Eleven Roses feminized free seed.. I will attempt my first DWC grow, and my first scrog in this diary. We have one fem.seed that we start in a rooting plug After a day or two it pops and we turn on the top feed in our 5g DWC bucket. This system is fast! Growth is consistent and steady, I use a ph indicator and a Chem plate for ph analysis, I keep this yellow through out. .. just clnx and calimag for now 0.4ec with RO water...

She is allowed to recover during week 5, and a screen is hung. We will start weaving her during the last week of veg. Ec will also be tapered off before the flip but keep the npk even for the transition, and stretch period...

This week is busy with a lot of time spent maintaining the canopy and I'm realizing that I will have to raise the screen quite a bit, and five gallon reservoir is clearly too small, she is using up to 1gal per day...

The canopy is thick, she is going to need defoliation, we will wait for week 2 to strip her. Just keeping the canopy even and letting her do what she does during the first week of transition...

Week eight is full of the same routine with a ton of tucking and weaving. By mid weak I decided to let her go on and stretch out vertically. She has multiple colas and a ton of secondary. Suckers that pop up below the screen are promptly removed. Cuttings are taken at this point and flipped back to veg so we can keep her around...npk is still even but ec is raised to 1.2...

Ok this week we had to swap the reservoir, and with no easy way to lift the plant we decided to tie the stems to the screen and lift them together, when it is high enough we remove the 5 gal bucket and trade for a 17 gal tote. We decided to keep the plant suspended by the screen for the rest of the grow, we will see how that works out. Nutrients are moved to a stronger flower profile as the transition is complete...

So back from vacation and oh my gee, she has advanced tremendously in smell, size, color, did I mention the smell? Wow, she is solid and starting to yellow from the top down, and the lavender and lime green tones are just beautiful! She is showing about 50% of her pistils are turning red. On day 45 of flower the ph is a consistent 6.0 the chemplate shows a consistent yellow indicator color throughout the grow. Ec is at 0.10 and she is only given a small amount of Flora blend and a bit of flicious plus. . Gonna be a good one I think, I counted them today and 61 colas in total! But I'm looking for tips on drying and curing? Always been my weakness! Shout out to The Fox Farmer! I've kind of lurked your eleven diary. Hats off my friend...

Any advice on harvesting the plant? Drying and curing, maintaining the aroma, flavor, and appearance? This has been a struggle for me in the past...

There are various methods that people use to harvest my friend . One of the methods being taking your plant cutting it down leaving the big fan leaves on it and hanging it for 4-7 days before trimming it the reason people do it like this is when you cut leaves and they aren't dry they will release chlorophyll and if your not careful you can cover your bud in it and it will make it taste a little different . You wanna make sure that when you're hang drying that you do it in an area which is dark and you can have the humidity as low as possible because with leave the big fan leaves on you're leaving the plant closed up and the big leaves may block the gentle breeze from flowing through the plant . Another method you can do is called wet trimming we're essentially you cut off a branch then do you're trimming right away then hang dry it for 4-7 days , you could also trim it while its on the plant still but you have less control and its pretty frustrating . For curing people usually hang dry there flowers for 4-7 days or until when they touch the buds it makes a crisp sound or the place them in a drying rack for the same amount of time until you hear the crisp sound , you can then take your flowers and place them in jars and seal them off for the rest of the curing which takes anywhere from 2-6 weeks . If you decided to place them in the jars you can purchase bodeva humidity packs and this will control the humidity inside the jar to a certain% there are a variety of % you can choose from 45 , 50 , 55 , 60 and 65% again you want the humidity as low as you can get it a safe number is 45-50 % I would still recommend that you open the jars daily and check your buds allowing fresh air to get to them in order to prevent stale smelling bud . If you aren't using the humidity packs i advise when you place them in the jars to take them out 2x a day leave them sit on a table till they dry up and make that crisp sound again then place them back into the jar you will notice how ever that it will not take days this time it will only take hours if not less , as time goes on you will need to open the jars less and less until you wont need to open them unless your ready to smoke some of them buds . The aroma and flavor come from the cure if you have a terrible cure you will have terrible tasting and smelling cannabis . The longer you cure the better , your flowers will be more aromatic , flavourful and most importantly more potent !! I hope this information is useful in helping you select a harvesting / curing method that best suits your needs . -Happy Growing!

Ok so we will chop the roses down before her day cycle starts on day 51, she is about 60-70 % red hair and through the scope we see that the trichomes are just cloudy and will begin to degrade and fall over if we are not careful with the timeline. The deep water current system is stupid fast and will shave 5-7 days off the length of the flowering stage, and with the Eleven Roses strain already having a fast 56 day finish, we harvest in an impressive 50 days. She has been in pure ro water for 7 days and I'm comfortable with the flush...

The sample is of a slightly premature branch taken at day 46 of flower.. It is dried for 7 days and jarred for 2 days, even so it is killer smoke, a bit tiring, and gives us a serious appetite. A night time smoke fore sure. The whole plant is hung inside the tent and temp is set at 68° and the humidity is set at 43%.only the exhaust fan is run at a low speed. All of the big fan leaves are removed and smaller leaves are left but will be trimmed dry before we jar them... the final dry weight is 163 grams or 5.8 oz. From the 600 watt light and the one plant we yield about 1/4 gram per watt, the tent was not totally full and a few more days wouldn't have hurt on the lower bud sites! I'm confidant we can yeild 1/2 gram per watt if we decide to grow this strain again! The Eleven Roses strain has been a fun grow and a first time for us in a rdwc system. I think I will be ordering some more of this strain!

One Eleven Roses plant in the 3x3 screen in rdwc and 600 watts of light produced 5.8 oz of high quality medicine. A good haul, but with a few more days she might have done a bit better! Her nutrients could have ran a bit longer. Next time I will keep the cal mag around , and just reduce a few weeks before we harvest. This has been a fun a rewarding grow for us an we will highly recommend this strain for the beginning grower and connoisseurs. I don't think a commercial grow would see a lot of use for this strain though. I think that will keep this strain out of most of my local dispensary. In which is why I'm so happy with this strain. An easy to grow and hard to buy medicine that will keep us satisfied. It's gonna be a great Christmas this year!!00

Thanks @ ValhallasGarden for taking the time to share your experience with me. In the past I have always manicured them before hanging them and usually only for 2-4 days before calling them dry. I have used boveda before but maybe too wet when I put them in the jars? It has for the last couple of harvessts turned out with a killer high but the "homegrown" smell is a problem.. think I will try your method of leaving them with the leaves on for the hang. Should I hang it whole in the tent I grew in, or cut each branch individually? The tent should be at 71-72°, and RH around 42% in there... And how should the air intake and exhaust be managed? Should I turn the fans off? I really appreciate any input, I want to get this one right!
the end.
