Seed to harvest in 69 days…fast buds😎. Smells like ripe tropical fruits and the buds feel solid and greasy, not sticky, when touched. No bottled nutrients just worm castings and coco grow medium. The genetics did their thing and provided the purps.
So I started this grow with thoughts of no till, closed loop, regenerative gardening….I was all out of Biobizz nutrients🤣. I made Jadaim Nettle and Comfrey ferments and put my trust in worm castings. I have produced a small but very frosty, super smelly plant.
I bottom watered 5% of soil volume when dry and misted the top to keep it moist. I top fed every two weeks with a couple of handfuls of worm castings. I low stressed trained the plant at first sign of pistils and that’s it. Super easy grow.
So the only negative is the super small plant. However it’s all relative growing in a little over a ft2 area with just 25 watts, means that 25 grams is a 1 gram/watt ratio. This is fine by me.
Now the only thing I like doing as much as growing is consuming. I will update you with the smoke report, well vape report, when the buds have dried. Thanks for following along, grow with love✌️
Smoke review
I harvested the bud when the trichomes were mostly cloudy, with very few clear and hardly none amber. Possibly harvested a week too soon but you know how it is when looking at a little plant, you just want done with it and onto the next.
I discussed when to harvest with a grower in chat and they said when trichomes are 10-20% ambe which seems to be the norm. Although I think I like this slightly earlier harvest, well at least with this strain. Gets you soaring high rather than lulling you to sleep.
The dry took 7 days, humidity started out at 68% for the first couple of days. I exhausted 24/7 which gave just enough air movement and the humidity continually decreased and stabilised at 53% for the last couple of days. I didn’t wait for stem snap, whenever I do that in my particular setup the buds are too dry. I would rather jar slightly earlier and burp. This way keep the terpenes and the sticky icky. The buds are curing in a jar and sitting at around 63% so I will monitor and burp daily for the next week. After that everything should be golden.
So, the buds were greasy when harvested but are now super sticky once dried. They smell like ripe tropical fruits and taste like ripe tropical fruits.
This bud is very pleasurable at low vape temperature of 160 - 198 degrees Celsius, the taste holds true and the effect is potent. I keep coming back to myself aware that I am statue like staring at nothing and thinking about nothing🤣. So for effect, I would say it’s a “don’t worry be happy” stoney experience.
I’m going to squirrel this away and let it cure. Will probably consume when the Paris Olympics 2024 starts, should make the games memorable, all faded on banana purple punch.
I’m going to let the added heat and bugs of the summer pass and start a Guava auto late August. Thanks to those of you who have followed and liked my diary. Have a great summer✌️.
I have only heard about this in passing and have not done it.
It is part of KNF correct??
If so, I think it can't hurt to try it. Might be a waist of time or might be ok.
