So the first of the pistils are maturing, turning orange and receding. This for me signals the start of the ripening phase. Light intensity has been reduced air circulation fans are on for 15 minutes every hour and the exhaust fan is on 24/7.
The plant smells strong. I would say the flower predominant terpene is myrcene with its ripe mango fruit and body odour smell….lovely. The fuel smell is muted at the moment but there is a slight pineapple sweet smell developing.
I’ve got to admit I got behind on this plants needs and whilst I’m happy the plant is depleting the chlorophyll from it leaves efficiently it started a little too early. This will result in a reduced yield. I’m not mad though I have still managed to farm trichomes galore on this frosty AF plant.
Next grow I will be mindful that if I do not use bottled nutrients I will need to increase the pot size and possibly increase the compost content of the grow medium to meet the needs of the plant.
So I predict about 10 days from now this plant will just simply stop drinking and be ready for harvest. However no need to flush, in fact I’m going to continue to add ferments to the water…I welcome your thoughts on this.
The terpene profile of these plants fascinate me but I really don’t have the vocabulary to describe them. Those of you that have grown the BPP, what do you think the terpene profile is?
I have only heard about this in passing and have not done it.
It is part of KNF correct??
If so, I think it can't hurt to try it. Might be a waist of time or might be ok.
