- lights dimmed at 20%
- after a week roots start to grow out of the peat pot
- transfer to 500 mL pot in organic seedling soil with perlite
- removed from mini-greenhouse and put in open air
- lights dimmed at 60%
- plant deveoped lime green leaves with yellowing tips and some brown spots, very slow growth
- first suspected nutrient deficiency due to seedling soil, therefore fed half a dose nutrients at week 3
- after feeding did not help much, transplanted into final soil because my second plant from a different strain grew well in it
- then bought more accurate pH tests and think the water was the issue, now watering with properly pH-adjusted water
- growth seems to get somewhat faster
- new leaves are greener
- still watering with plain water as there should still be plenty of nutrients in the soil
- growth accelerated mid week, started feeding according to BioBizz schedule
- lowered pH in water to ~ 5.5, when measuring the runoff it is ~7
- PPFD at top of the plant is 300
-lights at 80% (300 PPFD at the top of the plant
-plant is growing bushy and horizontally, little growth vertically
- does not consume much water, watering roughly 0.5 L every week
- since the plant is healthy now, I decided to top it at the beginning of week 8
- also measured the PPFD and found that it is too low now (light too far away because this plant shares the tent with a much taller plant), therefore elevated the plant and increased the light to 100% -- PPFD is now 450 µmol/m2/s
- with this setting, plant is showing some signs of light stress at the end of the 18h light cycle
- some stalks are getting a pink color
- started with bloom nutrients (week 3 of BioBizz scheme)
- plant resumed growth after topping and side branches grow
- plant now consumes more water
- tucking fan leaves where possible to get more light on the side branches
- noticed first signs of P-deficiency (lower fan leaves get bronze matt surface, purple stalks). Since pH is monitored and the plant is fed with 80% of the Biobizz schedule, I think my hard water (440 ppm Calcium and Magnesiumcarbonate) takes away the phosphate. Will switch to use phosphoric acid as pH down instead of citric acid to precipitate some of the calcium before adding nutients as soon as possible, for now mixing tap water with destilled water 1:1
- as a first measure, watered with some added inorganic phosphate fertilizer
- at the end of the week, signs of P-deficiency have vanished, now the lower fan leaves start showing magnesium deficiency (intervenal yellowing)
- Plant is growing and branching, but started to show magnesium deficiency at the lower fan leaves
- researched and found that my water is high in calcium (94 mg/L), but low in magnesium (9 mg/L), therefore from now on I add 0.23 g/L Epsom salt to the water to bring the Ca/Mg ratio to 3:1
- if this is successful and I have the nutrients figured out, will flip the lights to 12h in 2-3 weeks when the auto in the same tent is ready for harvest
- did some mild LST to level the branches and expose some of the inner nodes
- added some mycos for soil live
- plant is growing and filling the canopy, but there still seems to be a few nutrient imbalences (a little Ca deficiency showing on new growth)
- will continue with full BioBizz scheme and observe, switch to 12/12 planned after this week
- started 12/12 light cycle
- plant does not look perfect, but is large enough to flower and I am worried it becomes root bound in this smaller container if left in veg any longer
- switched to the light mix BioBizz scheme, since the plant looks like it could use more N and the pre-fertilized soil is probably used up by now
- because the plant looked hungry, I gave it a 30min bath with inorganic fertilizer (NPK 11-14-17 + 2) to combat the deficiency and remove potential dry spots, some clawing leaves next day, otherwise plant looks good
- by the end of the week, the signs of deficiency have disappeared and the plant has grown by 10 cm
- plant is growing and new leaves look lush with no signs of deficiency
- first sign of pre-flower discovered 12 days after changing to 12/12 (June 17th), counting flowering weeks from this day on (after 12.5 weeks of vegetative period)
- flower sites become visible
- plant looks healthy and canopy almost covers entire tent (60x60cm)
- pre-flower stretch is not very pronounced (50% so far), as it was advertized for this strain
- flowers grow
- plant consumes more water
- removed the LST wires
- plant drops the lowest leaves, will remove the other lower leaves that are yellow due to earlier deficiency next week
-lowest leaves are continuing to yellow and drop, will not defoliate since the plant is defoliating itself
-smell sightly increased
-water demand increased further at beginning of the week (1L per two days, temperatures had also increased), back to 1L every 3 days by the end of the week
-observed some slight Ca and Mg deficiency at the leaves -- therefore topdressed with 12 g dolomit lime (2 g per liter soil), run-off pH slightly increased to 7.5-8 after watering
-first pistil hairs started to turn red-orange
- buds are growing and stacking, almost half of the expected flowering time has passed
- re-arranged air circulation so that it is on level of buds and turned it up
- some slight nutrient burn appeared at leaf tips, likely related to the dolomit lime topdressing last week
- flowers continue to stack, but growth has slowed
- otherwise plant seems in good shape, no signs of overfeeding or deficiencies
- 4 weeks to go untill harvest according to breeder
- flowering continues, bud growth has slowed down
- flowers have been foxtailing somewhat
- water consumption is reduced, only watering every 3-4 days now
- pH has been 8 (since topping with dolomit lime 2 weeks ago) but the plant is doing fine
- pistil hairs slowly turn more orange
- trichomes already look mostly cloudy at flower day 58
- at flower day 61, almost all are cloudy but still a lot of white pistil hairs
- will stop feeding after this week
- stopped feeding
- light cycle set to 11/13h
- last 3 days without light (not completely dark though during daytime)
- on day 70, amber trichomes were visible and the plant was harvested
- plant had exactly the properties that were advertised (stretch, flowering time)
- bounced back from nutrient issues early in the grow and still yielded a nice amount flower
- only issue is the low germination rate (1/3)
- hung whole plant at 40-50% rel. humidity, therefore no wet weight available
- plant was dry after 10 days, trimmed and the large buds put in jars for curing
