Gurlifiegger 30.04.2024: Earleen stretches her little head out of the soil for the first time. 01.05.2024: Today was the first time Earleen got some sun. I hope it wasn't too much. 02.05.2024: I interpret it as a positive sign that Earleen isn't shooting up too fast. The red stem is a bit concerning though. With some strains, it's supposedly genetic, but it could also indicate stress. Skittie had a red stem too, but it was less pronounced. And this one really appeared overnight. Well, let's see how this develops. 03.05.2024: From today on, the little plants have to stay inside again since the weather isn't cooperating. 04.05.2024: The plants can be outside today, tomorrow, and maybe even the day after to soak up some sun!

Gurlifiegger 13.05.2024: The vertical growth is currently a bit slow. Earleen has been stuck at 5cm for a few days now. But I've also noticed a slowdown with Skittie before the preflowering phase. 14.05.2024: The lack of growth is really puzzling me. Are the roots mainly being developed right now? Did I do something wrong? Are there fungus gnats at work despite the nematodes and predatory mites? The plant actually looks healthy... Let's wait and see. 19.05.2024: I think I've recognized signs of a nitrogen deficiency (leaves lighter green than they should be, more pronounced in the older leaves; the GrowCush app confirms my suspicion). That's why the plants got water (including nutrients) again. I haven't watered since 10.05. because I probably overwatered a bit before that. The slowed growth could also be due to the nitrogen deficiency.

Gurlifiegger 03.06.2024: Earleen is growing slower in height compared to Creamilla, but she's bushier. She's doing well, the little one! 04.06.2024: I defoliated a bit (2 leaves) so the side branches can get more light. 05.06.2024: I did a bit more defoliating today and started some LST on the side branches to get them away from the main stem a bit. The changes will be visible in tomorrow's pictures. Unfortunately, I accidentally broke a side branch. I tried to tape it back together. Let's see if that works; otherwise, it’ll just have to go. Gained another experience. 06.06.2024: The broken side branch didn't make it... F... The remaining side branches look pretty good with the LST though :)

I believe the stagnation in growth is due to her getting a bit too little light; the same thing is happening to a buddy of mine right now. We started almost at the same time (he started 5 days earlier), and I'm now much further along in growth. Of course, I have a different strain in the pot, but such significant differences can really only be explained by my additional lighting, since we did everything else relatively the same. For trying out, I can recommend a Sensi plant LED (I have 2x10w Gooseneck from Sensi, around 30-35€); they're not too expensive. Otherwise, I wish you lots of fun and success!

@Gurlifiegger, 😁 yeah, the thing with genetics might be true, but I suspect it's really about the light. I have my lamp on for 18 hours or by the window, and surprisingly, my plants are doing really well 😅 you should check it out. I totally understand the budget thing, but I would invest the 30€ again and again. You can even find good LED boards with 65w for about 30€ on Aliexpress; I ordered one for my buddy. Just search for Samsung lm281b. 30€ seems like a fair price if it makes the yield enjoyable later on 😁

@Gurlifiegger, and you also have to consider that the auto seeds aren't cheap, so you want to get something out of it 😅 in the end, the investment will definitely pay off 😄
