Enjoying the Growth at thix point. Humidity at ~65% Temp. at 22 Celcius I decided to give them more light, therefore hung the light at:44 cm, 400ppfd. I usually water every 3 or 4 days. 200ml per plant. PH at 6.5 First time 0,4ml/L BioBizz Grow each. Day 11 since I put them in soil (don't count germ. Days) things start to smell a little.

Day 16 here, Is watering with 600ml per plant enough at this stage? One of the plants has new leaves which tend to claw or curl down. Also the leaves tend to hang more than the other ones. I usually water every 3 days when the upper soil is dry enough (first 3 to 5cm)

watering with coco perlite usually means watering until actual run off so that the ph can be tested pick up and feel the weight of the pot before you water then again afterwards so that you will know by feel when it needs watering again what you are doing now by only wetting the upper soil is keeping the roots up there as well deep watering only when needed encourages the roots to fill the pot giving the plant a bigger root ball = bigger yield

But I'm actually growing in Soil and not in coco. Therefore the middle part of the pot is holding some moisture. But the main Question is: growing in soil day 15/16 ist 600ml to much or not enough water?

I checked your diary man, they are looking fine. It's hard to determine how much water is needed for several reasons, but the best way especially when they are still young to avoid over watering is to just water at the base of the stem 1 or 2 glasses should be enough. We want to then start watering the whole pot when the plant has grown well and has established a big root system. However it is far harder to kill a plant of thirst then over watering so it is better hold back then overdo it. Good luck

Hi Grow Community! I am trying LST for the first time. Plant is about 14cm hight. As far as I know I need to bend the stem until it's horizontal with the soil. But the stem of my plant is already so thick and solid. Does it need to be rly horizontal?Should I try and bend it more?

Hi buddy ive been training plants for years like most growers and like my fellow growers have said LST or training is a very long game and it requires a lot of patients though you can achieve some very impressive results if you are patient enough check out my current galetog from seeds man I have trained that plant for 11 weeks and almost manged to fill a 4ft x 4ft tent with one plant. I have never used any HST methods in that grow as I find it can cause a little too much stress and slow a plants growth down. I start training at maybe week number 4 or 5 of veg I don't bend branches or gently snap them I use a 2inch net and I simply guide the new side branching out wards keep doing that everyday and you will eventually create and even canopy with little to no stress :) LST= Patience instead of bending the branch try and manipulate it with plastic ties like you are doing I use this method combined with grow stakes to support the ties then when I have the plant growing the way I want I remove the stakes :) best of luck buddy your doing really well.

Hello Growers! Last week I gave around 1ml/L BioGrow in 600ml water. Now all leaves seem to me dark green. Some are disformed/wavey and show burned leave edges and slighty burned Tipps. Two of them seem to be handling the high nitrogen. But the third is curling/clawing. Wdyt?

How does the main stem feel? I see some wilting. Generally, wilting is due to OVER or UNDER watering. Nitrogen is a mobile Nutrient and a little bit goes a long way. N toxicity is possible, but not likely because most fertilizers only put a small amount in. As it doesn't take much for a N deficient plant to get it back to proper Nitrogen levels in one or two feedings only. I would advise against flushing at this point in time. I would perhaps do a dry-back and let your soil dry out for a few days, then water slowly until run off. Post a follow up in a week and i'm sure all will be fine. It is possible that your plant got stressed as well, but marijuana is very resilient.

Should I defoliate now or wait for the last weeks of bloom? I Focus on: Air Circulation and light penetration

Alright, looking at your setup in week 6, it's a good time to think about defoliating a bit, especially if your plants are getting quite bushy. At this stage, removing some of the larger leaves can really help improve light penetration and air circulation around the lower parts of your plants. This can be crucial for bud development and overall plant health. Here’s what I’d suggest: Target the Big Leaves: Focus on the larger fan leaves that are shading other buds or blocking airflow to the lower branches. Go Gradual: Don’t go too heavy all at once. A gradual approach over a few days is gentler on the plants and lets you judge how they’re handling it. Watch the Response: After each round of defoliation, give your plants a day or two to recover and see how they respond. If they seem stressed, ease off a bit next time. By clearing out some space, you’re helping ensure that all the buds get the light they need and that air is moving freely to keep things cool and reduce any mold risks. Just keep it chill and don’t strip them bare; they still need plenty of leaves to soak up the light! Cheers, D.

Hey Grow Community, My Autos are now 7 weeks old and from other diaries I saw people Defoliating extremely in the last weeks to the point when theres almost only the buds with some smaller and sugar leaves. My question is, should I do one last defoliation, and if yes, when?

Late defoliation is mainly to either: eliminate moisture pockets that could contribute to bud rot in the last weeks or during the last week more of a total strip down in prep for harvest. A lot of people confuse the harvest prep for a general defoliation, don't strip a plant naked unless you're about to chop. If you have several weeks left, leave some foliage. Harvest prep defols are just to save you some time trimming later. The plants will dry faster with fewer leaves, depending on conditions in your dry space that could be good or bad.
