DevilDice A generic picture to even start this "Troublegrow."
As always, there should be a single plant in the mini-time.
So started as always.
- Took 1 seed out of the fridge
- Let it come to room temperature for a few hours
- 1 day in lukewarm water
- Then placed on a saucer with a damp paper towel
- Covered with plastic wrap and poked 4 holes in it
- Wait
And then the fun began.
When nothing had happened after 7 days, I decided to germinate a second seed.
Again, NOTHING happened for 7 days.
Since the first seed didn't smell moldy or anything, I decided to leave it with the other one.
On day 15 (!) then the miracle. BOTH seeds had germinated. And that's where the fun began.

DevilDice As you can see, there's just not enough space. On top of that, there's a bit of missing soil, and the existing soil isn't of good quality.
However, the plants are developing wonderfully, although they couldn't be more different in stature.
The growth form is rather typical for indica.

DevilDice And off we go.
The plants are growing and thriving vigorously.
Only the space is giving me trouble.
Currently, they are still very small.
Since I'm writing the diary in hindsight, I can already tell you that I was forced to top them at the beginning of flowering because they had the most intense stretch I've ever seen.
Still, the space to the lamp kept getting less and less.
Microgrowing problems at its finest.

DevilDice And here is the whole misery.
They stretch and stretch, and there's no end in sight.
Interestingly, they don't smell at all so far.
When rubbing the stem, one shows more herbal notes, while the other smells like fruit gum.
Now it's just a matter of holding on and making the best of it.
It's still exciting!

DevilDice The flowering is progressing.
Not much new here.
Fertilizing continues according to the schedule.
What stands out is that the buds are getting a bit too close to the sun like Icarus and are now having some issues.
There's not much more to report here. The coming week will be more exciting.

DevilDice End of flowering week 6.
This is getting exciting.
While one plant is pushing more and more dense heavy buds, the other one is beautifully purple.
It stays smaller but smells so fruity that it's hard to believe.
The larger plant smells like rubber/tire/eraser, but you have to say that bubblegum also has gum in it. 😂
The two phenos couldn't be more different. I have to live with the space issue. I hope it doesn't lead to mold later on.
I've shaped the branches a bit with bonsai wire. I hope it helps.

DevilDice And the plants keep growing and growing. One night they got a bit of cold, which turned the smaller one into a beautiful purple.
In terms of smell, we still have rubber with the larger one and bubblegum as well as floral notes with the smaller one.
The problem now is the swelling buds, which have hardly any space next to each other due to the late topping. I can already see the mold risk. Now it's a waiting game.

Now the two clearly show with a slightly stronger smell when she has too little water.
Of course, the dark danger increases, which is why this is the last week with nutrients. Then it's time to flush and soon chop.
Let's see what else comes :D

DevilDice And if it doesn't work out from the beginning, it continues like that until the end.
Due to personal commitments, the harvest must be done by the end of this search, so that drying and curing can be ensured.
I am aware that the plant would have needed another good 2 to 4 weeks.
Still, I am satisfied with the result.
For 2 days, only clear water was given, followed by a flush. After a few more days, a 3-day dark phase marked the end and the beginning of the harvest.

DevilDice Harvest time.
As described above, the two were on the line.
Then they moved into the drying box for 8 days until the desired snap was heard.
Now it's time to cure.
Good luck going forward. I hope you get genetics from real breeders next time. RQS is okay, but it's no comparison. It took me 15 years to realize that too, but we were very limited with our legal situation here. Only top genetics come into my garden like Ethos, Karma, Nasha, Inhouse, Exotic Genetics, Elev8, Solfire Garden, Humboldt Seed Co., just to name a few. Even though they are more expensive, I always had my best quality looking back. The times of Sensi Seeds, Barneys, etc. are unfortunately over. Not that you can't achieve 20+ THC with them, please don't get me wrong, I'm just speaking from my personal experience since 1995. Sorry for rambling. In the end, what's important is just #keep on growing.
@Stony_German, when it comes to that, I really enjoy being "talked to" by experienced people :D Thank you for sharing your experiences. I'm still experimenting and seeing what works. It's less of a benchmark that can be consistently reproduced and more of a journey whose path I don't know, but I have a rough direction :D
I'm not after THC monsters... more for the fun!
Thanks for reaching out. And I'll drop a subscription... for some peeking, of course :D
Just a little update since I have the time.
I've added some macro photos from most of the flowering weeks. I hope you guys check them out, maybe some of you will like them 😊
