Day 7 watering of BioAg multimino + solution grade gypsum 1/4 tsp each in 1 quart of water. Only about 6oz given to the plant. Blumats set up to maintain about 50mbar
Had a few parameters throwing off the nutrient uptake. Soil was a bit too wet, humidity a bit too high, and light intensity a bit too high. Growth is fast, but the plant is struggling to mobilize adequate calcium it seems. Fixed the environmental issues and drenched about a quart of water with 1/4 tsp of micronized gypsum and 1/8 tsp fertifulvic. Also applied a foliar of .5g/L L-glutamine, .5g/L OA VN, and .5ml/L each of OA FPT and FCB.
Late to flower auto but maybe to be expected with a heavy sativa leaner like this (10/90 I/S). Some selective defol and lowers removal is the only training being done after the initial topping and tie down. I want the current branches to have plenty of opportunity to develop unstressed. Soil is being drenched at least once a week with fungal compost extract.
The Old School Mango Haze from Mephisto has taken its time before initiating flower. I wasn’t planning on doing a second tie down but I didn’t want to run out of vertical space, though I still might if she keeps stretching for another week or two. Smells are sharp and strongly piney & musty.
Some of the leaves have what looks like calcium deficiency to me, so I’m backing off the OA TR/PK for a while, and only adding solution grade gypsum and compost extracts for a while. I may have exacerbated the stretch as well by adding those too early- live and learn.
Fell off the grow journal.. unfortunately had to take a few unplanned trips out of town and this stretchy girl worked her way into the lights multiple times while I was gone. I ended up harvesting early and washing everything into bubble hash. Not the best result by a long shot, but the smoke is ridiculous anyways. Very heady, very euphoric, near psychedelic smoke. I will run this again, or the freebie Hazed n Confused that came with it (fugue state x OSMH I think) but will be much more aggressive with training due to my short tent. I’m thinking she could have taken at least one, if not two more toppings to try and keep her height down. For a short tent like mine, it’s basically going to take an effort of trying to stunt her to prevent growth into the lights.
This plant likes to grow and flowering stretch lasted multiple weeks adding probably about three times to her height if not more. Very sativa leaning on all fronts, with a great fruity, astringent nose, and insanely heady high. When taking drags it’s the kind of smoke that hits you right in the front of your head, high in the nostrils and sets you on a ride. If you have anxiety, or are a nervous smoker for any reason, either mix this with a CBD type smoke, let her mature longer, or maybe just avoid all together. Even just sprinkling small amounts of this bubble hash into some CDLCxSkywalker joints turned the experience into a very heady experience. Crazy plant.
