the cups before up potting to 1 Gal.

Mohawk Meds: Banana Flambe (BF): Week 4 (28 Days from seed) looking healthy and growing like triplets. Received results from Genetic gender testing and BF #1, #2, #3 are all Females, #5 Male and was culled. All were transplanted to 1-Gal Pots in Sohum Living soil for Cannabis with Wollastonite mineral (Silica/Cal) & Mycorrhizae fungi additive. Slightly light green from a bit of overwatering otherwise healthy. Environment: 78F, 52% RH, 600ppm CO2, & 750-850ppfd. 👌

@Mohawk Meds breeder: Banana Flambe (BF): Week 5 (35 Day from Seed), Growing well and green. BF #2 showing signs of over watering. Allowing it to completely dry out. Environment has been crazy fluctuations from outside weather: Temps 73-90F, RH 45-68%, CO2 500-875, & PPFD 750-850. Thanks for checking out the grow. 👌

Mohawk Meds: Banana Flambe (BF): Day 42, 7 Weeks from seed. Healthy & green. Battled some High temps this week. Built a DIY water cooling system in the duck work along with lowering power to the lights but moving them closer to maintain PPFD & created an intake of cooler air to my closed loop system. All these things brought temps back to low-mid 70's from low 90's I was having. Through the week BF never wilted from the heat but didn't grow as much as it should have. Weekly Environment: 85-91F, 48-54% RH, 750-850 PPFD, & 550-875 CO2. Also topped BF #2 & #3 on the 5th Node. Decided to keep #1 as a Mother.

Mohawk Meds: Banana Flambe (BF): Day 49 From Seed, 7th Week. All 3 are green and growing well. Topped BF #2 & #3. Took it easily with perhaps a half day of shock before picking up where it left off. Watered to run off all 3 this week and allowed to dry back. Foliage Spritz each day. Weekly Environment: 80F, 52% RH, 525-725PPM CO2, & 850-950 PPFD. 👌

@Mohawk Meds: Banana Flambe (BF): Day 56, 8th Wk from seed. Got a little nutrient burn from a Compost Tea I applied that was a little too hot. Didn’t penetrate too deeply into the plant just the first leaves which were removed. Up Potted to 2 Gal Roots looked healthy white. Took to the up potting well. All 3 plants have been topped in preparation of flowering. I'm keeping one in Veg a little longer to make a few solid clones while the other 2 move to flower in a few days. Weekly Environment: 78F, 58% RH, 700ppm CO2, & 650-850 PPFD. Received water 6.0ph to run off after up pot & a foliage spritz daily. Height: 8". 👌

Banana Flambe (BF): Breeder @Mohawk Meds: Day 63 from seed, 5th day of Flower for BF #2 & #3. All three plants are green, healthy and growing. BF #2 & #3 received some LST in the form of U-Peg Stakes to flatten out top branches parallel to the ground. Did the same to 2 more lower branches to widen its growth, while reducing its height. Being in a very short 3' Tent, height could be a limiting factor. Weekly Environment for PE #2 & #3: 79F, 53% RH, 870ppm CO2, & 1400 PPFD. PE #1's Environment: 74F, 59%, 870ppm CO2, & 850PPFD. PE #2 & #3 each was watered with 6.0ph Drip at 25 ml/hr for 4 days this week. BF #1 received daily Spritz's this week pot was heavy all week. 👌

Banana Flambe (BF): Breeder @Mohawk Meds: Day 70 from Seed. BF #1 has been growing but straight up. I need some side growth in order to create some clones. Performed HST (Super Cropping) to facilitate this growth. Otherwise still in Veg stage. Took to it well used the crush and twist method to super crop and didn't seem to skip a beat. New side & lower growth has begun. BF #2 & #3 are 11 Days into Flowering. Both are green, healthy, and growing. Only adjusted U-Peg stakes a bit and leaf tucked this week. All three barely got water due to thier 2 Gal pot/Medium is holding water well and keeping them happy. BF #2 & 3 Weekly Environment: 80F, 50% RH, 750ppm CO2, & 1400PPFD 12hr Lighting. BF #1 Weekly Environment: 73F, 51% RH, 750ppm CO2, & 850PPFD 18hr Lighting.

Banana Flambe (BF): Breeder @mohawk.meds: Day 84 From Seed, BF #1 (4 days Flower), BF #2 & #3 (26 days Flower). BF #1 up potted to 5 Gal & Flipped. BF #1 transplanted well but starting to show a slight Magnesium deficiency with Light green edges on older leaves. The up pot & an applied compost tea with an Cal/Mag booster should give it a renewed source of nutrients. BF #2 & #3 showing signs of venial yellowing. I believe this is a form of Nitrogen deficiency & applied a compost tea to correct this issue. I expected the possibilities of deficiencies as I was pushing the limits of soil nutrient availability. I found those limits and learned to apply TEA's/amendments a week or 2 sooner than anticipated. I don't use fertilizers unless I have to (don't want salt build up) & allow living soil to provide nutrients so I can just add water & teas. Keeps things simple. Weekly Environment: 85F, 45% RH, 725ppm CO2, 1200-1400PPFD 12hr Lighting. Height: 8-9" being controlled using U-Peg Stakes. Thanks for stopping by.

Banana Flambe (BF): Breeder @Mohawk Meds: All 3 Plants Day 91 From Seed, BF #1, 11 days in Flower, BF #2 & #3, 33 Days in Flower. BF #2 & #3 Still showing signs of Nitrogen and Magnesium defenciency. The Tea from last week helped but did not fully give what its needing for the Stretch. Unfortunately, I am playing catch up in soil which is a bad thing. Applied an amendment layer of soil and another TEA is planned with a Nitrogen/Magnesium focus using Cal/Mag (full dose), 25% coffee grounds, 70% Sohum Soil, & 5% worm castings. BF #1 is looking good. Having a 5 Gal pot for nutrients has made it happy. Adjusted BF #1 U-Pegs as its growing to flare it out. Weekly environment: 83F, 47% RH, 1000ppm CO2, & 1300-1400 PPFD 12hr Lighting. 1 Mineral Watering at 6.0ph to run off+TEA this week. Despite the deficiencies BF #2 & #3 are budding up nicely. Did some light defoliation of damaged leaves on BF #2 & #3. Wanted to stress them as little as possible.

Banana Flambe (BF): Breeder @Mohawk Meds: Day 98 from Seed. BF #2 & #3 40 Days Flowering. BF #1 18 Days Flowering. Not sure if BF #2 & #3 is starting to fade or deficiencies are still happening. There are purple edges but I'm not seeing necrosis & flowers are slightly stacking. This leads me to believe it's the Fade. I will continue to give tea and watch carefully. BF #1 is doing great. Green, healthy, & stretching. Adjusted U-Pegs to accommodate new growth to ensure even canopy & flaying open the interior of the plant. Also gave a soil amendment to stay ahead of nutrient availability along with a tea. Weekly Environment: 83F, 48% RH, 925ppm CO2, & 1200-1400 PPFD 12hr Lighting. Thanks for stopping by.

Banana Flambe (BF): Breeder @Mohawk Meds: Day 105 from seed, BF #2 & #3 47 days Flowering & BF #1 25 days Flowering. BF #1 is green, healthy, & numerous growing bud sites. BF #2 & #3 are stacking. There seems to be no more Yellowing from nitrogen deficiencies. No defoliation needed this week of damaged leaves. BF #2 & #3 are doing a really cool purpling of their leaves. Still hope its part of their fade. I'll know for sure in a few weeks when BF #1 catches up to their maturity. Weekly Environment: Height: controlled with U-Peg Stakes.

Banana Flambe (BF): Breeder @Mohawk Meds: BF #1 Day 112 from seed, 32 Flowering. Healthy, happy & budding up all over. Uniform Buds throughout plant. Starting a slight Fade & the purple leaves like BF #2 & #3 are starting to change color. BF #2 & #3 are in Dry Racks with no issues. Usually takes a month for the Dry process. I like to do it slow to preserve the Terps. Received 2 Teas this week (Coffee ground, Banana bits, Purple Cow Canna Soil, Worm Castings, CAL/Mag Boost). Weekly Environment: 79F, 51% RH, 975ppm CO2, & 1300-1500PPFD 12 hrs lighting. Height Controlled by U-Peg Stakes. Smells: Mostly Spicy, slightly Fruity.

Banana Flambe (BF): Breeder @Mohawk Meds: 119 Days from Seed, 39 Days in Flower. Fade is in full effect as the leaves are all turning purple like BF #2 & #3. Terps are kicking out some interesting smells of a hint of fruit, with moderate Spice. Buds are stacking up nicely & Trichomes continue to ripen. Trichome report: Milky 75%, Clear 15%, Amber 10%. Weekly Environment: 79F, 45% RH, 1050ppm CO2, & 1300 PPFD 12hr lighting. No more teas or water to allow the plant to fully move leaf resources into the buds. Expect to harvest in less than a week. Consistent with other plants at 6 Weeks flowering time. Very fast. Could go 7 weeks but I like my Amber at about 20%.

Banana Flambe (BF): Breeder @Mohawk Meds: Day 133 from seed, 53 Flowering. Fade is in full effect. Nice purple leaves. Today is Harvest day. I've been watching closely every 3 days checking Trichomes to reach a 15-20% Amber on the buds. After 2 weeks of monitoring, I believe it is there. BF #1 has only been getting a little bit of water, no teas this week. Weekly Environment: 74F, 58% RH, 1000ppm CO2, & 1050 PPFD 12hr Lighting. Smells of turpentine & spice with a hint of fruit. BF #1 Wet Weight: 2.67oz/74.76g. Estimated Dry weight: .8oz/22.8g Nice dense buds. Placing them in my dry rack chamber that keeps things 60-73F, 50-60% RH. BF #2 & #3 finished drying. Dry weight trimmed: BF#2, .15oz/4.2g & BF#3, .14oz/3.92g. During the trimming process a few seed shells were observed. I only found 1 actual seed the rest were empty shells. On to the cure process. I'll use moisture packs in sealed jars. Airing them out daily for 15 min for the next 2 weeks. Then airing them out every other day for 2 more weeks. Then it's ready. This concludes Testing Banana Flambe. I want to thank Mohawk Meds for giving me the opportunity to grow their genetics. The strain was tough and made it through my Newb mistakes (I mean stresses). I will not be able to do a smoke report until I retire from work in a few months. I will update in a Dec/Jan time frame.
