Welcome to week 4! Plant is recovering from the brown leaf issue and the excessive light, so she got her first haircut. This plant is going to be mainlined, and since it's in the same tent as a White Widow that is a week behind (see the other diary), I think I might top this one three times and the other only 2 so they can be flipped to flower at the same time.
- Light at 350 PPFD at leaf top
- Runoff pH fairly stable around 5.8, PPM around 1000
- Watering every day, alternating one day with feed, one day without
- Plant had 6 modes when topped
- Topped down to third node and removed all leaves and nodes above and below the third
- Trying a different training approach with the plant ring, making a grid with the plant wire then will be tying the plant to that. The ring is attached loosely to the fabric pot to keep the plant from pulling it up.

Plant recovering from topping really well. The old fan leaves are not getting any better, of course, but the new growth is green and healthy, and turning toward the light as it should.
- Second set of nodes on the branches coming in
- Was initially worried about her being a too compact to train well, but her wingspan is really good and I think the mainline training will turn out pretty well with this strain
- Continuing with same watering and feeding schedule, alternating days of water and feed
- Light and tent conditions staying steady and stable
- Making slight adjustments to the training each day to keep her flat
5/28/24
Continuing to do really well after the topping, second set of nodes coming in nicely and plant is developing a good wingspan.
- No changes to tent conditions or watering/feeding schedules
- Plant taking about .5 gal of water each day and producing a fair amount of runoff (which I'm saving and giving to my outdoor garden)
5/30/24
Keeping on the training adjustments to keep plant nice and flat, things looking fine and stable.
- Bouncing back from the topping as well as could be, 4th set of nodes coming in
- Second topping should be able to happen in a few more days
- No change to feed and water schedule, tent conditions stable
- Light now at 400 PPFD, plants seem happy
@Realtor_Red, Thanks! Getting close to the end, and I'm pretty happy with how it's turning out. Learning some things for the next go, but this one is better than the last, so onward and upward! 😃
5/3/24
- First true leaves are out
- Humidity domes removed
- Light feeding started with General Hydroponics Flora Series
- Plant 1 looking OK
- Plant 2 bouncing back, still smaller than #1, but I'm more optimistic about it given how it looked when it emerged
- Maintaining daytime humidity in the mid 70's (F) and mid 60's (F)
- Humidity at 76% in tent
@Dabking, Thanks so much! This was a fun grow and I learned a lot along the way, I think there are some nice outcomes here. Please do stay tuned- the way Grow Diaries works, it looks like I can't add multiple weeks to document the drying and curing, but I'll keep updating this page as all of that goes along so people can see what the ultimate outcome and results are. Really looking forward to seeing how this one turns out!
@Legendaryseedthumb, Thanks very much! I think it turned out pretty well (we'll see after the dry and cure), but I also learned a lot along the way for the next one. Always trying to get better and get more knowledge. Thanks for checking out my diary!
