DG422 On April 8th, I threw the two seeds into the pot and was able to take advantage of the nice weather right away. After 6 days, the two look pretty good. I hope they keep growing just as fast, even though the weather is going to get worse tomorrow. At night, I always bring them inside and put them on the windowsill. So far no nutrients, but that will change next week.

DG422 The plants are now 13 days old. A bit too small in my opinion. Since Monday, they have been under a SanLight QW5 because the weather is very bad and there's hardly any sun. Also, the leaves of the second plant look very wrinkly. Let's see what the next few days bring. I'll keep you updated. Keep Growing!

DG422 So, the plants are 17 days old and I'm really very dissatisfied with the results. The plants look healthy, but they are way too small after such a long time. I've just drastically reduced the distance to the lamp. Maybe that will help. In the meantime, I've also repotted them into 11-liter fabric pots with the Allmix from Biobizz. Maybe that will do something. If anyone has any ideas to improve growth, feel free to write.

DG422 With the weather like this, the little ones have obviously grown well. Flower stigmas are already visible too. But it's going to be a very small harvest, for better or worse. It's a shame, really.

DG422 Germination was 37 days ago. In the meantime, I'm already happier with the height and size. A whole 80 cm. I'm also slowly starting with bloom fertilizer so that the yield will be bigger. Feel free to reach out with any questions or suggestions. I would also be happy if you checked out my other diary.

DG422 So Freunde. Tag 44.

DG422 Looks pretty good so far. The girl is now 55 days old and is blooming beautifully. Hopefully, I can snack on some of it soon. I'm fertilizing with 20 ml of CANNA Bloom in 5 liters of water and 10 ml of CANNA Boost in 5 liters.

DG422 Hey friends, from two northern lights, there is now one. I unfortunately had to cull the other plant due to a fungus gnat infestation. The second one, as you can see in the pictures, is very healthy and is now being sprayed daily with neem oil to combat those pests. I’d say just 2 more weeks and then it’s regular harvest time.

DG422 So, the 10th week is over and today was also harvest day. It was really intense. Last week I didn't fertilize anymore and just flushed the plant. A report on the harvest will follow as soon as everything is dry.

DG422 The yield is really good. It was just under 50 grams when dry. Tastes great too and hits hard in the head. Would love to do it again next year.

Use distilled water and get yourself a pH meter. Try watering the plant with pure water for the first 3 weeks. Autos are often sensitive when 1-2 parameters aren't right. But it'll definitely be okay! 🌹

@DRAGON4NoBuDdY20, isn't it outdoor anyway, is that still relevant? edit I checked that the plant was under a lamp for one week 3

So I'm currently running my first grow, but I've read a lot already. Just from gut feeling, I would say too much wood in the soil, which might make it too acidic and hard to root. Hence, less leaf growth. I wouldn't make a huge fuss about the pH right now though. That's fine-tuning. Then the second point: lamp and temperature. What kind of lamp is it and how much ppfd does it have? I have my auto running 24 hours at 100% with about 930 ppfd. According to some pro growers, that should be the maximum for what the plant can photosynthetically convert. As for temperature: temp is the factor. 24 for roots and 26/27 for the plant is probably the best. Also, a hybrid with a high indica content tends to grow more compact. So no

@Insertcoin, wherever you got your info from. But 24h * 930ppfd, with a DLI of 80, you're exactly 30 points over and just wasting LIGHT unless you have CO² supplementation. Dude, the limit is at DLI 45, whether it's auto or regular. That's why most people keep it around 700 PPFD with long light periods... except for the show-offs who think more is always better. Conclusion: you're wasting energy. And also, the roots don't work perfectly at 24, you can only say that 24 degrees Celsius is okay at room temperature because the soil is then around 22 degrees. Let's remember that without any medium, the roots are sprayed with nutrient solution at 19 degrees. And 27 degrees is only good depending on the strain; there are also some strains that find it really bad and just need it cooler. Plus, temperature doesn't mean anything if the corresponding humidity isn't there. And it's really bad when someone takes info that's already 10 years old, when autos work completely differently today. Back then, everyone would have said at least 27 degrees, otherwise it won't work. But that's ancient history and hasn't been true for a long time. Back then, autos were just inferior.

Nice, I also started one. But the weather right now isn't really suitable... luckily you have a good lamp. Good luck moving forward!

Springtime commentedweek 62y ago
Wow, this one is almost twice as tall as mine! Looks great! How many hours of full sun does this sweetheart get?
DG422
DG422 commented2y ago
@Springtime, thanks! So from 9 AM to 12 PM it's always partially with a bit of shade, and then completely until the sun goes down.
Springtime
Springtime commented2y ago
@DG422, nice! That's at least twice as much as I have - and it also explains why it's twice as big.

Enjoy it. There's enough for another run with autos this summer if needed.😏😎

DG422 commented2y ago
@Stony_German, I still have plenty of weed growing here 😄
FraFra__frankenstoner_Two_days_in_a_day
No panic. It's about to start soon with the stronger growth. Bringing the lamp closer to the plant was definitely the right move. Still, a plant never grows like a spring devil, you need to have a bit of patience.

DG422 commented2y ago
@@FraFra__frankenstoner_Two days in a day, well in my last Hulkberry auto grow, I already had a real bush after 17 days. Unfortunately, I didn't know the distance to the lamp back then. I think that must have been the issue.

How much was it "wet"?
DG422
DG422 commented2y ago
@xhibo, I couldn't weigh it properly since I hung up the whole plant. But when dry, it's now 50 grams.

Very interesting, mine came out of the ground on April 12th, also outdoor, and look exactly the same in the 4th week. I guess the pretty cold weather in April was a problem. Thanks for the report!

Springtime commentedweek 42y ago
Mine are even smaller than yours, although they are probably the same age. From my perspective, that actually looks good. Good luck!

Looks good; the lady is stretching significantly again in the first two weeks of the flowering phase.
