week 5, this is a few days after topping using the "FIM" technique. I suppose if u mess up "FIM" it's just regular topping and who really cares there's more tops.
starting to get some odor from the buds, honestly can't put my finger on it. not fruity, not citrus, not pine. I was getting cream soda in weeks prior but now it's kinda like cream soda and funky piss. trichome development starting but it's slow going there. I've got the trellis up as well but don't feel like it's helping much especially with these girls being so squatty and bush like.
slow going here. smell picking up a bit. I still can't believe how short these plants are. lots of leaf in the colas. hopefully we start to pick up resin production and fatten up over the next month.
The "good" one has uniform buds and generally doing way better than the other at this point. unfortunately the good one threw a few nanners,so I plucked them off and remain on the lookout for any more that might develop. trichome development well under way and they are sticky. Smell is getting stronger and it is funky as hell. Supposedly these go 83-90 days per the breeder (the nature farmer) so at least a month out. the waiting is the hardest part.
all the close ups are of the good plant. Smell is sweet and has an underlying aroma of rootbeer/cream soda... maybe. I'm struggling to describe it and I'm definitely biased based on what the breeders description was. not fruity, not citrus, not pine, not floral. Smells like it's gonna get me really, really high.
Trichomes still mostly clear, smell hasn't changed much. some leaf tips in the top buds are turning light green /yellow - the lights are at about 75% and I'm def not overfeeding.
They are filling out, slowly - ive read hazes can be lazy when flowering. Not sure why we're yellowing on some top sugar leaves, doesn't appear to be hurting things otherwise so party on. Definitely getting root beer smell on sticky fingers and that is a welcome change from everything else I've grown.
