Germinated a runt seed in pharma bottle & she cracked within 24 hours. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get back with her for 4 days, so she bathed for 4 days too long.
I realize she's slow growing due to her initial root damage and this being a Kratky grow. She should start to pick up speed with new air roots and the Space Bucket grow chamber. I don't really care how fast she grows, as long as she's healthy and without root rot. I hope this shows folks they don't need the best equipment to grow plants indoors, you just need the basics and some patiencs.
Many changes happened this week, you can see the notes in the pictures.
Removed from Space Bucket, changed to larger reservoir, increased lighting and added external fan.
The deficiencies were corrected with the larger res and solution change.
My tap water starts off high, 220 ppm, with the nutrients she's around 825 ppm and the pH is around 5.8
She has had some high stress this week due to the topping 2" off trunk, all large fan removal from trunk, spayed the roots with H2O2 due to white spotting (fungus maybe) on the netpot and also due to the fungus gnat. Keeping pH between 5.8 and 6.4. Food isn't being used much, nor has the water usage been high and much less than a DWC grow. I'm thinking about doing a DE root bath and another H2O2 spray early next week helping prevent pathogens. I'll wait till the 27th or 28th to flip the lights for a 90 day flowering stretch, I'm expecting her to double her size.
Patience grasshopper 😴💤💤
Flipped lights to 12/12 on 5-25, she's past ready and showing tons of pre-pistil activity.
Flowering is my favorite time of growing due to the terpenes, 80-90 days going forward with this Sativa hybrid 😎
Removed lower leaves and bud sites, I'll also do this one more time post stretch.
A 60 watt red light will be added during flower.
This week was huge for the girl, she doubled her size from 16" on 5/25 to 36" on 6/5.
Definitely showing some inflorescence, 80-90 days remaining.
Nutrient deficiencies: could be because she's drinking allot of water due to the 260 watts of light. Either way the pH is falling daily due to the nutrient concentration.
Completely changed the nutrient solution for the first time. I'll be changing over to the 7 gal (usable 3 gal) bucket helping reduce the pH fluctuations. Added a 60 watt heavy red LED.
Cheers and happy growing!
She had another big week during the stretch, 10" stretch for the week. Her height of 46" had me exchange reservoirs from a bucket to a tote and place her under a net helping even the light distribution. I badly damaged her roots transferring from the bucket to the tote, I should have cut the roots instead of compressing them. Hit with H2O2 due to a few fungus gnats and afterward started the SAGFF beneficials for the damaged roots. Lesson learned, don't let the roots get quite so large before deciding to transfer to another reservoir. The plant looks much better during her sleep time, the leaves don't droop anymore. This shows she needed more O2 than the buckets surface could provide and or there was a CO2 buildup in the bucket during the night.
She's self defoliating due to the pythium, looks like she's being Schwazzed. Cal/Hypo was the treatment of choice. She's been showing slow improvements.
Things have improved, roots are looking much better. I've foliar sprayed the plant a few times during the week due to pythium and lack of nutrient uptake. Roots are looking much better, still using SAGFF to control pythium. Will need to do a full nutrient exchange this week. I've stayed with a non-circulating system and I happy with the results, the pythium was my doing during the handling of the reservoir exchange 😐
Things have been looking pretty bad due to the pythium/root rot, not many pics due to things are the same as last week. Can't seem to get a handle on the rot; just doing what I can to get her to harvest. She continues to cannibalize herself and spent golden leaves continue dropping. Pistils are around 40-50% orange with the remaining white, I think things will speed up due to the pythium, she'll have no choice but to shut down. Buds will be popcorn, but should still be a good medicine. The only other thing is keeping an eye out for botrytis or bud rot, because I've been foliar feeding her couple times each day when the lights are on 😥
This strain is great, it's resilient and resistant to issues, I'm surprised I'm harvesting anything after the pythium nightmare. She's probably 80% sativa, she's not a purebred. For a truer knowledge of this Amnesia check out my first grow of her. That being said, expect same Sativa cultivar traits from this Amnesia, don't overdo it and and you'll never see couch lock. I love the aroma and flavor. I can see her producing a lot of medicine when grown without pythium, outside she'd be a monster crop. I've vacuum sealed her into 12 individual quarters, not to sell her, but for freshness. My guess is her THC is around 15%. She's a little harsh right now, but I expect that to go away while curing in the sealed bags over the next few months.
High Supplies offers this one at a fair price:

I harvested but still (have about 20% of the lower canopy remaining 2nd pic) and will harvest remainder in 1 or 2 weeks. Still waiting on the trichomes to cloud! One more week will make 12 full weeks of flowering, she's truly a Sativa...taking her sweet time. Due to the pythium she couldn't support all of the buds plumping. Hopefully the remaining bracts will fill/plump better.
Whats up Growmie, nice Grow keep up the good work 👌🏽🍀 check out mine, maybe you got some tipps 🙏🏽 don‘t forget to Like & follow if you like my organic grows 💯
