My Dutch Passion Auto Orange Bud Grow Diary: Week 2
The second week with my Dutch Passion Auto Orange Bud has been a period of remarkable growth and proactive cultivation. Here’s a recap of the week’s progress:
Lighting and Climate Control: I’ve upgraded my setup to include the XS4000 LED, complemented by UV-A + NIR 50W lights that run in parallel, starting 15 minutes before and after the main light turns on. This ensures a gradual transition of light intensity, simulating a more natural light cycle. Additionally, I’ve employed a humidifier to maintain the ideal humidity levels for my plant’s health.
Growth Progress: I was thrilled to see a substantial increase in growth this week, with my plant’s height jumping from 5cm to 14.5cm. This growth spurt is a clear sign that the plant is responding well to the new lighting and controlled humidity.
Watering and Nutrition: I watered the plant with around 400ml of water, along with a mix of Hesi SuperVit and Bio Canna Vega + Bio Canna Rhizotonic. These nutrients are designed to encourage strong vegetative growth and a healthy root system, which are crucial during these early stages.
Low-Stress Training (LST): With the plant exhibiting such good health and no apparent issues, I decided to implement Low-Stress Training (LST) at the end of week 2. LST is a gentle technique to shape the plant’s growth and can lead to better light distribution and potentially higher yields.
Reflection: This week has been incredibly rewarding. The substantial growth and lack of complications have reinforced my confidence in the cultivation process. I’m eager to see how the LST will influence my Auto Orange Bud’s development as I continue this exciting journey.
Week 2 has solidified my belief in the importance of adapting to my plant’s needs and the positive impact of a well-managed grow environment. The progress of my Auto Orange Bud is a source of great satisfaction, and I look forward to sharing more updates as we move forward. 🌿
