123m123m My first grow EVER! Will start Indoor and move to Outdoor (balcony) as soon as the weather/temperatures allow. After 5 days finally germinated. Will start in this 1 Liter pot and move to a bigger one (10 Liter Airport superroot) soon. At the moment only using sunlight as I have not yet received the small lamp I've ordered.

123m123m Growing was pretty slow at the beginning as it took her some time to get rid of the shell of the seed. Now its speeding up. My grow lamp arrived and the plant moved to another room with the lamp installed in a distance of 25 cm. Lamp is very cheap, its rated 50W but acutal measurement says 20W. Well I guess better than no lamp :) Schedule is 15 hours with light and 9 hours darkness.

123m123m Great increase this week. Some algae but thats normally not a big problem and I will work on a better watering schedule to avoid it in the future. Very bad weather at the moment in Germany so I'm really happy about the small grow light.

123m123m Between week 3 and 4 the plant moved from the 1 Liter pot to a 8 liter Airpot with BioBizz AllMix. After that she made some great progress. A lot of new leaves! Also - if you move really close to the plant - you can recognize a slight smell.

123m123m Again an unbelievable growth this week. At the end of the week I was out of town and the plant was at her own for 5 days. I underestimated the growth and it grew to high and touched the grow light. Some leaves gut burned but I think she will manage this. Also she is starting flowering at the top.

123m123m This week she became too big for my window. So I took her down to allow sufficient space between the lamp and the plant. She is now fully in flowering phase. I spotted some fungus gnats. Now I'm adding sticky yellow traps to at least catch them early. I hope they don't harm my roots.

123m123m Another week, and again she grew in height. With ~ 1 meter I think she will now stop growing vertical and focus on flowering. I will keep her indoor as the weather in Germany is still rainy. Maybe I'll keep her inside as long as the smell is no problem to avoid getting pests outside? But when it's warm and sunny outside I already move her outside during some days.

Grow Questions

123m123mstarted grow question 1y ago
I can see several small spiders (8mm) which got caught by my yellow sticky sheet. Is this critical? Do I need to do something about them? Plant currently is located indoor at the window Some leaves have brown ends but I thought this came from heat when they touched the window

Hi, Those poor spiders.. they are your friend and helper. It's not the spiders you need to worry about it's those little black flies on your sticker next to them. They lay eggs in your root system and the larva will eat it an grow and it is a never ending cycle. I usually use Neemoil and Potassium soap to get rid of them but you can't spray the flowers only the ground and this method is not recommended in flower. Hope this helps.

123m123m Jack stopped the vertical grow and is now focusing at the flowers only. I removed some old leaves at the bottom and also some very small flowers (low stress lollipopping) Unfortunately bad weather at the moment so the plant stays inside below the (cheap/weak) grow light and next to the window. Although I wanted to do a minimal effort/cost growth, I bought a bottle of BioBizz Bloom to support the flowering. Trichonomes are clear so still some weeks to go.

123m123m After the shitty weather plant got two sunny days at the balcony. Weather next week will be shitty again. I will leave the plant inside as long as it's constantly raining to avoid mold. Trichonomes still clear, so still 2-3 weeks to go I guess.

123m123m I've had a look at the trichonomes and I would say that we are really close to harvest time now. Looks like some trichonomes already getting a little bit brown. What do you think? I will check daily and most probably harvest in 5-7 days. Weather still not the best and cold at night (10°C) So plant sleeps inside and sometimes she is outside during the day. I stopped feeding her nutrients to prepare for harvest now.

123m123m Harvested half of the plant and got 15g wet. Will continue the growth until trichonomes become more brown (20%) so approx 1 week to go for the other half of the plant. Stopped nutrition and feed her only with clean water from now on. Not sure how to properly document this partly-harvesting here.

123m123m 10 days after the first half of harvesting the trichonomes are now a little bit browner. Will harvest the second part in 1-2 days. Leaves already turn yellow so that's another sign that the growth finally comes to an end. Looking forward to the second harvest as the first one might have been to early but the result tasted pretty good already.

Happy Harvest Day!

Jack was easy to grow, no problems and harvest was ok for the small effort growing and bad conditions (only cheap 25W lamp and mostly inside because of the bad weather). I harvested in two steps in a distance of roughly 10 days. First the top and then the rest of the plant. Total: ~ 38g which resulted in ~ 13g dry 1st harvest: Early harvest. But only half of the plant! Rest will still continue growing. Trichonomes not brown yet. I wanted to try that's why I partly harvested. ~ 15g which resulted in ~ 5g dry 2nd harvest: 10 days after the first one I harvested the rest of the plant which has actually improved quite a bit in the 10 days. ~ 23g which resulted in ~ 8g dry

@CuriosityWebster, thanks for the hint :) My plan is to move to BioBizz AllMix as soon as my new airpot arrives.
