My Royal Queen Seeds F1 Epsilon Grow Diary: Week 2
The second week with my Royal Queen Seeds F1 Epsilon has been a period of remarkable growth and proactive adjustments. Here’s a recap of the week’s progress:
Lighting and Climate Control: I’ve stepped up my lighting game by introducing the XS4000 LED, along with UV-A + NIR 50W lights that run in parallel, activating 15 minutes before and after the main light turns on. This strategy is aimed at providing a smooth transition of light for my plants. A humidifier was also installed to regulate the humidity, ensuring an ideal growing atmosphere.
Growth Surge: My F1 Epsilon responded well to the new setup, showcasing a significant growth spurt from 3.5cm to an impressive 11.5cm. This rapid increase in height is a testament to the plant’s robust genetics and the effectiveness of the controlled environment.
Watering and Nutrition: I maintained a precise watering schedule, giving the plant around 400ml of water along with a nourishing mix of Bio Canna Vega and Bio Canna Rhizotonic. These nutrients are specifically formulated to foster strong vegetative growth and a thriving root system.
Low-Stress Training (LST): With the plant exhibiting such good health and no apparent issues, I decided to implement Low-Stress Training (LST) at the end of week 2. LST is a gentle technique to shape the plant’s growth and can lead to better light distribution and potentially higher yields.
Reflection: This week has been incredibly rewarding. The substantial growth and lack of complications have reinforced my confidence in the cultivation process. I’m eager to see how the LST will influence my F1 Epsilon’s development as I continue this exciting journey.
Week 2 has solidified my belief in the importance of adapting to my plant’s needs and the positive impact of a well-managed grow environment. The progress of my F1 Epsilon is a source of great satisfaction, and I look forward to sharing more updates as we move forward. 🌿
