Decided last minute to start a journal of my mini pheno hunt. I popped 4 regular jmo beans by in-house genetics. All 4 popped no prob.
I just flipped the switch on them 9 days ago. Surprisingly they are all females. Follow along to see if we can find a keeper
Back left plant is a bit lighter compared to the others. Gonna continue defoiling n chopping sucker buds for the rest of this week n probably leave em alone after week 3 commences.
Pheno number 3 looks like it’s gonna b the frostiest so far, it’s the shortest buds seem to b a bit bigger on her as well. Not a lot of difference on 1 2 and 4 yet but we will see how things develop.
Had a slight salt build up flushed the girls w drip clean and adjusted the nutes to 700ppm. Run off was around 1800ppm got it down to 850. So far phenos 3 and 4 seem to be the chunkiest though 1 and 2 are stacking pretty nice. Definitely getting a slightly garlicky gassy smell hoping one leans for towards gmo n less fruity/jelly.
So far so good, starting to get a nice smell comin from the tent. Pheno 3 is still the frostiest n chunkiest but very leafy. Number one has the least frost but the colas are stacking nice. I think number 4 is starting to look the best buds are catching up to number 3 but not as leafy/ gonna b easier to trim
Gettin a lot of rain this week struggling w humidity when lights go out. Everything is still chugging along buds starting to swell a bit more feel nice and dense.
Was tryin to mitigate stretch with 3 gallon pots, next time I’ll jump up to 5 gallons at least. Buds feel nice n dense just not getting very big. Hoping to finish these ladies in the next cpl of weeks, smell is a funky slightly sweet smell. On looks n structure alone got my eye on number 2 nice strong foundation holding up the flowers just fine w no supports n looks like an easy trim.
Had to stake 1 3 and ,4 pheno 2 is holding up w 0 support, nice dense flowers on all 4. Definitely seeing the jelly breath come through on all 4. My frostiest plant number 3 has got a spider mite infestation, been pulling off leafs n killing everyone I see. So far I’ve been keeping em at bay no webs have formed. Prob gonna end up chopping a little earlier than I want but gonna try n push em to 9 weeks if the infestation doesn’t get worst.
Had to isolate number 3 outside earlier this week. The mites started progressing on the other 3 as well gonna go ahead and chop first thing tomorow am before it gets any worst.. them lil bastards sure do take the wind outta your sails.. once everything is dried gonna b going scorched earth on their ass. Luckily it never got bad enough to web up any colas but I’m not taking any more chances after this little learning experience and will b running some preventatives in any future grows
Slight change of plans, goin hand to hand combat! gonna try n battle em out to week 10. Did cut a lower branch last week n aside from the torn up leafs on number 3 that thing is potent. The wife an I could only get through half a lil J.
Chopped everything at 10 weeks, pheno 1 def could’ve gone a bit longer but the mites kept persisting. Wrapped some duct tape at the base of each plant to catch any rogues trying to ascend to my lights. Def gonna spread some democracy on them bastards once I get everything dried into buckets. My veg tent is a little close for comfort and got some new breeder/genetics I wanna try out.
