Soaked the seeds for about 30 hours in a warm dark location. All three cracked nicely and I planted them directly into the soil. Tent temperature set to between 78 and 80. Humidity was about 75%. All three broke the surface on the same day and I dialed the lights back to make sure they were getting around 15 DLI.
Seedlings came out of germination looking strong and vigorous.
All three seeds broke on April 4th. The first week was successful, with the development of initial leaves. The center plant, which is receiving the highest light amount, is noticeably squatter than the other two. DLI sat around 12-16.
Loads of growth in the last 7 days. With the first week of vegetation coming to a close, I am super impressed with the vigour of this strain. I bumped the DLI up to 22 ish on the last day of veg week 1. That ought to get me through weeks 2 and 3. So far I am impressed with these plants!
At the end of week 3, the plants look pretty good and are on track or a bit better than previous grows. Going to do a very light feed on the next watering. The center plant is substantially squatter than the other two, and I am seeing two distinct phenotypes I think. Will be interesting to see what they look like next week.
An explosion of growth in the last week! We're definitiely stretching now, although some of the new growth is looking really curled - I put a hefty dose of Ocean Forest at the bottom of the pot with the thought that the plant could use a hit of nutrients later in veg, but I wonder if it was too much? I'll keep an eye on it - it will likely sort itself out as the plants finish pre-flower stretching in week 5.
Well, at day 35 the tent is officially overcrowded. Two leaf tucking and defol sessions haven't deterred these ladies from going beast mode. The NTox issue on one plant has cleared up, but the damage was done. Regardless, flower sites on that plant are plentiful and I expect her to go the distance. The plants are all showing signs of excess nitrogen, a result of the soil/coco/perlite ratio, which I will adjust again on the next grow.
The Migro 4 light is just a monster, kicking out a perfect 43 DLI at about 500 PPFD set to 80% power. I'm not sure I'll need to dial it to 100% at all.
At this point, the grow is mine to screw up. The plants looks great heading into the flowering stage. I just need to keep good airflow through this bananas successful jungle.
Week two of flowering comes to an end. They are really starting to drink now - watering every other day as they start packing on the buds. I trimmed up a bunch of larfy business this week and did a very light defoliation. Left hand plant is the leader in size and health. The right hand plant has recovered from the nitrogen toxicity, although the damage was done on a lot of the leaves. The middle plant lags behind by about a week - total runt of the litter, but looking very healthy regardless.
Looks like a nice coasting ride into mid-flower.
