Automatic RQS. Fat Banana and Royal Critical. My 3rd grow. 600w HPS in 120x120x210cm Tent!

I put little bit too much wet soil on top of the Fat Banana seed and it struggle little bit. After connecting HPS lamp Fat Banana is ready to jump into the sun. She can bend due to touch/water or idk and then after 2 hours she's back to "straight position".

We just had crazy 2 days. First, I thought its gonna be good to rise the pots on a carton box... Then I thoughts it's gonna be even better to water the plant until it starts dripping from the bottom and I took a nap. Disaster. I have some cheap plastic pots that drain the water pretty slow and when I woke up from my nap, the box was bend and tent had a lot of water on the ground. I fixed the problem and I put the pots on top of upside pots. But today I set the lamp to 400W, Fat Banana was defo stretching for more "sun". Day after that, I thoughts that maybe it's gonna be good if she stretch a little. I set up a fan blowing on her every now and then and I go to sleep. Next day I found her laying on the ground, so I had to put extra soil around the stem so she don't break. You can see on pictures from Day 8, she is little bit to the left, a bit to the right. She literally just LST herself. It was funny to see how fast she get up after that accident (see Day 7 pics). Edit from 01/05/2024 or from 05/01/2024 for USA weed enjoyers. Before I was talking about Fat Banana stretching for more light and I gave some to her she respond very good to that. Currently I'm blasting 400W at them from 6am to 11pm. Temps are hot outside generally so inside the tent I have 32C and below. I thought It's maybe a little bit too much for them but they seems to not give a single fuck and they pray everyday for more :) Another thing that I'm worry about is humidity. I never drops below 40% and it sits usually at around 42-44%. I'm putting wet cloth next to the plant for that extra moisture but Im not sure If that's gonna be enough with 3-5 more plants and 600W. Tomorrow Im going for more soil and Im gonna fill up the tent with pots. Originally I was thinking about 9 plants, because that's how many pots will fit there but now Im thinking about 5-6 because of space around. It's gonna be pain in the ass to work around 9 flowers in super crowdy space. Also, these freaking 18L pots I have, they hold 25L of soil no problem. Edit from 03 May 2024 Last two days plants are praying, that's it. I'm just watching. 32C and humidity drops to 30-35% because I close the tent more than it was before.

Sunday 5th May 2024: Still blasting 400W for 18h a day. 32C max in the middle of the day. Humidity drops as low as 30-32% but I already fixed that, back to 41%. I wanted to close the tent for less light-leakage but that just sucked out all the humidity, So I had to re-open it and put bigger fan in front of a tent (just like in week 1). I'm watering every third day, around 1L / 1.25L tap water. No PH check, no PH up/down liquids. It's just good ol tap water that I drink for years. If I'm ok, plants will be more than good. Plants seems to like the temps, they form their leaves in praying formation more often now. I'm doing nothing generally. Just peek into the tent everyday, say Hi, maybe sing a song, play some house music for them (shoutout to "moumou" on YouTube!". My ADHD brain just wanted to touch the plant like YouTubers do on their videos and thats mega-mistake in my opinion when working with Automatic plants. Look at the first pic of this week. That leaf is like that for 2-3 days because I just touch them, I wanted to feel if they dry or not etc. Huge mistake. I think any touch will stress the plants and slower the grow. Look at Mr. Canucks Grow YT channel, few years ago he was planting 4-5 autos in 4x4 feet tent and he was touching them so often and aggressive that it took 12 weeks to harvest. I believe that when you don't touch these plants at all, they will just do what they need to do and will finish growing in they desire time. Edit from 10th May. I left freaking banana peal in my kitchen for 24h and now I have fucking fruit flies problem. Now I'm trying to dry the fuck out of them. Edit about 11/12th May. Battle against Fungus Gnats going strong. I put some yellow sticky tape inside and I'm catching dozens every day. I decide to not give a F about these Fungus Gnats and I fill up the rest of the tent with pots. Top soil dry, bottom literally sealed until everything is dry, these mothertruckrs are hiding in drench holes.

Edit from 16th May. Ok, so... I got Fungus Gnats... I vacuum cleaned my plant my accident... Overwatered first 2 plants... This is not like riding bicycle, I had to re-learn few things. But we going strong! The biggest plant (Fat Banana week #4) growing big and strong, every 2 hours I can notice some changes, she seems to like the environment (32C and ~40% Humidity), soil stays wet for weeks literally. I have to buy bottom feeders and keep the top soil dry bone to prevent Fungus Gnats having sex in wet soil. I have switched to 600W now and I put my lamp around 30cm higher then before. I have a net for Sea Of Green hanging and waiting but Im not sure If Im gonna use it or If I'm gonna "lollipop" these plants just because there is so many of them now there. I didn't "top" because I believe that main cola produce some banger THC content and terps, so I want to focus on all main colas and just tackle the side ones. Edit from 17th May. It looks like Fungus Gnats don't like 24h light. I can see larvas trying to eat the roots (fuck you you fucking.... FuckYouGnat). But I don't see adults flying around. 4x yellow tape helps as well for sure. I ordered some Nematodes, they should be here next week. Until then I'm fighting manually. I placed a decoy on most of the pots. I'm hoping to attract larvas to the decoy instead of baby roots of my plants. They already eat one of my seedling before it even fully open the shell, so I think there are not so many of them to attack all plants at once. I feel like I'm having more and more control over them everyday. Moving the dry soil to the sides also helps a bit with killing larvas. Just uncover the wet parts with larvas and blast them with all the watts you have. So far 2 big plants looks good and healthy, some praying leafs every now and then. I think I'm gonna leave the lights for 24/7 until I'm gonna be sure these FuckYouGnats are gone. Edit form 18th May. Nematodes arrived, I mixed 1 pack in 2L and watered all 8 pots. I have 1 pack left that I'm planning to use next week or after 2 weeks. Lady Banana is showing her sex. I was worried that it looks like hermie but I think it's just Calyx in very early stage. She also looks "wilt", I guess from all that dry period, she got some water today with nematodes, I'll check on her tomorrow. Vacuum Cleaner Surviver going strong! I believe she would even survive a house fire!

Edit from 19th May. Literally 00:09 Pre-Flowering. Fat Banana looks like Hermie. Royal Critical = clean pre-flower. Edit from 19th May. 16:26 Fat Banana had balls sack and pistils growing all over the place. I nuked everything that had balls on it. I left only top node with pistils. Royal Critical is full of pistils, no balls. Now I wish I had photoperiod seeds instead of automatics. I would give Critical 1 extra week in veg. She is around 10-15cm smaller then Fat Banana. I switched the lights back to 400W. Edit from 20th May. 14:45 I think 32C is maximum what these plants can handle. With 600W I was reaching 34C on some top leaves and that could possibly turn the Fat Banana into hermit (she was the tallest). I open the tent a little (front doors), I put big-ass fan on second gear blowing strong wind through the mesh-window of a tent. I put the lights straight up to the ceiling, I literally can't put them any higher. Fat banana is now 58cm tall and around 80cm away from the light. Royal Critical is now 41cm tall and around 100cm away from the light. 50% Humidity 28C under the canopy/on the ground under the leaves 31C Air temperature. Lady BanaN starts "shinning" in the light with her precious trichomes, I have feeling that all that stress will coat the main cola with sugar :) Space Girl have that Jamiroquai vibes all the time, no worries at all, pretty forgiving plant (Royal Critical / 14% THC / Indica dominant hybrid) it was a freebie. I plant it only to have variety from Fat Bananas (22%THC/Indica dominant). I'm mainly looking for Rosin extraction so Trichome production is the most important for me. Don't care about the yield, this is why I filled the tent with biggest pots. Due to lack of place I can't stress these two plants just right before harvest (dark period etc). I was thinking about stressing whole tent with music. I have played Techno Rave already and they seems to like it... so... I don't think loud and aggressive music will stress them. Maybe sound of a city? Honking cars? Talking people? will stress her more? I'm gonna experiment. I just need to think of a way to make her thinking it's time to die and she needs to protect her self. 16th June More info on that day in week 8. 18th June 👉[550W @ 28C @ 58%]👈 550W seems pretty good. Safer option then 600W. I don't see the shroomy to grow bigger so I'm watching closely. [400W @ 30C @ 50%] Almost the end of the grow of Lady BanaN (hermie plant) and Royal Critical. I don't have jewelry loupe, can't check Trichioms in proper way but they were looking kinda "clear" a week ago and now they are more cloudy. Gonna wait around 2 weeks and chop. But imma chop it earlier if the buds gonna be burned/damaged or something idk. It defo didn't smell that nice a week ago, now it gives that... better/proper smell. It smells kinda like Amnesia Haze, Hazey-Citrus smell. Ofc Because Lady Banan was hermie she got mandatory HST and grows SUPER FREAKING FAT main cola. Royal Critical is... meh... but nice... And the other plants are just freaking growing even bigger... Shroomy doing good, small and bushy. Watered her few times and I just noticed that mycelium everywhere around hah, I think Im gonna save it for future grow (just keep the mycelium alive). Plants under carbon filter are like... 150-160cm (with pot) I guess its because there is just air circulation, which is good to see that my tent is not perfect everywhere and I need more fans or something. I thought about temps and lights. I saw more "praying leaves" at 400W then 550/600W. I can see them now in last 2 days where I switched to 400W cuz its hot af... Cold water shocks roots for sure. I can see my new plants don't like cold water that much. They need time to recover after watering and I don't think that's "good stress". Ripping of branches (Palm Tech yoyoyoyo) on hermie plants is my way to go now. But I really think that I should do it to all plants. Just rip off 2 maybe 3 lower nodes. The FROST, the SIZE, the SMELL of that Lady BanaN is just... Top Quality. That Royal Critical growing next to it looks like a scam, literally. 25th June Its getting so hot I had to lower watts on ballast from 400W to idk... one down and there is two more to 250W so... 350? 375? idgaf Its around 30C and around 50% RH Lady Banan was outside the tent for few hours yesterday and today she got more frosty? I hope it's not my imagination but Im doing it again, I think I'll just try to stress her for that last week or two. Royal Critical - week 11 cuz she was there since day 1 where at day 1 instead of Fat Banana I had Northern Light that didn't make it. I chopped. Fuck it. I need some more energetic high as well. When I was chopping I compare it next to fat banana. Defo clear trichioms and Fat Banana was all cloudy. Let the dry-period begin. I put that bitch inside dehydrator for few hours. Crispy buds, maybe little over-do but damn that smoke is sooooooooooo smooth, the high is soooooooo gooood. I put it inside the jar, will update on smell and taste in next few weeks. Day 5/6 curing? That shit is so good it's almost gone! The high is 50/10. 1g of that stuff makes me more high then 5g of stuff you have to pay 60 euro for. Creamy buttery vapor like freaking French toast with real butter or like croissant but without anything, just plain croissant but not the shitty one, the best one. Jesus... that weed is just too good, I have no idea why it turns like that. I thought Fat Banan gonna be bombastic but Critical turns out to be winner.

I chopped Lady BanaN as well. She was looking more ready then Royal Critical so why not? I eye ball everything so Im prolly wrong as fuck but the vaping experience from Royal Critical are exactly what Im looking for. So Im hoping Fat BanaN will give me that Couch Lock. Im not gonna dry it in dehydrator. It's gonna hang a little in very well ventilated area. Let the DRY begin! I put it in dehydrator as well I don't think I'm losing THC in there. I checked with pistol and that thing don't go over 100C. It's like 60C outside and 77C inside the engine/fan. But the buds got crispy dry and some bigger ones are wet inside so I'm afraid about the mold with this big one. But I kinda... cut off all the stems etc and dry it to the CRISP. I'm vaping Critical now so Im gonna leave banana for very long proper cure in a jar. I hope it's gonna turns out amazing cuz Critical in day 2 is just knocking me out ALMOST. Day 3 curing I get couch lock even if I drink red bull with this weed xD The hay smell is almost gone and the good smell is starting to show up. If the taste gonna show up in few weeks... I think that dehydrator method could be pretty damn good with few tweaks here and there.
