The baby girls were put in a bowl lined with a moist paper towel and a second paper towel was placed on top. The bowl was left on top of a fridge that had a window giving it a moderate amount of light and warmth. The seeds grew very fast and after just 48 hours they were ready to be placed in pots for vegetation!!
They grew so FAST! It had rained a lot the day before and it was raining that day in the video as well. The wind kept the temperature pretty low and lukil they didn't need that much sunlight yet.
This week was a tough one because we were not prepared for the heat and lack of clouds/rain that we were going to get. After the rain from last week died down the plants had a chance to get some raw sunlight. This was great but the temperature of the greenhouse did soar and the 'windows' could only do so much. PLUS there was barely any wind. We had to leave the Ghouse door open during the day but at night when the temperature dropped we closed it. The girls were doing great and you could tell who really loved the nutrients and who didn't... I recommend leaving ghte nutrient until the plants have at least three sets of leaves each, not including the initial sunleaves that will eventually die.
What a week! the weather has not been very gracious to us. It has been pretty hot all day and humid at night. The majority of the day has the perfect setting but when the sun is at its peak it definitely puts a tool on the girlies. :'( We got a bigger fan to circulate air more but well have to see how that goes... Hoping for rain and some extra clouds soon!
Our prayers were answered! Honestly, I'm not sure how well the plants would have done if it hadn't rained during the week. We got enough rain to keep the temperature and humidity just where we needed it for most of the day. However, at night, it was a big hassle because water got inside the greenhouse, affecting the humidity big time. After that, it was super hot, so the water evaporated quickly.
Transferring the plants into bigger pots was pretty simple, but I definitely recommend the process for outdoor plants ONLY. This whole experience has been a learning process. We gave them nutrients a little too soon, but since we were able to catch it, we've only been giving them water and nutrients once a week moving forward. We've also been spraying them with neem oil since we don't know what could be festering in the greenhouse by now. Nevertheless, the plants are thriving and starting to grow more than just three leaves... hehe.
What a great week! We only gave them their nutrients once this week, and it seemed to be just enough for the girls. They're all fighters and are showing it every day. The greenhouse is starting to work in our favor during the day because when it was humid enough, the temperature was perfect. One of the girls, Osaka, started to grow rapidly, and we noticed that it may have been due to the fact that she was collecting the rainwater that had seeped inside the greenhouse. The rainwater had just the right pH to allow her to grow not only rapidly but beautifully. It was very unexpected at first, and now she's starting to look like our shining star. One of them, Ben, also looks like she's flowering a little, but we're not sure what to do since it's still a little early... Hoping for the best and, as always, hoping for rain!
Wow, what a great week for the plants! Despite some challenging weather conditions, they really thrived. We discovered that watering them more frequently helps them deal with the sun and dryness in the greenhouse, which is fantastic news.
We've also taken steps to control pests by using peppermint and more neem oil around the house, and we've improved the greenhouse's foundation. It feels great to see everything coming together!
While we're aiming for the best, we know there's still plenty to learn and do. Next week, we'll likely start implementing some new growth techniques now that the plants' stems are getting sturdier and more leaves are sprouting at the lower levels. It's exciting to see them progress through this vegetative stage!
One of the Sour Diesel was beginning to flower so we had to cut it off. She was putting all of her energy towards growing it and it was eventually going to kill her. RIP
Techniques acquired!! Guys... we really need some rain. The area were in is experiencing record high temperatures and its getting hotter and hotter everyday. :( Nevertheless the girls have prevailed and come out strong! A moment of silence please for ben, she will be missed.....
Now it's time for techniques. The LST is the main technique we are trying to go for and it seems to be working well for them. The HST was not intentional lol I just accidentally bent Osaka's stem and she started to flourish so I tried it on Prince and it seems to be working very well. Don't you just love how resilient plants are??
Were still keeping the watering to the same and the nutrient level did go up a little but only for the ones that are still standing...
Hello everyone! Sometimes it feels like you're doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results. It's interesting to see other diaries showing rapid progress at this point. We knew patience was key to achieving the best outcome, and by Week 8, I was quite tired. However, I believe everything happens for a reason. Our plants are incredibly strong, having endured extreme temperatures without a drop of rain, and the temperature keeps rising. This week's numbers might not be accurate due to a gap in our hydrometer, but we're proud to have made it this far. Every day is a pat on the back.
Still hot and dry :/ The weathers reporting rain soon and we are hoping to have some type oj auto watering system set up soon!! We also stared adding mroe nutrients in and they're really starting to flourish! YAY
Im proud of these girls! they've made it very far and look fantastic! We increased the nutrients and it got to the point where ewe had to water them almost everyday. The rain should be coming soon this week probably towards the end.
Our one and only queen OG Sour Diesel is flowering! The smell is intense—you can stand next to the tent and it's loud. We'll need some carbon filters for sure. It's been raining almost all day, every day this week, and while we're not sure how much water the plants have consumed, we know they're loving it!
