PainHarvester Hey there! So this week I made a big upgrade and got myself a new humidifier, but it broke right away due to the high humidity 😱 Because of the uncontrollability of the humidity in such a small space, I built a pretty effective box in my closet (oh, by the way, a little side note: PC fans, no matter how old, are super easy to connect to an old USB cable, and everything is in sane condition). I also did LST on each plant with an individual "growth plan." Additionally, I watered them all with a "root fertilizer" (blended with water and then sifted out after 20 minutes—so if you see little green things on the ground, that's (so far) not mold). I found some spider webs and little red bugs in the big painted pot; I've heard something about them before and quickly got rid of them. In the following days, I didn't see any more red spots. Can anyone tell me how far a plant needs to be to top it? I don’t want to do it too early to avoid stressing the plant unnecessarily, but also not when the flowering has already started, and I'm afraid I'll miss that window. Today, on the 9th, I finally got my soil and repotted, but unfortunately, all the taproots broke because my soil mix stuck to the clay pots like dried food (2 of the pots didn’t survive the repotting). I chose clay pots because of their availability and superior air circulation, but I won’t repeat that if I need to repot again. 2 of the plants might need to be repotted again because they are still in 5L pots (plastic), while I found a 7L clay pot for the other one, which I think should be enough. What do you think? Are the 5L pots sufficient, or do you think I should upgrade to 7L here as well? Oh, and the soil is the oat soil from Sonnenerde; it seems like a good overall package with a good price-performance ratio. We’ll see how it goes, but the consistency and water-retaining abilities are already appealing to me. Also, I’ve stopped the LST since the break of the taproot is probably enough stress. How fatal is it that the taproot is broken? I also watered with this "willow tea" again, hoping it helps the roots regenerate. Feel free to sit on a garden chair and enjoy the sight of a beginner learning everything anew and repeating all the old mistakes or making the best buds flourish with the simplest means. Oh, and one of the USB fans fell on one of the ladies, but she’s tough; the fan just stopped (I really couldn’t find any injuries on the plant, no matter how well I looked). So make sure to secure everything properly because if it had exceeded its actual 16 volts and not just the 5 volts from USB, I would have a 5-gallon salad bowl filled mostly with soil, and we don’t want that.
