Everyone was moved outside at the end of the first week. We are getting into the low 40's at night but no freezing weather in the forecast for this week. I fed a little N, P, and iron, on day 2, as I believe the recycled soil has plenty of K in it. After getting the booster feed I realized the soil is depleted of nutrient. Day 3 I added 10ml of blood meal (12-0-0)and 15ml of coop poop(2-4-3) in a circle around the outer 3" of soil surface. Plants are about 5" wide and pots are 15" diameter. They should be tapping into the nutes beginning day 5 sometime. It rained all day on day 3 and most of the night before. You can see on Day 6 where the roots tapped into the blood meal and coop poop ring. The week finished off very nice with 80° F high temps. Day 7, and I'm still not getting enough green to these. I'm mixing 20ml Agrothrive General Purpose, 15ml Molasses, 5ml Ultra Bio, and 35ml Liquid Fish to 5 gallons of water. Feeding this mix on Day 7 this week.
We had a good slow rain we we early morning Day 1. Plants just aren't getting the deep green I expect. Day one I'm mixing 20ml Coop Poop, 20ml Jobe's Annuals and Perennials, and 15ml blood meal in a container. These are all dry fertilizers so I'm shaking them in a container to have them mixed evenly. That mix was spread evenly across top of pots as a top dressing on day 2. Dry fertilizers listed in nutrients are applied at ml/gallon of soil. I swapped plant 4 for plant 1.
Night 3 and day 4 we had heavy rain and thunderstorms. We had rain on day and night 6 and day 7. They seem to like the rain. Their leaves are starting to show the sativa look. Plants fed all week on the fertilizer I top dressed with earlier.
The warm weather really perked these up. They've finally gotten big enough to handle the excessive phosphorus from the coop poop.I added Diamond Brand Ferrous Sulfate at the above listed rate of 2.5 ml/gallon of soil in day 6. I distributed these granules evenly across the top of the soil. Using 7.6 pH well water creates challenges in keeping iron and phosphorus available to the plants. Adding this amendment acidifies the soil and provides a readily available and lasting iron supplement during veg.
We started off this week with heavy rain and thunderstorms in the a.m. of day 1. More rain and thunderstorms morning 2. On day 2 the ferrous sulfate started kicking in. Day 3 and 4 we had sunshine and a nice breeze. Day 4 I added a second 2.5 ml per gallon of soil dose of ferrous sulfate and 1.3ml blood meal per gallon of soil top dressing. Day 5 and 6 we had more perfect weather and I had to water.
Day 7 we had rain showers in the morning and throughout the day. #2 showed sex as female.
Day 1 we had morning rain, drizzle and showers in the afternoon. I added 15ml of Ferrous Sulfate to each pot. The pH is still running slightly above 7 on day 1.
Day 2 we had intermittent rain, drizzle, and mist throughout the day. I added 15ml of blood meal top dressed for each plant.
Day 3 we had all morning rain. These girls can't get enough iron.
Day 4 we missed the scattered showers but it was 80-90% humidity all day. We had lots of sunshine but the soil didn't dry out.
Day 5 we had lots of sunshine and temperatures above 80°F. I added only the female photos to the diary today. The pots finally dried out a little and wow have they greened up.
Day 6 we had lots of sunshine and mid 80'sF temps. The equatorial side of these girls is loving it.
Day 7 we had rain then sunshine.
Day 1 we had rain in the morning, sunshine in the afternoon, followed by rain and severe thunderstorms that night.
Day 2 we had rain in the morning followed by rain and thunderstorms intermittently into the night.
Day 3
Day 4
Day 5 we had rain and thunderstorms through the previous night and into the morning. We had sunshine, clear skies, and temperatures in the upper 70's. That was followed by severe thunderstorms, rain, and a touch of hail from 4p.m. to 6p.m.
Day 6 we had lots of clear skies and sunshine. Temperatures were in the mid 70's
Day 7 we had lots of sunshine and clear skies. Highs in the upper 70's and 49% humidity. We needed the dryness. 🙏
These girls are really getting some height. They are in flower. It's something about crossing with an auto and planting early. They get to a certain height and flower, regardless of daylight length. They are really loud and skunky already. It's rained almost every day this week. These girls are loving it. They all showed, except one. It's the auto flower. The landrace side is keeping them from going full flower. They've all made their two hair identifiers, but haven't progressed past that. They've just been veging. No complaints from me as I know the sex. I've taken clones and I'm watching them grow.
These girls are sexed but it's as if the flower stage is dormant. They are continuing to veg and really maxing out these 7 gallon pots. I believe they'll start to flower proper on e we past the solstice.
I've missed several weeks on this diary. The plants showed sex weeks ago but until the summer solstice passed they weren't progressing just veging. Once we got past that they starting progressing in flower. The #2 plant is flowering pretty fast. The others started flowering later. The weather has been humid, rainy, cloudy, with tons of dew in the morning. The nights have been cool but these girls are still going strong with no issue. I had one male and will be pollinating by best females here. #2 is definitely getting pollinated.
These are coming along really well this #2 is fast for a landrace cross. She's frosting up nicely now.
The above listed nutrients are ml per gallon of soil top dressed.
Day 3 we had a high temperature of 95 and partly cloudy skies. I watered three times about 2 gallons each time with well water.
Day 4 we had a high temperature of 91°F with partly cloudy skies. I watered twice today 1-2 gallons each pot, each time.
Day 5 high of 93 with lots of sunshine. I'm watering til soaked twice a day. I added 15ml of soluble kelp to #2.
Day 7 we had a high temperature of 95°F. It felt like 97°, with clear sunny skies. I watered twice today.
The listed nutrients are ml per gallon of soil top dressed.
Day 1 It's hot this week. Our highs have been mid 90°s. These girls are loving it but super thirsty.
Day 2 we had a high temperature of 81°F. It's cooled off dramatically with some fall colors appearing in the tree leaves. It's super dry rn.
Day 3 we had a high temperature of 83°F.
Day 4 we had a high temperature of 79°F
Day 5 high temperature of 81°
Day 7 we had a high temperature of 90°F. Skies were sunny and I watered 2 gallons per pot once.
The listed nutrients are ml per gallon of soil top dressed. This week is a little warmer. Last week was brutal for cannabis cool and raining everyday for 5 days straight. These girls handled it no problem. #2 even being in mid flower had zero issues with boytritis or powdery mildew. These are truly reliable.
Day 1 we had a high temperature of 90°F. Skies were sunny and it wasn't as humid as it's been. I watered about 5 gallons per pot ,once, from the well.
Day 2 we had a high temperature of 83°
Day 3 we had a high temperature of 77°, clear sunny skies, and humidity at 66%. This weather is very fall like and the plants are loving it. We've got rain in the weekend forecast though. I hope we miss it.
Day 4 we had thunderstorms, heavy wind and rains most of the day. It's crazy how much these bent but didn't break. No boytritis !!
Day 5 they straightened back up and are looking great.
Day 6 we had a high temperature of 94°F. The girls were thirsty. I watered about 6 gallons per pot. I really wet them and the ground under the pots. They're feeding on the runoff in the soil as they've rooted through the pots.
Day 7 was hot. High was 94 felt like 102. I watered 3 gallons per pot twice.
Day 1 we had a high temperature of 90°F. Skies were partly cloudy. I watered about 2 gallons each pot.
Day 5 we had a high temperature of 74°F. These are spread out. That #2 is on the downhill side of flower while the #3 are just getting started. Some of these are strong pine and some are sweet. I watered about 3 gallons each pot today.
