05.05. 50ml of the booster mixture to each plant (PH 5.9, 22Β°C) plants are growing in height 9-10cm Air 22-24Β°C should remove plant 3 soon? Sick mutated plant could be more prone to pests? xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 06.05. Already noticed yesterday that the surface of the soil became quite hydrophobic, so I lightly applied some water to the surface using spray bottle. Besides that, still moist a few cm below the surface. Color is a nice darker green. Second time I did notice better leaf color a day after giving booster solution. Other than that nothing really new. New growth mainly around new shoots. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 07.05 Plant 2 is already 12cm, plant 1 around 10cm - maybe I should increase amount of light? New shoots on plant 3 look more normal, also growth picks up - maybe she is recovering? Coldest day so far. Lowest temp 19Β°C High 23.5Β°C Humidity 45-50% The first 3-4 cm are already VERY dry, but still did decide to skip water again because plants still look good and bottom half of the pot still seems a bit moist. - Want to encourage deeper roots. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 08.05. slowly applied water until light drain. around 6L for all 3 plants. Temp: 19Β°C PH: 6.5 Also gave the girls a very light shower with the spray bottle at the beginning of dark time growing a bit in height. Plant 2 already at 13cm. Other than that slower growth (maybe they did build more roots due to the long dry period?) did lower the lamp around 15cm to 80cm xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 09.05. No water. surface is still more moist than I like - probably due to lower temps and higher humidity. Leafs are a bit hanging. *UPDATE* They just had to wake up. Leafs are tight AF again. Plant 2 grows in height a lot, already 16cm. 12cm for plant 1 wich is a lot shorter, but has roughly the same development. Third side branch is already forming on both plants plant 3 continues to be weird. Her main now grows sideways, almost like she is topped Did clean the floor of the box and plant saucers. - *UPDATE* I have to do smth with plant 2 either topping or LST. still a bit unsure xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 10.05. Forgot to close the window over night so temp dropped to 18Β°C for a few hours :( plant 2 didnt grow in height today, so I decided against topping. Instead I started LST. plant 1 is still short and bushy, hard to LST and not necessary imho.. I just let her grow for now No water today Did lower the lamp to 45cm distance, but still on 40% xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 11.05. No Water today Further LST on plant 2: bend her lower and get some leaves out of the way Started LST of plant 1 very lightly

Grow Questions

Hi, first grow here. My automatics are at their 16th day above ground. I think I have to top one of my plants to keep her height in check. Where and when should I top her? should I rather only do LST or maybe even wait for now (but they are automatics, so I should be quick?)?

With Autoflowers you want to avoide as much stress to the plant as possible because you are on a set time of growth before its flower. Topping is considered stressful to the plant. However, some people do this and have good success. Personally I always LST my Autoflowers and they turn out amazing. If I were you, I would simply pull down the plant to level out the canopy and keep pulling down the branches as they grow. This will open it up and cause more branches to get better light and in return produce amazing colas all over. You can check out my Banana Purple Punch Diary to see how I LST my plants and then what they grew up to be. I hope this helps.

yo, lookin good. I have just noticed you are using plastic pots (very similar to mine) and the problem with them is that they hold water/humidity/wetness for weeks... I thought Im watering a little bit every 3-4 days but it turns out it's all wet soil under the first 1-2cm of dried soil. I got Fungus Gnats because of that.

@emanresU, but isnt that the point to keep the water? If it is evaporating, then it is just increasing humidity. Maybe good in veg, but in flower I'd rather have the water in the pots and not in the air. I dont have any problems with my plastic pots no pests and no soil temp or overwatering issues and watering once a week also saves quite a bit of time fabric pots lying around too, probably will try them in the next grow, but my first impression is that I prefer plastic btw. I have nematodes and neem oil lying around too, so I am prepared IF fungus gnats show up, but in fact I think plastic pots are indeed better against fungus gnats, because you can have a dry surface for much longer as the bottom half stays moist longer = less frequent watering

Best of luck with the grow🌱🌱 The first one is usually the most stressful but also the most memorable βœŒοΈπŸ˜ŽπŸ’¨

Looks nice, I hope #3 will also be a succes, maybe she's just a lil bit shy and needs more time. Good Luck!

@Elyxion, Thanks, but plant 3 is not only late. She shows a lot of mutations. Leafs are really deformed, the whole plant is not symmetrical and kinda looks sick. It already started at germination with her strange asymmetrical cotyledons. I might give her a few additional days, but probably will remove her out of fear that the weak plant attracts pests that could also affect the two healthy plants.

@James, thanks. growth is a bit slower than I did expect seeing other timelapse videos from more experienced growers, but still ok for first grow I hope. Plant 3 does worry me a bit
