Kicking off the 2024 outdoor grow! I haven't had a real outdoor grow in over a decade. And the previous outdoor grow was the only time I've done it.
One of the Sour Diesel beans didn't germinate. 6 out of 7 isn't too bad though!
They're currently sharing a tent with some autos that just germinated. I plan on transplanting them outdoors in about 3-4 weeks.
Week one in the books. Will slightly increase light intensity every few days until the plants are used to high ppfd. I don't want to stunt them when they go outside at the end of the month.
The girls have been outside for almost a full week! The first 2 days were rough with upper 80s and full sunshine. I wasn't able to harden them before moving them to a different property because my neighbors are nozy.
They are super healthy so far!
Deer repellent, chicken wire fence, and a light organic insecticide spray on the first night are the current defenses. Along with cameras for security .
Gave the girls 1/2 dose of recharge. They're loosely secured to bamboo stakes. Storms have been blowing through so the support helps tremendously.
They're already more than double the size they were 2 weeks ago. The Exodus Cheese is as high as my waistline and I'm 6'1".
I'm debating on topping the Exodus Cheese again. I don't want these plants growing too tall.
Topped 3 of the girls again this week. They are growing a lot faster than anticipated!
Did a quick spray of organic pesticide Sunday evening before night-time.
Today they got their 2nd feeding of Gaia Green.
I might start training them outwards next week.
Topped the girls again this week. They're still doing amazingly!
However, I did notice some Japanese Beetles and grasshoppers munching on some of the leaves. The damage isn't bad at all. I'm still planning on adding nets to the plants for the next couple of months. First, I need to replace their fences with larger diameter fence. I plan on starting to LST them next week and will need more room.
This website is a mess. I might stop using it for a while. Currently having mental health issues and this website having errors 80% of the time and having to re-enter everything isn't helping.
Grow Diaries, please fix your website.
I can't even add photos or anything today.
Sprayed the girls with BT spray yesterday. I've low stress trained 3 out of 6 of them. Curious to see the difference with outdoor plants.
Grasshoppers are still the biggest pests. They aren't too bad at the moment. I have 100 feet of insect netting in case it becomes a problem.
This website can kiss my ass. Almost a month of not being able to update anything. This is the only diary that I'm able to update.
Anyways, Skunk is in week 2 of flowering. The other 5 just started this week.
Trellis nets are up! Had some issues with the soil not absorbing rain water, but I think it's solved now with buckets and a drip system I concocted.
Overall, mostly healthy!
Chugging along with the outdoor grow. Skunk is in week 4 flowering.
Both GG4 girls just finished week 2 flowering. Sour diesel and wedding cake have been flowering about 10 days.
The cheese plant just started flowering and is not liking the outdoor environment.
I think I finally have the watering figured out, so let's see how the next few weeks go.
