real_dev They were outside all week, at the beginning of the week it was warm, but over the weekend it got a bit colder again. During that time, the next set of leaves developed and is unfolding beautifully. Luckily, they survived the storm with hail on day 20 with a diameter of about 7mm. After that, they were lying a bit flatter on the ground… The weather report promises me 18-22 degrees next week.

real_dev Week 6 is over, they're still making good progress and haven't started flowering yet. Last week it rained a lot, but the sun also shone quite a bit. Next week is supposed to be very cloudy and rain on 3 days… Let's see how they develop & if flowering kicks in.

Smell
real_dev Despite a lot of rain and clouds, the two have bravely continued to grow and, as far as I can tell, are in the pre-flowering stage. I took them out of the bottom pot because of the rain, so they don't drown too much. Next week, the sun is supposed to show itself a bit more and the rain should ease up.

real_dev Now they should both (as far as I can tell) be in the flowering stage. Today I used fertilizer for the first time (from Compo, one Organic Fertilizer Stick each, plus some of the organic fertilizer "Growth" & organic fertilizer "Flower" in the water. Let's see if we notice a difference / how quickly. The week was mostly sunny, with a few clouds here and there. Next week is supposed to be a bit cloudier & possibly a bit cooler.

real_dev During the week, the buds on the super skunk have really shot up nicely. Blueberry is still a bit behind, but I have hopes for it. You can definitely smell it on the balcony, but I only find it strong directly by the plants; I don't have a comparison. I'm still using the fertilizer from Compo. The week was sunny with light cloud cover.

real_dev The two are escalating a bit for me right now... I wasn't around from Friday to Sunday & you can definitely notice the differences. The Super Skunk has become bushier & is diligently producing buds, the Blueberry is gaining height nicely (easily 15 cm a week) & is also producing some side branches, but it seems to be lagging a bit in the flowering stage.

real_dev This week there were some sunny hours, but also some rainy ones. The two are developing really nicely again :) While the flowering of the super skunk is slowly coming to an end (the lower flower pistils are still very white, I have no idea, but I give it 1-2 weeks), the blueberry is getting more and more flowers. I'm still giving them organic flower fertilizer from Compo, but I would stop that soon. In the meantime, it does smell a bit on the balcony, but no one from the neighbors has complained yet :-)

Smell
real_dev Another week has gone by. There was quite a bit of rain, but also a lot of sunshine. On Monday, I defoliated the super skunk to get a bit more light on the buds. No idea if that was the right move, I'm still gathering experience. In the meantime, many of the pistils in the upper area have turned orange, while on the newer branches / further down, some or many of them are still white. I don't think it will take much longer, right? Should I just harvest the main stem and leave the rest for now? The blueberry is still fully in bloom and shows hardly any signs of discoloration on the pistils. The buds are growing vigorously and are getting really big on the main stem :) I somewhat regret putting the two in the same pot... but oh well, it is what it is.

3 cm up, 3 cm down . All that part goes out to bin or toilet. Bud rot. Multiply by air, toxic to smoke. Chop all tree asap. Review good. If many spots - throw out all tree. Dont risk t. Liver poisoning or something like that, plus lung problems are very possible....

real_dev Had to take down the super skunk on Wednesday, so now there's just the blueberry left…. I'm paying a bit more attention to the weather now and putting her inside or in the shade of the balcony during bad weather reports. But she's getting denser and doesn't want to stop blooming at all :) The side branches are also developing beautifully. Slowly, the first stigmas are changing color too :)

real_dev I discovered bud rot on Wednesday and had to take down the super skunk. Only two side branches were left... I suspect it was due to the wet and cold weather the weekend before... It got wet and just wouldn’t dry anymore. Dry weight about 4 grams

real_dev The main stem had a strong smell, so it was harvested on Wednesday. Wet weight 146g, I'll provide the dry weight later. I'm going to let the side stems ripen for another 2-3 weeks, during which I can estimate how many grams the main stem loses when drying and trimming.

real_dev This Sunday, the rest of the plant was harvested since it's going to get colder next week and it's supposed to rain a lot… The first partial harvest is dry and packed into jars. From the 146g wet, 28g dry came out. Let's see what’s left of the rest today. I'm really satisfied with it :) While defoliating the dry parts, I noticed a few seeds… since there aren't many, does that mean someone nearby has a male plant? If it had come from one of my plants, there would have been more, right? And they need to be fertilized for seeds, or am I wrong? So without male/hermaphrodite plants, no seeds, right? The question now is: what do I do with the seeds… I would really like to plant them next year.

Happy growing! The soil is way, way too wet! It's dripping. Hemp is not a marsh plant, which is why it prefers slightly moist soil. The roots want to breathe.

Hey, those look nice! We also started Super Skunk White Label and Blueberry Zkittlez (and White Widow) on the balcony 12 weeks ago. Unfortunately, I don't remember which plant was from which seed.
real_dev
real_dev commented2y ago
@Janni, thanks :) I can tell the super skunk & blueberry zkittlez apart by the number of fingers on the leaves: the super skunk has a maximum of 5 fingers for me, while the blueberry sometimes has more (like 7). Unfortunately, my white widow has died on me… Maybe that helps a bit? Maybe it's just like that with my plants 😅
real_dev
real_dev commented2y ago
@Janni, thanks :) Unfortunately, my white widow & northern lights didn't make it... I don't know if it's the same everywhere, but for me, the super skunk only has a maximum of 5 fingers per leaf, while the blueberry often has more than 5. Maybe that helps?

At least 2 weeks, if not 4. They are still a bit far from "ready." Unless you want to settle for 5g of unripe buds. On the balcony, they take longer.

@GermanGrow182, thanks for the feedback :) Do you mean with the super skunk too? The blueberry definitely needs longer, I totally agree with you.

FraFra__frankenstoner_Two_days_in_a_day
It's not the size that matters, but the strength of the stem. The one in the blue pot probably won't make it.

Hey, could it be that you have all three in one pot? They're going to spread out later. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the weather. Today was fantastic in Munich! I notice you're already in week 6. I'm really curious if they actually only live for 2.5 months or if they can take their time and catch up. It's definitely easier with tomatoes!
Marmelade
Marmelade commented2y ago
@real_dev, it's going to be an experience for both of us. Now you're my benchmark for "starting over." I haven't actively smoked for 15 years. But at least I wanted to grow just out of principle. In the fall, many will probably give up, and then there will be grow gear at reasonable prices again. Right now, it's like with bicycles during Corona. They cost double and are worthless...
Marmelade
Marmelade commented2y ago
@real_dev, I actually know that problem. With the guys, it’s just drinking now, and being home alone is lame because I have to wait until the in-laws and kids are in bed. But then I'm too tired myself. You don't light up for just 30 minutes of free time. I'm hoping for my local Social Club. At least in the WhatsApp group, there seem to be a lot of middle-aged folks who are doing well in life... Congrats on the pre-flowering. In 2-3 weeks, you'll have beautiful buds! Check out eBay for pots for your next run. Much cheaper than the local hardware stores. You can also recycle them for other veggies next year ;)
real_dev
real_dev commented2y ago
@Marmelade, thanks :) The pot is ordered, should arrive in the next few days :) and if necessary, I'll use it next year for tomatoes. I've already set up a white widow automatic, which will then be moved. I have a feeling that the fertilizer really helps with the exhausted soil, they're making a nice push right now, I'm really curious to see what comes out in the end. I also visited a local grow & head shop just to build some contact, he seems really knowledgeable. I might ask him about vaporizers and what he recommends for first-time consumers.

@Salatkonfetti, the black one has laid down a bit, the blue one is a bit more stable. After the storm, both were relatively flat, but they are recovering again. Let's see how it goes this week…
AmmokSkater
AmmokSkater commentedweek 202y ago
Now the only question is: what do I do with the stuff?" Really get yourself a vaporizer if you don't want to smoke. I ordered a cheap one to try out and I have to say it works really well. No coughing, clean effect without the influence of harmful substances, no annoying rolling joints, and you don't smell gross like cold smoke afterwards or have that cold smoke taste in your mouth. I have the AirVape Xs GO (about €45). You said you want to start directly with edibles. But for beginners, it's hard to gauge how much and the effect takes a long time to kick in and lasts really long... With a vaporizer, you can easily microdose and get a better feel for it.
