Welcome to week 3! Still not sure about how well this one is going to do based on the sprouting rate of the seeds (1 of 3), the weird mutation on the recent growth (see last week), and the plant in general seems to be a little slow and on the small side, but at least it doesn't seem to be a runt. Topping most likely next week.
- Plant generally looks green and healthy, stem bulking up well, no signs of burns or deficiencies
- Runoff pH stable around 5.8 PPM steadily coming down every day from the fresh coco and is now around 1360 (fed with 982 PPM water)
- Watering every day, alternating one day with feed, one day without
- Light at 350 PPFD

Seeing nice growth and development, she's starting to fill in and stretch a bit. Feeling better in general about this one!
- Everything nice, green, and healthy, no signs of burning or deficiencies
- Continuing with same watering and feeding schedule, alternating days of water and feed
- Light and tent conditions staying steady and stable
- 3rd set of nodes look big enough to start training, so I will top her and start the mainlining in the next day or two
- Runoff pH stable at 5.8 and PPM finally down to around 1130

First topping! She was growing vigorously enough and was up to the 6th node coming in, so I decided to top her and start the mainline now that the third nodes were developed enough to actually train. Topped down to the third node and removed all nodes and fan leaves above and below the third node. Light feeding afterwards, now to wait to see how she recovers.

Recovering really well from topping and developing a nice wingspan. Not a ton of updates, but she looks happy and healthy.
- No changes to tent conditions or watering/feeding schedules
- Plant taking about .5 gal of water each day and producing a fair amount of runoff (which I'm saving and giving to my outdoor garden)

Things continue to look great, plant catching up to the Green Gelato in the same tent despite sprouting a week later. Still smaller, but doing really well!
- Daily adjustments of LST ties to keep plant flat
- No changes to tent conditions, feeding, or watering schedule
- Light up to 400 PPFD, plant seems happy
- Still a few days away from second topping as third nodes are just starting to come it
- Runoff pH around 5.8 and PPM down to under 1000, so coco seems to be stabilizing

OK, well...
5 days later and the seeds that seemed to have happily germinated and were transferred to moist coco...have done nothing. The two Green Gelato seeds germinated at the same time and planted the same way popped right up in a couple of days, but not the White Widow. Dug down a bit and the first one had rotted, the second one looked clean and white, but no growth.
So, I covered it again a bit more loosely and kept the coco moist and have started germinating a second seed in moist paper towels to see if that will work, but it looks like this is starting over here and at least one of the initial seeds was a bust (and I don't have great hopes for the second one).
We'll see!
