Day 1, 11.05.2024
Barbara germinated & is directly thrown into the fir- erm, into "the wild" (my roof terrace:D)
I decided to use my brand new 12.5L airpot for this low effort grow. The seed was a free seed from one of my purchases lately.
I filled the airpot with pre-moistured Light Mix plus 35g of Easy Boost Organic Nutrition (for Roots). It should help over the complete grow with fertilizer. On top of that I filled ~5cm of plain light mix. The idea: as the plant is in germinated/ very early grow its thirst for nutrients is little to none existent. So after it worked it's way through the soil plug it will reach unfertilized soil and only after that it gets access to very lightly fertilized soil. Let's see how this turns out :)
As this strain is an automatic and I think except for some exceed fertilizer from my indoor grow I will not give additional nutrients - I cannot legally harvest more than 50g anyway.
Day 2
Nothing to do but to give a sip of water in the morning.
Day 3
Watching my DIY PET humidity dome being blown away by a slight breeze I decided to fixate it on the airpot using my hole puncher and some wire. Works like a charm. I intend to leave the dome in place for the first week and until 6 leaves are visible.
Day 4
Nothing to do.
Day 5
- Gave ~50ml of water to Barbara & sprayed the PET dome for increased humidity anticipating another sunny day in western germany
Day 7
There were quite extensive rainfalls the last days. The soil is quite wet. Despite of this fact Barbara is growing further & is looking good.
So we are closing week 1. Finally, because I need to have everything in jars before my summer vacation. Barbara is clocking in at 3cm height in the end of week 1.
