Seeds are from german youtuber „openmind“s store, likely to be cheap bulk seeds, not much information given.
I put the seeds between two cottonpads, which i previously sprayed down with water and left them in a ziplock bag for 48 hours.
Placed plant 1 in its final sized pot (9L), while plant 2 was placed in a smaller ~0.6L pot, used see through foil to keep the humidity up and occasionally sprayed the soil down with water.
Took about 48h for both of the the germintated seeds to start showing.
Not really any special lighting going on besides natural sunlight and 2 small 12w LEDs.
(This whole grow was supposed to be on my south facing windowsill, because i did not want to spend that much money...)
DISCLAIMER: as this is my first grow, you will probably see a lot of pointless or straight up wrong things, but i wanted to share my experience as a first time grower :)
I decided that those small 12w LEDs would not cut it in the long run, also because of how shity the weather in germany can be, so i orderd a 36W LEDs from Sansi to support the whole project a little bit more.
Removed the foil to bring the humidity down to "normal" levels, also i repotted plant 2 into a 9L pot.
Not that much else happening in week 3, think they both are doing pretty good.
Although i was very interested in seeing the outcome of a cheap low effort grow, i started looking into some more "professional gear" and will move away from my windowsill into a growbox beginning week 5.
As mentioned in the previous week, i finally moved them to a growbox, which also means that i have changed my Sansi BR30 36W lighting to the Greenception GC4. :)
I also topped "plant 2" on day 1 and left the other one as it was.
Turned on the flower setting of my GC4 and started adding nutrients.
Plant 1 looks absolutly perfect, while plant 2 started looking slightly unhealthy... (some leaf tips curling down). Well... i've tested the ph leves of my local tab water and noticed the water is to alkaline (8.5 to be exact), so i orderd some pH- by BioBizz.
Also plant 2 in particular grew into a very dense bush, i feel like i'm slowly running out of space and a lot of leafs dont get any light, so I'll have to do something about that.
BioBizz Bio-pH- finally arrived and i got the pH level of my water down to around 6.8.
Also i've removed some leafs in the lower parts of the plants and bend them so the space of my growbox is used more efficiently.
I also performed LST on plant 1 which worked out nicely, ~the only thing i am worried about, is that plant 2 still does not show any flowers (worst case its just not automatic, they were bulk seeds afterall)~
Some roots started showing on the surface of the pots, so i covered them up with a thin layer of soil. After talking to my good friend @EndlessBuds i've decided to move them to a bigger 22L Pot on Day 47, as you can see the smaller pot was fully rooted through on both plants :)
Something else amazing happened on Day 47, plant 2 finally began to flower ❤️
Defoliated and some LST done on both plants, they pretty much fill out my whole box with the majority of flowers beeing on one level.
After changing for the bigger pot size, i only have to water them every 2 - 3 days :) + i bought a big container to premix „large“ quantities of water to save time, also my pH- is now easier to dose with 1,5ml/10L
Humidity is kinda high because it had been raining for the whole week. Got a cheap dehumidifier to lower it bit down a bit, which sadly dosen't do much :( Also i've got a fucking pest of little flys (i honestly dont no the english word for TRAUERMÜCKEN....), i've added some kind of special oil to the water and hung up those yellow sticky things, so hopefully it will get better.
Plant 1 is developing really nice flowers. smells extremly good while working with the plant :)
Wish both plants were on the same level so i can harvest them both at a time, maybe i will buy some sort of net to dry the harvest of plant 1 above the light beneath the filtering system while plant 2 finnishes.
As you can see by now Plant 1 (LST only) is way smaller in mass than plant 2 (Topping & LST), which grew huge and remindes me of a small olive tree. Also both of my 22L pots are rooted through already!
Don't know why some people hate on repotting autoflowers, both of my plants are doing amazing and they are way bigger than i've could imagin.
They both are doing amazing ♥️
Removed some leafs here and there, i am really happy with the way they have developed :)
I currently water them every 3 days.
It’s getting really hard to keep plant 2 under controll and somewhat even on top, it grew way bigger than plant 1 and is filling out 2/3 of my growbox...
The leafs turned pretty dark so i cut down on nutrients, sadly i cant controll the nitrogen specifically.
I'm completly overwhelmed by how good my first grow is working out, the flowers are covered in crystals and i think plant 1 will be ready for harvest in a few weeks
Plant 1 should be ready soon, Buds gained alot of mass in past few days and all of the trichomes turned milky ✨
got some smaller less developed flowers in the bottom of the plant, i probably should have removed them but i guess its to late now to have any effekt…
Stopped adding nutrients on Plant 1 and lowered the dose on Plant 2.
With Plant 1 out of the way i now have enough space :)
Tenperatures are getting a little high and i feel like my harvested floweres are drying a bit to fast :/
Plant 1 (84 days): 39,5g
Got some pretty nice looking buds out of it, not very dense tho, left them to dry for around 12 Days, humidity droped below 50% during the day which kinda scared me but i think they turned out nicely
Plant 2 (96 days): 65,4g
Buds are way denser, removed the bigger stuff while it was still wet and trimmed the rest once it dried.
