Hello everyone,
Excited to kick off my grow diary with the Frisian Dew from Dutch Passion.
It's day one, and I've planted my seeds about 2 cm deep—a method that's worked well for me in the past. I keep on fillling the remaining space with soil as soon as plant grows. I was pleasantly surprised to see seeds germinating just a day using this method (4/4 times)! I've got a good feeling about this strain; it's reputed to be all-weather and mold-resistant, perfect for the early start I've planned.
Looking forward to sharing this journey and picking up some wisdom along the way as I dive into growing my first Frisian Dew. Most probably will keep this one in 3 gallon air pot for 15-18 weeks, I have planted 2 of them simultaneously so will keep the better genetics one in 7 gallon pot as mother female throughout summer.
Let the adventure begin!
@birdmountain, It looks like we're both going with Euforia too.
Germination tray idea was helpful from your diary IDK how I missed it; better than managing small cups.
Happy growing and keep sharing your progress too. 🌱✌️
@Ivatt90, Hey! I simply took a small node that seemed big enough and placed it in small cups. All you need to do is water them every day and avoid trimming the branches too short. From what I've seen in YouTube videos, a slight trim is important but otherwise, they do quite well just leave them on their own for 3 weeks or so.
Out of seven, six survived and I repotted three of them today. The root system they developed was incredible. I'll definitely share pictures of the other three next week. To be honest, I experimented with basil and mint using the same methods, and they were fast and robust. Don't worry, you can go ahead after week 4 but make sure to check out some YouTube videos first.
