Seed 1: 5h in pH6 water. Then planted in a jiffy.
Seed 2: Planted directly into the soil
The seeds broke the surface on 08/04 and 09/04. First pictures are from 10/04.
The fabric pots are prepared with a layer of perlite at the bottom.
Growbox size: 58x58x180
AKF: 300 m3/h
Ventilation: 145-170 m3/h
A clip fan is used to provide circulation.

Light intensity at the surface is ca. 300 umol/m2/s. Every 2 days I water a bigger amount when the soil feels dry. Water is pH and EC controlled. No nutes yet.
Light will be ramped up slowly over the coming days as the plant grows.
One of the plants was fed with nutrients (1ml/L Biobizz) at ca. EC 0.9. The other just with water.
Watering ca. every 2-3 days when the top 10 cm of soil feel dry.
Light intensity is 400 umol/m2/s.
The plants develop foliage nicely but height development is limited.
Plant 1: Still no nutrients. This plant seems to be doing better than the other.
Plant 2: Still on the low dose nutrient as last week (1ml/L biogrow).
Started some LST this week for a more even canopy. Plant 1 (back left) has already gained more height and has been bent several times by now.
Light intensity slightly increased to ca. 500 umol/m2/s.
Watering 3L once a week. Learned that I watered a bit too often in the previous weeks (though smaller amounts) - no big deal though I think as the plants are appearing healthy to me.
One plant started to flower, the other seems to be a bit behind in development. The one which is developing slower was the one that was germinated in a jiffy instead of the soil and which is receiving nutrients. It has a lower height and less developed buds. On the upside, it has ca. 10 headbuds instead of 6. I put it on a stand to have both plants receive the same amount of light.
Watering, nutrients, etc. same as last week.
Defoliated the plants a bit this week - mainly to avoid any chance of mold but also to direct nutrients to the upper part of the plant. Removed lower leaves and small buds which do not get any light anyways.
Watered with organic nutrients again this week (1 ml/L) but will water with water until deficiencies become apparent.
The plants are looking good and already are developing some nice buds. The plant back left is developing somewhat slower though.
Supplied the plants with just water this week. Looks like the defoliation has not damaged the plants but the buds have also not grown much the past few days - maybe they are recovering from the stress.
The plants look nice and healthy but they are not going to be monster plants.
I gave the plant which is ahead in development some low dose nutrients this week to try and prolong its flowering a bit. I also defoliated a little bit as the fan leaves were blocking light access to some of the buds. Not sure whether it was a mistake.. let’s see 😀
I increased the light intensity to ca 640 umol/m2/s and raised the lights a bit to provide more even light to the canopy.
The trichomes are already cloudy so I estimate that I can harvest in ca. 2 weeks. Hope the buds will still fatten up a bit.
Same conditions as last week. Both plants received only water. The harvest seems to come closer - the trichomes are all milky on one plant and almost on the other. Buds are also starting to swell.
Think I will harvest the riper plant in about a week when I see ca. 10% amber trichomes and the buds have swelled a bit more.
While the pistils are still partly white, the trichomes are mostly cloudy with some amber already appearing.
Since I am looking for a head high, I will harvest these plants in the coming week (18/06) before I am off for vacation until 23/06 even though they do not look 100% ripe. In the meantime the plants will have time to dry. 18/06 will be 74 days from seed.
Gave a few nutrients last week and today the last watering.
@Flicker420, The first plant gave me ca. 175g wet weight (fan leaves were removed before weighing) of which I estimate ca 50g are stems and sugar leaves. So maybe that plant will give me 30g dry 🙂
The other plant is a bit bigger, I will harvest it in three days
