A simple organic natural experiment. First-time grower, together with two other strains. I have some experience with gardening and I will grow this like a tomato. I will try to use only Soil, Pumice for drainage, Chicken Manure Pellets and water. Soils: COMPO Grow Light Mix Soil. BioBizz All-Mix Balcony growth in Germany at latitude 50° N, assisted with a SANSI 36W LED Full spectrum bulb till 15. May. Then it's getting 26.5 l (7-gallon) fabric bags. Germination: Paper towel on 24. March in a closed zip bag Left for 4 days in there without oxygen, no signs of sprouting. Luckily it survived in the soil. Seedling appeared a week later, on 1. April, which I will count as Week 0. Only Light-Mix Soil for the first 5 weeks.

Is a branch growing from one of the Cotyledons (first leafs), should I removed it for symmetry?

Yes, remove that weird branch. In my experience, any branches growing from there never amount to anything. Removal will not harm the plant in any way. Symmetry really does not matter, some plants grow with missing branches/nodes, or even extra branches/nodes. BTW, cotyledons are not leaves, the first true leaf is the first serrated leaf, usually single bladed, but at times, with three or two blades.

18 days from seedling. Dark and a bit rumpled/twisted leaves. Branches are coming out but they don't have much space to breathe from the big leaves. Started topping with some chicken manure pellets, too much nitrogen? Also, the 36W LED lamp is only 20 cm away.

I think the manure was too much. Definitely too much nitrogen as the leaves are shiny and very green. You wouldn’t think a lower wattage light could be too much and it’s not really BUT it’s keeping the plant very short and node spacing too tight because it’s too content and not moving up for light. I’d transplant it to new pot (bigger) lay off nitrogen and move that light up some. Good luck

The plant has 4 weeks from seedling 🌱 and it's already blooming. Why so early? Could it be nitrogen toxicity? What would you do increase the yield? I won't trash her, since the yield is not the primary goal.

It is very common for Autoflowers to go into flowering on day 28 (4th week). Some even flower on week 3. Genetics and pot/container size are the two biggest factors. Your plants do seem to have a lot of Nitrogen, however looks mean nothing. Unless you get it tested, you, myself, or anyone else will not know for certain. Regardless, your plant is flowering so you should cut back on Nitrogen and bump up the P and K (Phosphorus and Potassium). Here is what you can do to increase the yield: Absolutely nothing. I can however save you from lowering your yield. DO NOT defoliate any branches or buds. Also, May I recommend Youtube and searching either Harley Smith or Dr. Bruce Bugbee. There's a BUNCH of "bro-science" out there. Experiment around...sure. But at least try and get on the train tracks facing the right direction.

Hi, what a beautiful plant you've got. I'm growing my first auto duck right now too, it's now going on it's second week and I'm keeping it indoors. I was wondering how strong it smells to you now?

@atout, The thing is, I'm not sure how strong a plant is supposed to smell. But I was already surprised by the light smell it had already at week 2. Now I get constant waves of odour, but I can't tell exactly which plants smell the strongest (I got 3 of them next to my desk). Good luck with your growth.
