Germination. First time trying 1%hydrogen peroxide solution. Older seeds and perfect almost uniform germination. I’m impressed. Have had issues with every bean I’ve been trying to pop because of them being older and I’ve never had anything but newer seeds in my previous growing periods of my life
4/23/24 planted into 1 gallon pots with a mix of coco perlite and worm castings.
4/24 seeds will be numbered in order they popped through soil. #1 popped through in the morning, I woke up to her saying hi at 7 am. Seed #2 came to say what’s up, later in the afternoon, when the sun was high in the sky and shining down gently around 1-3pm
4/25 #3 has shot up with the urgency of somebody late to their own birth 😂 she’s the only one to shed her shell on her own. The others slowly wiggled up and held onto their helmets as #3 seemed to forget theirs in their vigor and haste
4/28 #1 had part of the seed stuck and she didn’t open without my help and has been slow ever since even though she was the first up.
#2 is probably the most well rounded of the three, has the most mature looking set of leaves and seems happy
#3 grew out of her dome before any others. She’s stretching a bit. A little underdeveloped compared to the other but she’s still the one seeming the most actice
hey i saw you mentioned airy buds in week 12, has the issue become better ? and if yes, what6 did you do ? i think mine has the same issue and imn not sure iff its a defficeency or i just gotta give her more time.
@losgehts, i tried sending you a message but i saw you had a question a bout a leaf issue on one of your plants. my suggestion is to make sure your plants are recieving water without chlorine. i have started boiling water and then cooling it down in a bucket outside and using that. they look very similiar to calcium def and if youre not careful and keep adding calcium to help, it can cause issues as well. but try to dechlorinate your water. it makes a huge difference
@losgehts, yeah im not sure man. i think it could be genetics plus environment. these ladys have had a longer life than most autos. ive done so many things wrong but somehow they seem to be mostly fine. like they spent almost 2 months outside in shotty spring weather and then i even transplanted them mid flower. but in my opinion, i think these may be a nitrogen sensitive plant and vould probably do with less than what i was providing them. that could also show in the massive stretching that i had with them. my nutrient formula is a 711 npk value and it suggested to use it in conjunction with the bloom for the forst 4 weeks of flower, which worked magically with my photo periods but i think i shouldve dialed it back and even possibly only added the bloom, which is a 374 npk i believe.
i shouldve treated them more like autos than photos lol
so they all 3 have airy buds on the bottom half. the top cola is pretty solid on all 3 even with the airy bud structure. some are more airy than others. i will have to see how they dry. also i normally would trim all the lower larfy stuff and i just didnt this time. i really didnt think they were going to make it this far. they stalled like the first month of their life. but i just wanted to see what they would do without manipulation from me.
@modmyplants, will do. these may go towards hash. the trichomes are fairly pronounced and the trichome to plant matter ratio seems higher than other cultivars that id smoke.
